Chapter 881 You Don't Deserve It

Emmeline wasn't sure if it was an illusion, but Yunne looked a little different today.
She thought that Yunne appeared to have a lot on her mind.
What on earth had happened?
However, since they were outside, she could do nothing about it if Yunne refused to say anything.
It was already noon when they finished shopping.
Emmeline then decided to eat nearby.
Finally, they decided on a high-end restaurant with good food. Yunne went to the bathroom first after entering.
However, Emmeline was unconcerned. She made arrangements for Rudy and others to sit in the next room; while she and Yunne sat alone in a small room. Then, she sat down and began to place her order.
The foods served here were light. She ordered some of her favorites and some of which Yunne would most likely enjoy. Finally, she ordered a pot of tea.
Meanwhile, on the other side, in the restroom.
Yunne clenched her fists, gritted her teeth, and exclaimed angrily, "Are you sure you won't help me?"
On the other side of the table, Luke spoke in a low, agitated tone.
"It's not that I don't want to help you. Josie, our relationship is a secret. Everyone will know you are my daughter if I take action. How are we going to carry out the following plans? You have to see a bigger picture!"
"I don't care! I only know that my grandma is now in danger. She will die if I don't save her!"
"Josie, as long as you drag them, they won't dare to do anything to her. After all, they still need your help. So, it's impossible for them to really harm her. Don't screw things up at this critical moment."
"I don't care. I'll ask you one last time. Will you save her or not?"
The other party was silent for a while.
Then, he let out a sigh.
"Josie, it's not that I don't want to save her; it's just that it's inconvenient for me to do so...."
"Haha..." Yunne suddenly burst into a laugh, which was so ironic.
"Inconvenient? I understand because it is so inconvenient for you. Mr. Marsh, don't expect me to help you with anything else from now on because you don't deserve it!"
After that, she directly ended the call.
On the other side.
Luca scowled as he stared at the phone that had been hung up.
At this time, Kayla walked out of the fitting room in a one-piece outfit. "How is it? Does it look good?" she asked.
Luca didn't answer.
She cast a glance at him as he sat there. His brows were furrowed, and his face was sullen. At that time, he exuded a gloomy vibe.
She couldn't help but be perplexed. "Luca, what's wrong?" she asked gently.
Hearing that, Luca finally regained his senses.
He looked up at her and said while nodding, "Yes, it's pretty."
That was certainly a perfunctory reply.
Kayla felt a little dissatisfied.
But in the end, she didn't dare to say anything. She only said, "Then I'll buy it?"
"Sure, go ahead."
As Luca spoke, he took out the card and checked out.
Afterward, they got out of the store.
At the same time, Yunne emerged from the restroom.
This was a hotpot restaurant. Emmeline was pouring the dishes that had just been served into the pot when Yunne came out.
When Emmeline saw Yunne, she smiled and said, "Sit down and try the food here."
Yunne then took a seat across from her.
Without even looking at her, Emmeline could tell Yunne was in a worse state than previously. The sadness in her eyes was unmistakable.
"Yunne, if you encounter any difficulties that I can help you with, please let me know," she said softly.
Upon hearing her words, Yunne looked up at Emmeline.
In the end, she forced a smile and shook her head. "You can't help me."
How was Emmeline going to help her?
Emmeline frowned.
She had no idea what had happened to Yunne, but seeing her in such a state was heartbreaking.
Emmeline then let out a sigh.
"Well, if you don't want to say it, then don't. Let's eat first."
As she spoke, she picked up a freshly cooked piece of meat from the pot for Yunne.
Yunne remained still as she gazed at the piece of meat in her bowl.
Her eyes and heart were both immensely complex.
Seeing that she didn't eat, Emmeline said, "What are you doing? Get started."
"Emmeline, I want to drink some wine. Can I?" Yunne abruptly stated.
Emmeline was stunned.
Only then did she see that the rims of Yunne's eyes had begun to become a little red.
She had no idea what had happened and did not know how to comfort Yunne. As a result, she could only nod her head.
"Yes. Of course, you can."
She pressed the service bell as she spoke. Soon, a waitress came in.
She asked Yunne, "What kind of wine would you like?"
"Anything is fine." Yunne answered.
Therefore, Emmeline ordered a bottle of wine with low alcohol content.
After the waitress left, she looked at Yunne with concern. "What's wrong?"
Yunne replied, "I'm fine. I'm just in a bad mood."
As she said that, she bit her lips and glanced at Emmeline.
"I'm sorry, Emmeline. I know that I'm behaving badly and unruly. I shouldn't let my mood get to you. I'm really sorry."
Emmeline frowned deeply.
She didn't know how to comfort Yunne. After all, she had no idea what had happened to her.
In the end, she could only sigh softly.
"Let's eat first."
Soon, the wine was served.
Yunne poured herself a glass of wine, as well as a small amount for Emmeline.
Emmeline couldn't drink too much because her wounds hadn't healed completely. She didn't want Yunne to drink alone, so she drank a little too.
Yunne raised her glass and said, "Emmeline, thank you for being so kind to me. Cheers."
Emmeline offered a slight smile, raised her glass, and clinked it with Yunne's.
She took a sip, but Yunne drank the entire glass of wine.
When she saw this, she frowned somewhat but quickly let it go.
Well, since Yunne wanted to drink, let her be.
In reality, she did not agree with the idea of getting drunk to ease grief since she believed that becoming drunk would not address the problem.
When the person awoke, he would not only have to deal with the discomfort of being drunk, but he would also have to deal with the situation. Wouldn't that be more troublesome?
Therefore, Emmeline would never pick this solution to escape the problem.
However, she also knew that not everyone in the world would think the same way.
If alcohol could really make Yunne feel temporarily relaxed and happy, Emmeline would respect it.
If it didn't work, she could regard it as an outlet for her frustration.
Hence, Emmeline didn't give it much thought.
She stopped drinking after two glasses, while Yunne proceeded to drink one glass after another.
