Chapter 922 This Beast

"Emmeline, did you say you'll marry me? Oh."
Emmeline was also deeply touched.
Although Jara did not answer her earlier, and the thorn in her heart remained, she did not regret the decision she made.
Memories of her time together with Jara flashed through her mind.
She told herself that she should trust her feelings at this time.
Since life was short, why waste time on misunderstandings and separation?
As they hugged each other blissfully, Clarissa and the rest of the onlookers were moved by such a scene.
Bursting with excitement, Lauren said, "That's amazing! I never thought I'd see this in my life. It's so touching!"
Smiling broadly, Clarissa said, "The two of them are now settled. Next up will be the two of you."
As she spoke, she raised her eyebrows, turned, and looked at Isaac.
Faking a cough, Isaac blushed and said, "Yep. Almost. I'll get ready soon."
The girl beside him turned red with embarrassment.
This was indeed a successful marriage proposal and confession of love.
Clarissa watched Jara and Emmeline hugging and suddenly felt sentimental at how a short separation turned out to be good.
To experience loss and separation made time together so precious.
Her fingers tingled. She turned and found herself looking at Anderson's handsome face.
Anderson looked spirited tonight. His usually stern look was now soft and tender, and his face seemed to radiate with countless lights.
Anderson squeezed her hands and whispered, "I'm so lucky, Clarissa."
Confused, Clarissa asked, "Why do you suddenly think so?"
With a wide smile and gleaming eyes, Anderson turned and looked at her.
"No, I have always think so."
"From the day I met you, I've always thought so."
Immediately, Clarissa felt her heart beat faster when she heard that.
She felt like she was being pulled into his deep eyes.
All of a sudden, there were wolf whistles and shouts amid an uproar that broke out.
Clarissa looked up and saw Emmeline and Jara were kissing.
At the side, Isaac and the others were wolf-whistling loudly. Emmeline seemed to be embarrassed, and she pushed Jara away after a quick kiss.
Then, Jara picked her up in his arms.
Everyone clapped and cheered, "Wedding! Wedding!"
Hiding her face in his embrace, Emmeline yelled, "Stop it!"
Jara smilingly agreed, "Alright, alright. We'll get married next month!"
"Really?" asked Emmeline.
The sudden marriage announcement left everyone rooted to the ground.
Jara nodded, "Of course. Please come and celebrate!"
Immediately, Lauren smiled and said, "For sure!"
The group of people reveled for a while longer then went for some snacks. Finally, the noisy party ended at two in the morning.
When Clarissa returned to her room, she could hardly keep her eyes open.
All she wanted was to hit her bed and sleep.
As soon as she lay down on her bed, Anderson pulled her up.
"Honey, go and shower."
Clarissa waved him away, "I don't want to. I want to sleep."
Without another word, she turned and clambered into bed.
Suddenly, she felt a shadow engulfing her.
Anderson held her shoulders and asked patronizingly, "Are you tired?"
Exhausted, Clarissa could only blink her eyes, looked at him, and nodded.
"How about I help you take a shower?"
His words made her heart skip a beat.
Warily, she pulled the quilt and covered herself, "No need."
"Why not?" Anderson persisted.
Anderson lifted the quilt and dragged Clarissa out, asking, "Won't you like your husband to help you with a shower?"
"No, I don't want you to," Clarissa answered.
"Why not?" Anderson still insisted.
Clarissa was exasperated and could not answer.
How come he still had the gall to ask?
She knew that what he said about taking a shower was not what he meant.
The thoughts of those shower incidents made her blush. Therefore, she ignored his persistence and covered herself with the quilt.
"Leave me alone. I'm going to sleep. Go shower if you want to."
As soon as she said that, she buried herself under the quilt.
Anderson saw that he was not getting anywhere with her refusal, so he gave up and let her go.
Still, he asked one last time, "Are you sure you don't want to shower?"
"Yes," Clarissa answered.
From beneath the quilt, Clarissa made a humming sound.
Anderson gave a small laugh, tugged at the quilt, and said, "Don't cover yourself too tightly. You may suffocate."
He added, "Don't worry, I won't drag you to shower. Be good and sleep first."
Clarissa stuck her head out and heaved a sigh of relief when she saw that he had given up.
Leaving her alone, Anderson turned and went to the bathroom.
It was way past Clarissa's bedtime. No matter how busy she might be, she usually slept before midnight. The time was two in the morning, and her biological clock was demanding that she rest.
In a few moments, after she hit the pillow, Clarissa was fast asleep.
After sleeping for a while, she felt something furry rubbing her while she was still drowsy.
She groaned softly, reacted by pushing him away, and yelled indignantly, "Don't be naughty. I want to sleep."
Anderson's hoarse voice echoed in her ears, "You sleep. It's not a problem."
Clarissa scowled and struggled to open her eyes.
Her man was atop her performing some intimate acts.
She blushed with shame and pushed him away.
"What are you doing?"
When her hands touched his chest, Anderson grabbed them and clasped them on the top of her head.
Seductively, Anderson smiled at her with his body still moist from the shower and the aroma of the shower gel pervading.
With a wicked laugh, Anderson asked, "What do you think married couples do in the middle of the night?"
Clarissa was incensed and answered, "Anderson, leave me alone. I'm sleepy!"
Anderson nodded. "You go ahead and sleep. I'll do what I do. As I said, it's not a problem."
"How could you!" Clarissa growled.
Anyway, there was no use resisting.
When this man was aroused, there was no way Clarissa could refuse.
In the end, Clarissa responded to his advances. They had been together for so long that he knew more about her intimate spots than she did.
It took two hours before she panted for breath and pushed him away.
"Anderson, you're such a beast!"
The man whispered and kissed her forehead, "Well. I'm your beast."
It was a busy night indeed.
The next day.
Naturally, Clarissa got up late.
It was already late morning when she woke up.
When she looked at the time, she was shocked and immediately leaped out of bed.
Once outside, she found that she was not the last one up. Although the revelers did not leave that late the night before, no one was up from bed yet.
