Chapter 17 You're Not Allowed To Sell It To Her
Clarissa got angry. She took the dress and sneered, "What if I must try it on today?"
The shop assistant frowned. Another shop assistant heard the sound and came over.
"What's wrong?"
The shop assistant whispered a few words to her colleague, and her colleague immediately forced a hypocritical smile.
"Miss, this dress is of the latest model of our brand. It costs eighty-eight thousand and eight hundred dollars. Are you sure you want to buy it?"
Clarissa sneered, "I haven't tried it on yet, but you ask me if I want to buy it. How can you receive guests like this?"
"I'm really sorry. We are just trying to protect the interests of other customers. After all, the clothes in our shop are very expensive. If everyone tries them on but they don't buy them, these clothes will all become second-hand clothes. Am I right?"
The shop assistant said this with a smile, but her eyes were full of mockery and sarcasm.
Clarissa felt so unlucky. She really didn't understand why she met such an idiot.
She had always been well-mannered, but she really wanted to scold them at this moment!
She took out a check from her bag and slapped it on the counter.
"Can I try it now?"
The shop assistants were shocked and glanced at the check.
It was a large check. Although they didn't see the amount of money on the check clearly, they know that there were at least one million dollars on the check.
When they looked at Clarissa again, their eyes immediately changed. They smiled flatteringly and said in a hurry, "Of course, please wait for a moment. I'll take it for you now."
Clarissa snorted. She didn't want to argue with them anymore, because she really liked the designer. She took the dress and went into the fitting room.
The dress fitted her well. As she expected, the dress designed by her favorite designer was very beautiful. It was a graduated dark blue color. It was low-key and luxurious. Both its workmanship and design were perfect.
When she came out in the dress, the shop assistants were all stunned by her beauty.
When they saw that she was dressed casually and followed Lauren, they thought that she was Lauren's assistant.
But no one dared think so at this moment.
Clarissa had a slender figure and a gorgeous face, and even her temperament was noble. No assistant could be as elegant as her.
The shop assistant who had received her came forward and said excitedly, "Miss, you look so beautiful in this dress. So many people have tried this dress, but it fits you the most!"
Others agreed with her.
They were not trying to flattering Clarissa, and they were telling the truth.
Clarissa smiled. After changing the dress, she put it on the counter gracefully.
"Pack it up for me."
The shop assistant was naturally happy. Just now, she thought that Clarissa would not buy the dress because she had offended her. But it seemed that she had thought too much.
However, at this moment, a young couple came in from the outside.
"Hey, Clarissa?"
Clarissa turned around and her face darkened.
She thought that she was really unlucky that day.
She didn't want to pay attention to Llianna, so she turned to the shop assistant and said, "Help me pack it up carefully and check if there are any flaws."
"Okay."
The shop assistant held the dress happily and was about to pack it up, but Lliana stopped her.
Lliana looked at the label on the dress and said with a smile, "It seems that you have blackmailed lots of money from Elliot. This dress is worth more than eighty thousand dollars. Clarissa, do you deserve to wear it?"
Clarissa said with cold eyes, "You're not qualified to decide whether I deserve it or not! Get out of my way!"
"Tsk-tsk. Why are you so angry? Don't worry. I'm not here to ask you for money. We don't care about a few million dollars. Take it as what you should earn by sleeping with Elliot these years."
"You had been with him for six years and he slept with you countless times, so the price is not expensive. If he sleeps with an entertainment woman, he has to pay her one thousand dollars for one night! Reece, am I right?"
Lliana covered her mouth and giggled.
The man beside her was called Reece Bradley, and he was a third-line actor in Twilight. Clarissa had given him a few chances to let him act in a few movies, but he was not very popular and Twilight didn't give him many chances afterwards.
Clarissa didn't know how he became Lliana's boyfriend.
Reece was embarrassed. He didn't know what to say.
Clarissa sneered.
"Lliana, go back and ask Elliot whether we have slept with each other or not."
Lliana raised her eyebrows.
She was not young and she knew what would happened when a man and a woman were in a relationship.
In her opinion, Clarissa and Elliot must have slept together because they had been together for many years.
This was an open society and she knew Elliot well.
So she sneered and said, "Don't pretend in front of me! Elliot is not stupid. Although you are very annoying, you're pretty. How could he not sleep with you?"
Clarissa smiled and shook her head regretfully.
"You're right. Elliot is not stupid and I'm not ugly, so... why doesn't he sleep with me?"
After that, she even tilted her head slightly and stared at Lliana with interest.
Being stared at by her, Lliana felt a little nervous for no reason.
She didn't know why she was nervous, but she had a feeling of uneasiness, as if Clarissa had hidden something from her.
Her face changed slightly.
"What do you mean?"
Clarissa said with a smile, "Nothing. I have a bad temper, but I have a good personality. I don't like to speak ill of others behind their backs. If you're curious, ask him yourself!
"After all, he is the only son of your family. If there is something wrong with him, how can your family be inherited? Uncle Conner is such a traditional person, and he will be very sad if he knows it."
Lliana's face changed completely.
"Clarissa! You are talking nonsense! Elliot is not like you said."
Clarissa shrugged, "Whatever!"
As she spoke, she turned her head and took out her card to pay the dress.
However, Lliana stopped her.
"Wait a minute!"
Clarissa frowned.
What she hated the most was such an annoying people like Lliana. She said impatiently, "What do you want to do?"
Lliana snatched the dress from the shop assistant's hands and said unreasonably, "I'll buy this dress. You're not allowed to sell it to her!"
Clarissa got furious but she laughed.
"Lliana, aren't you childish? Do you think the shopping mall is owned by your family? Why are you so unreasonable?"
Lliana lifted her chin, "You're right. This shopping mall is owned by my family indeed. I have the right not to sell it to you!"
As she spoke, she turned to look at the shop assistant.
"I'm the eldest daughter of the Duncan Group. You should know the Duncan Group, shouldn't you?"
The shop assistant's face changed and she nodded in a hurry, "Yes, I know. You're one of the shareholders of this shopping mall."
Lliana raised her eyebrows at Clarissa proudly.
Clarissa was speechless.
At this moment, an extremely cold voice came from outside the door.
"I don't know why a small shareholder is qualified to interfere in customer's decision."
Everyone was stunned. They looked up and saw a young man walking in with a few people.
Clarissa's eyes trembled.
