Chapter 570 Make Up to Her

"I'll teach you."
After that, he put the gun in her hand, then walked behind her, lifting her arms, and taught her how to aim and shoot.
They were very close to each other. From the back of her ears, she could even feel the warmth from his breath as he spoke. Her cheeks were slightly burning uncontrollably.
Although they had an even more intimate contact before, the situation was different at the time.
At the time, his mind was not clear. And back then, she only wanted to save him and help him, so she didn't worry too much.
Meanwhile, their bodies were tightly pressed together, just like a couple who was in love, with an ambiguous and sweet affection.
Evelyn couldn't help but to twist her body uneasily. In turn, Marty shouted in a low voice. "Don't move!"
Then he adjusted her arm where she held the gun and said, "Okay, that's it. Keep your right arm clenched tight and relax your left arm. That's it. Okay, shoot!"
"Bang!"
The plastic bullet brushed past the hydrogen balloon.
Putting down the gun, she felt slightly regretful, as she pouted and said, "Oh no! I didn't get it."
Rubbing her head, Marty smiled. Rome wasn't built in a day. You never practiced it before, so it's normal if you can't hit it."
Evelyn rolled her eyes at him. "Stop comforting me, sharpshooter!"
After that, he returned the gun to the stall owner, and the two of them left with the plush toys.
Then, as Evelyn suggested, the two of them played the pirate boats, roller coasters, skyrider, and other rides that were more exciting. Initially, Evelyn was not really having fun. However, after several rounds of playing, a lot of her childhood memories were stirred up, and it became very exciting instead.
Three hours later, both of them were a little tired and they found an open-air coffee shop next to the amusement park to take a rest.
Beside the coffee shop was a Turkish ice cream shop. As soon as they sat down, Marty asked her, "Do you want to try?"
Evelyn was not really a fan of desserts previously. However, ever since she became an artist and had to lose weight often by restricting her diet, she stopped eating deserts directly. From then on, she became interested in desserts.
Since they were already playing for a long time that day, a lot of energy was already exhausted. Even if she ate one, she wouldn't gain weight, so she nodded.
Seeing her response, Marty got up and went to the store next door to buy ice cream and handed it to her.
After tearing off the wrapper, she ate it in small mouthfuls while narrowing her eyes to observe the surroundings.
Suddenly, her eyes lit up.
"Let's go play that one later, shall we?"
Following the direction where she pointed with her finger and looking over, Marty realized it was an exploration theme in a secret chamber.
Today, he had purposely come out to play with her on. Of course, he had no objection and nodded.
After Evelyn finished eating ice cream, the two of them came to the secret chamber to explore.
The rule of exploration there was that after entering the secret chamber, you had to find three boxes hidden in the secret chamber, and rely on the instructions in the boxes to find the exit.
Of course, if they really couldn't find them or had an accident during the process, they could ring the alarm and someone would immediately take them out.
When Evelyn was in school, she often asked her classmates to go out with her on weekends. At that time, the girls were bolder. They had played many games that were even more exciting than that one, so of course, they were not afraid at all.
Marty didn't feel anything at all.
Therefore, when the two of them entered, they were both very relaxed.
Until the light suddenly went out.
It was pitch black all around. Instinctively, Evelyn held Marty's hand tightly.
"Don't be afraid!"
His voice was heard, making her slightly calm down.
The secret chamber was made up of many intricate tunnels. The two of them walked along the walls slowly, and no one knew how many forks they had passed in between.
Because Marty had strong logical thinking, the two of them quickly found the first two boxes.
However, following the clues in the box, they couldn't find the third one even after searching for a long time.
Suddenly, a gust of cold wind passed through the passageway and blew on her face. Walking along the wall, they found another fork in the road in front.
Both of them stopped.
Under the faint light of the flashlight, Marty turned to look at her. "How is it? Is it fun?"
Pursing her lips, Evelyn did not answer.
Unsure of the reason, but ever since the lights inside went out, she felt very flustered.
She had never had this kind of feeling before.
Feeling a little confused, as if something great and scary was about to happen.
After noticing that something was off with her expression, Marty knitted his brows.
"Scared?"
Hearing that, Evelyn gritted her teeth and said, "No, let's go on."
"If you don't feel comfortable, just tell me. Don't force it."
Evelyn nodded.
The two chose a road and continued to move forward. Soon, they found the third box.
According to the hint in the box, the two of them found a way out and managed to exit the tunnel.
Looking at the amusement park which was still bustling, the two looked at each other and smiled. They could not help but feel that this game was really not that difficult.
By this time, the sun was already setting. Marty looked at his watch and asked, "What do you want to eat for dinner?"
Evelyn gestured that she could eat anything.
In the end, Marty decided to bring her to a very well-known open-air western restaurant at the outskirts of the city. The name of the restaurant was My Alice.
When they were parking, Evelyn found that there were already a lot of people in the restaurant, and almost all of them were couples.
As it was on the outskirts of the city, the wind was blowing gently in the evening, and the lights were flashing. Because it was an open sitting area, people could see the stars all over the sky when they looked up. It was very romantic.
The two of them walked to the restaurant side by side.
The waiter sat them down at a table warmly. While Evelyn ordered a small steak, Marty didn't seem to like the food here, so he only ordered drinks and salads.
Soon, the dishes were served.
"Actually, there's no need for you to accommodate me like this," said Evelyn as she ate.
For half a day, they had been to a lively place where girls of age13 or 14 liked to go. If she hadn't seen through Marty's intention, she would be an idiot!
Leaning back in his chair, Marty sipped the red wine gracefully, narrowing his eyes slightly.
"I've looked through your information. All these years, you've had a hard time. It's me who didn't take good care of you. I'm sorry."
Slightly stunned, Evelyn looked up and stared at him. "So, you just took me to the place where those little girls like to go to make up to me over the past few years?"
Marty nodded.
"Although it's too late, I hope you can also have the same beautiful memory as others."
All of a sudden, Evelyn lost her appetite, and her excitement was halved.
Putting down the knife and fork, she thought for a moment and gave a wry smile.
"I know you have good intentions, but do you really think that you can turn all the sufferings I have gone through over these years into sweet memories? It is impossible. Because you never experienced it, you will never understand the despair and sadness at that time."
"Moreover, to be honest, no matter what I have experienced, it has nothing to do with you. You don't need to feel indebted because of my past. You have never ..."
