Chapter 419 A Womanizer
It was sent by Luke, with only one sentence.
The corner of Anderson's mouth curled up coldly. His eyes were as cold as ice.
Clarissa had been half-awake all the time. After a while, she dreamed that Yasmin had forcefully handed her a water lily with a strange smile on her face.
After a while, she dreamed that another man in black was chasing her. She tried her best to run, only to be thrown to the ground by that man.
The man took out a knife and smiled cruelly at her. "You know too much. Go to hell!"
Clarissa was so frightened that she jolted awake.
When she opened her eyes, the first thing that caught her eye was the complex and beautiful ceiling above her head, and then the luxurious room.
There was only an orange light in the room. Anderson leaned against the head of the bed with a laptop in hand, busy dealing with something. When he saw Clarissa open her eyes, he asked softly, "You're awake?"
Clarissa let out a sigh of relief, got up, and wiped the cold sweat on her forehead.
Anderson's eyes flickered slightly.
Leaving his notebook behind, he got out of bed, walked outside to pour a glass of water before he handed it to her.
Clarissa took the cup and took a sip. As the warm water went down to her stomach, some of her fear subsided.
"I was almost hurt today," she suddenly said.
Anderson's eyes. "What's going on?"
Clarissa licked her lips and took another sip of water. Then she said, "After I changed my clothes, I overheard the conversation between Issac and Lia. It seems that Issac lost one billion dollars in gambling and that one billion dollars belonged to the company. They're discussing how to resolve it."
Clarissa was very certain that what happened to her tonight must have something to do with them.
Otherwise, why did something happen right after she overheard their conversation?
Yasmin wasn't a good person either. The reason why she fainted was because of the water lily given to her by Yasmin. They must have colluded with one another.
Clarissa knew what she was capable of. She would have no issue dealing with others. As for the Ethanbez family that was deep-rooted in F Country, if she didn't tell Anderson about what had happened, she might die without knowing how.
"Probably because they found out that I heard their conversation, they wanted to kill me to keep my mouth shut."
She paused and said, "Yasmin is up to no good too. She gave me a water lily. I got dizzy after smelling the flower. I didn't drink much before."
Anderson didn't say anything as he stared at her with a deep gaze.
Clarissa noticed the look in his eyes, and her heart skipped a beat.
"You don't believe me?" Her heart sank slightly.
Anderson's lips curled up slightly as he caressed the top of her head.
"You trusted me when I was at my worst. How can I not believe you?"
At that time, when Luke took her to find him, he already felt that something was wrong.
Although she really looked drunk, the expression on Luke's face was not quite right.
It wasn't until he got in the car and saw the text message from Luke that he was sure that there was something fishy going on.
Luke 's message to him was, "The walls have ears. Dead men tell no tales."
Clarissa was relieved when she saw that he didn't doubt her. She patted her chest and said, "I was scared to death just now. Fortunately, I met Luke, otherwise, I would have died."
A cold light flickered in Anderson's eyes.
"Oh, by the way, they also mentioned Jameson. They said that if Jameson didn't kick him out, he wouldn't have become like ths. I think I have to tell Lauren about this. Although I don't like that b*stard, he is now the father of Lauren's child after all. I don't want anything bad to happen to her."
As she spoke, she picked up her phone and sent a text message to Lauren.
Anderson looked at her serious expression and suddenly asked, "Do you know who Yasmin is?"
Clarissa thought for a moment and blurted out, "Isn't it said that she is Elicia's granddaughter?"
After finishing her words, she paused for a moment and finally came to her senses.
She raised her head and looked at Anderson unbelievably.
"Elicia has only one daughter, that is, Lia. Her granddaughter, of course, is naturally Lia's daughter, so it is not strange for them to work together to take care of you in order to hide their secrets."
Clarissa pursed her lips.
"Why do I feel that I'm just a troublemaker? Wherever I go, I can hear the secrets of others."
Anderson was amused by her. He touched her head and said, "Alright, don't think too much. I'll handle it. Rest for a while, I'll go out and make a call."
Clarissa nodded.
Watching Anderson walk to the balcony outside, she still felt a little uneasy.
Lauren still had not replied to her message she sent her just now. She was thinking about whether to call her or not when she suddenly received Marty's text message.
"Clarissa, let me ask you a question. What is the gift that generally women like to receive the most?"
Clarissa was stunned.
Marty asked for her advice on how to send the gift to a woman?
Something was not right.
Wasn't he infamous for being a womanizer? When did he need to ask someone else for advice on this kind of matter?
Clarissa was surprised. After thinking for a while, she replied to him.
"It depends. It's a matter of preference, but almost every woman likes to have beautiful clothes, bags, and shoes."
Marty sent an emoji with a bitter face.
"What if she doesn't like these?"
Clarissa raised her eyebrows.
Her slender fingers quickly typed on the screen.
"That may be because she doesn't like you."
Marty was speechless.
After Anderson finished his phone call, he entered the house and saw Clarissa sitting there with her phone in hand. He didn't know who she was chatting with.
"Who is it?" He walked over.
"Marty." Clarissa raised her head and waved the phone in her hand. "He seems to be in love. Which girl is he wooing? I guess it's Evelyn."
Anderson raised his eyebrows and sat down beside her. He looked at the conversation between the two on her phone and said, "He has been in so many romantic relationships without attachment. Does he need a girlfriend?"
Clarissa smiled and said, "He said that he can't stand seeing so many couples being lovey-dovey around him. He wanted to be in a stable relationship too. I think that he treated Evelyn differently from other girls. Maybe they could be together?"
"Hah!" Anderson chuckled and looked at the time.
It was 11:30 p.m.
After thinking for a while, he suddenly grabbed Clarissa's mobile phone, held her in her arms, and kissed her on the lips.
Clarissa could see the camera flashing, before she saw a photo of them kissing on the phone.
"Send this to him," Anderson said.
Clarissa felt a bit speechless.
"That's... Inappropriate, isn't it?" She was a little embarrassed. "Marty will have a meltdown if he sees this."
"This is what I want to see."
Clarissa was speechless.
As Anderson spoke, seeing that Clarissa did not make any move, he picked up her phone and sent the photo.
