Chapter 702 He Misses Her

Stunned for a moment, Nora hadn't come around for what he actually meant.
On the other hand, he just assumed that she was unwilling to admit it, so he smiled with his eyes squinted.
"You don't have to be on your guard against me. I don't mean you any harm, and I won't expose it to those boring reporters."
As he spoke, he took out his phone from his pocket and entered Clarissa's name on the search bar.
Soon, pieces of news came out one after another.
Clarissa was all over the news, and without an exception, it was all about when she was an actress.
For the past few years, she stopped filming because she was having a baby, so the news was all dated a few years ago. But, if anyone wanted to search for it, they could still find a lot of it.
Suddenly, Nora felt a little awkward.
She blamed herself for this. Because she had been working with Clarissa for too long, the things she did and all of her identities were far too complicated, which made her forget that she used to be an actress.
Faking a smile, Nora said awkwardly, "Er... Yes, the person you see is my friend. Thank you for keeping it a secret for us."
After she admitted it, the receptionist became relaxed and seemed to secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
"I knew it. It's true."
Then, he introduced himself with a smile. "My name is Bob. What's your name?"
Impassively, Nora replied, "Nora."
"Nora? What a nice name. Now that we've introduced ourselves, we are considered friends, right?"
In truth, Nora secretly felt that he was a little... annoying.
But she was embarrassed to say it out, let alone driving him away.
After all, this was their territory!
Therefore, she could only keep her cool and impassiveness, without talking to him.
Then, Bob realized that he had been talking a lot, while she didn't even answer a word nor respond at all.
He couldn't help but rub his nose, wondering if he had said something wrong!
At this moment, Clarissa had just finished her practice. She decided to take a fifteen-minute rest as she walked over.
"What are you guys talking about? Seems lively."
Lively?
As if Nora had heard some kind of joke, her eyes widened in shock,
Seeing Nora's reaction, Clarissa felt a little embarrassed, and her face went stiff.
Of course, it was because she saw that the two of them were not getting along, so she wanted to come over and smooth things over.
But Nora was too straightforward and didn't see things through. Suddenly, the atmosphere became even more awkward.
Initially, Bob could have humor himself out of the situation.
Now he couldn't do anything. In the end, he could only smile awkwardly and say that he was busy with work and left quickly.
After he left, Clarissa sat down and looked at Nora helplessly.
"You. Can't you tell that he wants to strike up a conversation with you on purpose? He's interested in you. What's with your cold temperament?"
Hearing that, Nora froze slightly.
Then, she refused to admit it. "No way. Don't talk nonsense."
"Tsk. Am I talking nonsense? It's obvious that it's true. You just don't want to admit it."
After taking a sip of water, Clarissa said slowly, "Nora, you are beautiful. Not only that, you have a good body and a good character. However, you are just too shy. I wonder which man would win the heart of my beautiful Nora in the future."
In an instant, Nora's face turned red.
Stuttered, she was panicking. "Clarissa, don't talk nonsense anymore. It's not possible."
When Clarissa saw how nervous she was, she couldn't help but laugh.
"Why is it not possible? A man and a woman getting married is nothing but normal. It's natural for someone to fall in love too. You're not young anymore, so you should consider it."
Pursing her lips, Nora did not say anything.
However, Clarissa didn't intend to invade her privacy. As a friend, she was only trying to remind her. After all, the choice was still hers.
Thus, after sitting and resting for a while, Clarissa went on to train again.
After practicing for an entire day, it wasn't until eight o'clock in the evening that she finally finished work.
As soon as she returned to the hotel, she video-called Anderson while having dinner.
In truth, Anderson was the one who made the call. He had probably estimated the time and knew that she had just finished her work and was eating.
Hence, if he called at the time, it would not delay her time to rest. Furthermore, they could talk for a long time, and wouldn't disrupt each other's schedule.
While video-calling, Anne and Marf were both there.
At the moment, it was morning in the country. Because it was still early, Anderson hadn't gone to the company yet, so he could video-call her with their two children.
In the video call, Anne's delicate little face was appearing on the screen as she acted coquettishly and said, "Mommy, you've been there for two days. I've been counting the days for you. You are coming back the day after tomorrow, right?"
With a smile, Clarissa and replied, "It's not the day after tomorrow. It's clearly two days after tomorrow because it will take a day on the road."
Upon hearing this, Anne pouted her mouth unhappily.
Next to her, little Marf was joining the call, babbling something.
He had learned to speak now, but it was still somewhat gibberish.
Just then, he said with a babbling voice, "M—Mommy, why don't you come back? I miss you so much."
Listening to his little baby voice, Clarissa felt her heart melted.
Then, she explained seriously. "That's because Mommy has to work, and Marf has to be good at home, okay? You have to listen to Daddy and your sister, understand?"
After hearing that, Marf nodded seriously over the phone.
Seeing that she was almost done talking with the children, Anderson ordered the servants to bring the children away. Subsequently, he picked up his phone and talked to Clarissa alone while walking outside.
"How are you doing over there? Are you alright?"
After that, Clarissa saw the video shook a little, followed by Anderson entering the car.
With a nod, she replied, "All good. What about you?"
As Anderson's lips curled up slightly, his chiseled features made him look handsome on the screen. Yet, at the moment, he emanated a trace of softness.
"Not bad, but it's better if you are at home."
Upon hearing that, Clarissa smiled.
Although she knew that he said it just to make her happy, she couldn't help but feel as sweet as honey inside.
Then, Anderson added as he fastened his seat belt. "Do you miss me these two days?"
Because they were in a public restaurant, and Nora was also there, Clarissa was a little embarrassed.
When Clarissa heard the question, her pretty little face turned red in an instant as she looked around, then replied shyly, "Yes."
On the other end of the video, when Anderson heard her reply, the corners of his mouth lifted happily.
"I miss you too."
In a low voice, as if he didn't care about the presence of the driver and David in the car, he looked at her and said seriously, "I miss you many times."
When Clarissa heard that, her little face was suddenly flushing hot.
Strictly speaking, she had been married to Anderson for four years.
She always thought that love was something that would fade slowly with the passage of time and finally, they would become family.
However, only after marrying Anderson did she realize that it wasn't true at all.
