Chapter 886 Not Her Memory

Emmeline bent down and squatted on the ground because she was uncomfortable.
Two voices constantly echoed in her head.
Should she leave? Or should she stay?
She had no idea why she felt so strongly about this place. This feeling was unexplainable as if it had become lodged in her heart, but she subconsciously dismissed it.
Beads of chilly sweat the size of beans fell from her forehead.
Her lips began to turn pale, and fragments of pictures began to emerge from her mind like movies.
"Brother, look! What is this?"
"Baby sis, don't pick the flowers. The flowers are stunning. If you pick them, they will die."
"Since they are so beautiful, isn't it normal for people to pick them? You are so old-fashioned. I don't like you anymore. Hmph!"
The tiny girl snorted angrily and walked away.
Seeing this, the boy, who was a little taller than her, frowned with some hesitation. Finally, he took a step forward and drew her back.
"Alright. Don't be angry anymore. I'll help you pick it up. I'll help you pick it up, okay?"
The girl blinked her watery eyes and gave him a sneaky look.
"Really?"
"Yes."
The boy pursed his lips and clenched his fist. "I'll do it now. Wait for me."
As he spoke, he walked toward the cluster of flowers growing in thistles and thorns.
The little girl had been waiting at the side. From time to time, she would point to different flowers and ask him to pick them for her. She then danced joyfully as she saw him pick up all of the flowers she liked.
The thorns cut his body in multiple places, but he gritted his teeth and persevered.
After a long time, he finally selected all the flowers she wanted after a long time.
The little girl was overjoyed. She kissed him on the cheek with the flowers. "Brother, you're the best!" she exclaimed emphatically.
The little boy stared helplessly at her, shook his head, and muttered, "It's getting late. Mom is still waiting for us at home. Let's go back."
The little girl nodded. Then, he reached out to take her hand, and they went home together.
The sun was setting, and the golden glow streamed down on their small bodies, making their reflections stretch out quite far.
Suddenly, Emmeline came to her senses.
She opened her eyes wide in horror, unable to believe what had just occurred in her head.
How could this be?
What was going on with these scenes? She had never seen the little boy before, nor had she ever been to this place, let alone witnessed the events shown in the picture.
But why were the scenes so clear in her mind?
It was so vivid that it appeared to be something that had happened to her. However, the little girl with a delicate face did not resemble who she used to be.
So... was it really her?
Had she been here before?
And who was that brother?
Suddenly, Emmeline recalled that she seemed to have called someone a brother before she passed out.
Her face soon became pale.
She squatted on the ground and held her head, attempting to resist.
No. This was not the case. This was not her memory!
Her father abandoned her when she was a child, and she had been living in the little town with her mother.
Furthermore, when she was eight years old, her stepfather drove her out of the house. After, she found Granpa Farrington and begged him to take her in. So, she grew up in an orphanage.
She had nothing to do with the little girl in the picture! She couldn't possibly have such a life!
Therefore, everything was not true!
At this time, Emmeline was struggling while Grayclouds and the silver-masked man were silently watching everything on the surveillance screen in a room in the villa.
They saw that Emmeline had already stepped out of the gate, but she soon came to a halt and held her head in pain.
Grayclouds slowly smiled.
He took a sip from his drink and said, "Look, Jason. I'm right."
When Jason saw this, his face sank as he snorted softly.
"I thought she had a strong will. Well, I didn't expect her to self-doubt after such a short time. It's obvious that she's just so-so."
Hearing this, Grayclouds raised his eyebrows.
Then he shook his head.
"No, you're wrong."
Jason was stunned.
"If I didn't use other ways to hypnotize her, I didn't have the confidence to let her believe it. So, in fact, I had already done something to her before today," Grayclouds remarked in a deep voice.
"What did you do?" Jason asked, a little surprised.
Grayclouds smiled as he glanced at Jason and added, "Don't you remember? I asked you to give Josie the bottle of stuff I previously gave you and use it on her."
Upon hearing this, Jason was even more confused.
"But didn't you say it was simply ordinary perfume? You planned to get her to down her guard against Josie and make a good impression. So she could bring Josie out, and we will have a chance to attack her."
Grayclouds shook his head.
"Well, there are many ways to win her favor for Josie. There's no need to waste such a precious thing. It was passed to me by my master. There's only one small bottle in the world, and it's all on her now."
"But look, she still refuses to believe that she's my younger sister. Tsk! People around Jara are indeed extraordinary."
He raised the corner of his mouth and took another sip of wine as he said.
Jason widened his eyes in shock.
"You mean what you gave to Josie before is..."
Grayclouds nodded.
"This is the world's last magical bottle. If it weren't for my future, I wouldn't even use it. But if I can use Emmeline to trick Jara, destroy Lost Vanguard, and win Holland's family in Ascijan, it will all be worth it."
Hearing his words, Jason couldn't help showing a bit of excitement in his eyes.
"You're right. Jara values Emmeline greatly. He will be terrified of us as long as she is in our hands. It will then be easy for you to take him down at that point."
Upon hearing this, Grayclouds burst out laughing as well.
However, on the surveillance screen, Emmeline made an unusual action at this time.
They were both taken aback. They stopped laughing and returned their attention to the screen.
In the picture, Emmeline slowly rose from the ground after a painful struggle.
With a determined look in her eyes, she stood up. Then she stepped out, step by step, with difficulty.
Immediately, both of their expressions changed.
Grayclouds gave a cold snort.
"I didn't expect her to have such strong willpower. Does she wish to leave now that she's here? In her dreams!"
