Chapter 9 Be Force To Go Home
"How dare you!"
Gianni got so angry because of her, "Tell me. Will you come back or not?"
"No!"
"Well! That's what you said! If your grandmother find trouble with you, don't blame me for not informing you!"
Gianni felt that he really couldn't communicate with her because she was too apathetic, so he simply hung up the phone.
Clarissa sneered and ignored him. She put the phone away and continued to eat the takeout food she had just ordered.
Chloe sat in the dining room and saw Gianni coming in angrily, she frowned slightly.
"How is it? Did you inform her? Will she come back tonight?"
Gianni said with annoyance, "How can she listen to me? She is more and more impolite now. She won't come back unless I beg her to come back."
Chloe's face changed.
She slammed the chopsticks on the table.
"How dare she!"
Everyone in the dinning room was shocked. Since her husband died, Chloe had been in charge of the Chapman family. She had an aura of authority. When she lost her temper, everyone would be so scared.
Lena winked at Lara who sat opposite her.
Lara picked up the soup in front of her and walked to Chloe in a hurry. She said softly, "Grandma, don't be angry. Your health is more important."
Lena interrupted as well, "That's right. If Clarissa doesn't want to come back, don't force her. We can think of other ways about this. Don't get sick due to anger."
Chloe sneered, "Are you kidding? She did not come back just because she is unwilling to come back? I must let her come back today! I'd like to see how arrogant she can be!"
As she spoke, she waved her hand and called the butler, Marcus.
"Marcus, go and find out where she is now, and then send someone to tell her if she doesn't come back tonight, I will burn all the things left by her mother! She won't get anything of her mother."
Marcus's face changed and he replied in a hurry, "Okay."
......
In the afternoon, Clarissa finished delivering the last order and was ready to get off work.
Unexpectedly, as soon as she walked out of the store, she saw Marcus standing there.
As the housekeeper who had worked in the Chapman family for more than ten years, Clarissa naturally knew him.
Before Lena and Lara came to the Chapman family, she had a good relationship with Marcus. Although they were not so close, they respected each other.
When Clarissa saw him again, she suddenly thought of the phone call from Gianni at noon, and her face turned a little cold.
"Miss Chapman, you get off work."
Marcus walked to her and said. Clarissa held the key and glanced at him blandly.
"Marcus, long time no see."
"Long time no see. You're getting more and more beautiful. If your mother is still alive, she must be very relieved."
Clarissa smiled and asked, "If my mother is still alive, will you support my mother or Lena?"
Marcus did not expect that she would suddenly ask such a question, and he didn't know what to say.
Clarissa didn't want to make things difficult for him. She just chuckled and said, "I'm just kidding. Don't be nervous."
Marcus almost broke out in a cold sweat. He laughed with embarrassment.
"Why did you come here?"
Marcus said in a hurry, "Your grandmother sent me to pick you up."
Clarissa's eyes turned apathetic. She said with a mocking smile on her face, "Gianni didn't tell you that I refused to go back?"
"He said that, but your grandmother said that... if you don't go back, your mother's remians would be disposed of."
Marcus's words were implicit, but Clarissa immediately understood what he meant.
Her face darkened, "What does she want to do?"
Marcus looked like he was in a dilemma.
After a pause, he tried to persuade Clarissa earnestly, "Miss Chapman, in order to go against the Chapman family, haven't you suffered enough losses during these years? You just need to go home and eat a meal. Your mother only left a few things. Cherish it before you lose it."
Clarissa's face was livid and straight.
After a long time, she slowly loosened her fists and said, "I see."
Seeing that she had agreed, Marcus breathed a sigh of relief.
He bent down to open the car door for her, "Miss Chapman, please get in the car!"
Clarissa didn't say anything else and got into the car.
Twenty minutes later, the car drove into the villa of the Chapman family.
The villa was located in the well-known rich area in Visstead. Fronting water and with a hill at the back, the scene was very beautiful.
She got out of the car and walked inside with a poker face.
In the living room, Lena and Lara were picking out dresses for the birthday banquet the day after tomorrow.
For Lara, who was about to announce her relationship with Elliot, that was naturally a big day. It was not only her birthday but also the day she would get engaged to Elliot.
After discussing the engagement at noon, Chloe ordered them to pick dresses as soon as possible and book a hotel.
There were only two days left, so it was definitely too late to have the dress made to order.
Fortunately, it was only a birthday banquet. The engagement was only her and Elliot's personal thought. She only needed to announce to the public that she had got engaged to Elliot, so there was no need for her to dress up too formally.
After a whole afternoon's selection, she finally picked out a few sets of dresses she liked.
Someone would deliver more dresses to her home tomorrow, and she only needed to try them on and pick her favorite one.
When Lara and Lena were discussing happily, there was a sudden noise at the door.
As soon as they looked up, they saw Clarissa coming in.
She wore a white shirt and black pencil pants, which set off her slender and straight legs. She wore a beige windbreaker, with her wavy hair hanging loose over her shoulders. She looked unemotional and elegant.
Looking at her, Lara felt jealous in her heart.
She hated to see Clarissa's hypocritical look.
In her heart, Clarissa was just a woman who sold adult erotica products, but she dressed like a top-notch person. She looked arrogant and cold, which made people think that she was noble.
However, at the thought of Clarissa's job, Lara felt a faint sense of joy in her heart.
She thought, "So what if you pretend to be lofty? You can't live a better life than me."
"I'm the daughter of the Chapman family, and I am a popular actress in the entertainment circle. But what about you?"
"You're just an abandoned daughter. So what if you're capable? You can't keep your job anymore."
"At that time, you can only stay in the small ten-square-meter shop all day and sell the adult erotica products."
Thinking of this, Lara felt smug. She straightened her back and stepped forward with a smile on her face.
"Clarissa, you're here!"
Lena also came to sense. She quickly stepped forward with a warm smile on her face.
"Clarissa is here. Have a seat! Penny, pour Clarissa a glass of water."
Penny poured a glass of water for Clarissa in a hurry. But her eyes were filled with disdain when she looked at Clarissa.
Clarissa didn't mind it. She asked in a cold voice, "Why do you ask me to come here?"
Lena's face looked a little awkward.
Seeing this, Lara quickly stepped forward and held Clarissa's arm. She smiled and said, "Clarissa, don't hurry. It's not easy for you to go home. Let's talk after dinner! We haven't chatted together for a long time. It's still a while before dinner. How about going to my room and having a talk?"
Clarissa looked at her with indifferent eyes and said sarcastically.
"Talking about what? Talking about how you seduced men? Sorry, I'm not interested in your dirty tricks, and I can't learn them."
