Chapter 1072 At a Risk of Miscarriage

The man looked at Anderson again.
Coby had no choice but to let Anderson, Jara, and Emmeline go.
However, he made sure he had control over Clarissa and Sierra.
Knowing how deep were Anderson's feelings for Clarissa, Coby was certain that he wouldn't let anything happened to her.
Therefore, as long as he had control over Clarissa, he was not afraid of whatever ticks Anderson had under his sleeves.
Once again, Anderson's subordinates looked at Anderson with a doubtful gaze, Anderson nodded his head imperceptibly.
Only then did the man hand over the box containing the Jade of Heaven with a cold face.
When Coby saw the box, his eyes lit up immediately.
Greed was written all over his face. After reaching out and taking over the box, he opened it and saw the three pieces of the Jade of Heaven that Anderson snatched from him previously.
Found it!
Finally, he found it!
At last, Cara could be saved! After waiting for so many years, he finally had a chance to reunite with Cara.
With the thought in mind, Coby cried with joy.
Then, he took a glance at Anderson and the other. Taking advantage of the fact that no one was paying attention, he quickly turned around and ran out.
Seeing that, Jara was the first to react. Reflexively, he was about to chase after Coby.
However, he was stopped by Anderson.
"There's no need to chase after him!"
Turning around, Jara looked at him in confusion.
Anderson shifted his gaze to his subordinate.
"It is fixed in?"
The subordinate nodded and replied, "Yes, it's done."
"Follow him and see where he went."
"Okay."
Immediately, all of his subordinates left.
Subsequently, Jara, Emmeline, and the others finally reacted and asked curiously, "What did you do?"
Smiling faintly, Anderson replied, "It's nothing. It's just a little trick. You'll know soon."
He didn't go into details, but Jara was relieved to see that he already had a plan.
At that moment, they heard a women's groan.
Anderson turned around abruptly and his face suddenly changed.
Clarissa was seen bent over and crouched on the ground, clutching her belly. Accompanying beside her, Sierra grabbed her frantically and helplessly.
"Clarissa!"
He shouted and immediately held Clarissa in his arms. Looking at him, Clarissa hissed, "Anderson, my... stomach hurts."
Following that, dark red blood began to flow down from her thighs.
Anderson's eyes boggled as he stared at her. In an instant, he picked her up and rushed out.
"Get a car. We're going to the hospital!"
The medical facilities were not as great in the desert. The nearest hospital to them was just a small hospital.
At that moment, Anderson looked at Clarissa, who was lying on the hospital bed, and his eyes turned red.
"Clarissa, hang in there. I'll call Robert right away. It'll be all right."
Grabbing his hand tightly, Clarissa was in so much pain that she couldn't speak.
Anderson didn't dare to leave, so he let Sierra call Robert.
Fortunately, when Robert found out that Sierra and Clarissa were here, he was already on his way.
About half an hour later, he arrived at the hospital.
"Where is she? Where is she?"
On the way, he learned from the phone that Clarissa's situation was serious, so he was a little anxious when he came over.
The crowd on the corridor automatically made way for him. Anderson rushed over and grabbed him.
"She's in the operating room. I don't believe the doctors here. Mr. Lane, I count on you. You must..."
Robert waved his hand and interrupted. "Don't worry, I know."
After that, he directly changed his clothes and went into the operating room.
Anderson looked at his empty hand and was in a daze for a long while before he hurriedly followed Robert.
Clarissa was five months pregnant.
Because she was having a twin, her belly was bigger than usual.
In the past few days, she had tried her best to calm herself down and try not to get affected as she was afraid that something might happen to the twin.
But at the end of the day, some things were still out of her control.
Hence, when she saw that the deal was a success and that she was finally not in danger, she lost control of herself.
Her body suddenly collapsed, and at the same time, her stomach couldn't hold on any longer.
It resulted in a sign of miscarriage.
Robert went in for a long time.
He had excellent medical skills, and Anderson trusted him.
However, when he thought of the fact that it was Clarissa who lay inside, he couldn't help but feel a tug in his heart.
Clarissa, his Clarissa.
Please, nothing could happen to her.
There were still so many things he hadn't told her, and there were still so many things he hadn't explained to her.
Including what happened this time, he still owed her an apology.
Anderson stayed beside Clarissa as he held her hand tightly.
Sierra was also very worried.
However, she was too weak to withstand the extreme situation, so she stayed outside and did not go in.
About half an hour later.
Robert finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Okay, she's safe for the time being."
At this moment, because Clarissa was too tired, and her body was too weak, she had long fallen asleep.
Wiping away the sweat on his forehead, Robert looked at Anderson whose face was full of doubts and signaled him to talk outside.
Only then did Anderson reluctantly let go of Clarissa's hand and followed him out, while looking back repeatedly.
"Mr. Lane, how is she?"
As soon as he got out of the operating room, Anderson couldn't wait to ask.
In response, Robert sighed and answered, "She's fine for now. The mother and the child are safe, but because she just went through a risk of miscarriage, she's advised to stay in bed for a while. She shouldn't move, so you can't go back to Ascijan for the time being."
Hearing this, Anderson let out a sigh of relief.
It didn't matter if he couldn't go back to Ascijan, and it didn't matter if he needed to stay in this town.
As long as Clarissa was fine, everything was not a problem.
When Anderson heard his words, he almost cried with joy. After finding out the result, Sierra also let out a sigh of relief.
As for Jara and Emmeline who followed him, they also patted him on the shoulder when they saw this.
"Luckily Clarissa is fine. Anderson, about Coby..."
Only now did Anderson realize that there was still something else that he hadn't resolved.
Immediately, his face darkened.
Regardless of how he had been fighting with Coby, it was no big deal at all.  However, once it involved the safety of Clarissa, he would not let him off that easily.
A hint of maliciousness flashed in the depths of his eyes, and he replied in a low voice, "I will handle this. You don't have to worry about it."
At the same time, he glanced at Emmeline.
"There's one thing. I want to ask you."
Upon hearing that, both of them were stunned.
Their intuition told them that Anderson might not be asking a good question.
However, there was no way to retreat at this point in time.
Therefore, both of them nodded.
"Ask away."
Hence, Anderson asked, "If Coby is dead and we have yet to find the Way Tree, will you blame me?"
Again, both of them were stunned.
They had never thought about this question.
The Way Tree was not only crucial to Emmeline's life, but also to the lives of everyone in the Marsh Family. Would Anderson actually forget about everybody else's lives?
Their silence gave Anderson an answer.
"Let me tell you the truth. I installed a tracker at the Jade of Heaven I gave him as well as a miniature bomb that can be operated from afar."
