Chapter 1043 Feeling Reluctant

Initially, he had thought that they would stay a little longer.
Clarissa smiled and said, "They're old after all. They miss home and can't stay outside for too long."
"True."
Then, Anderson walked over and handed her the glass of milk in his hand.
Taking the cup, Clarissa took a sip before asking, "What time is it?"
"Two o'clock. It's still early."
Clarissa nodded. After a pause, she asked, "I was just thinking, should we go back too?"
In response, Anderson asked, "When do you want to go back?"
"How about tomorrow? I have checked the weather forecast. The day after tomorrow is sunny. After coming out for such a long time, it's time to go back. Anne has to go to school."
"Okay, when we have dinner this evening, let's tell mom about it."
"Okay."
After the two of them made up their minds, Clarissa brought up the matter at dinnertime.
Sierra's expression changed immediately when she heard that they were about to leave.
"You are leaving? Do you feel uncomfortable during your stay here? Are you not used to it? Or is there another reason?"
Clarissa smiled and reassured her. "No, it's good here. We live comfortably, and eat well here. But we have been away for a long time and it's time to go back. There are a lot of things to do in the company, and Anne has to go to school. The main purpose of my visit this time is to see where you live and see if you are living well. I am relieved to see that you have a good life here."
It was obvious that Sierra's expression was a little sad.
"But I don't want you to go back."
Since she lost her memory, she had always been simple and straightforward. She would say whatever she was thinking.
Hearing her words, Clarissa felt the warmth in her heart, and she couldn't help but smiled.
"I know you don't want me to leave, and I am reluctant to leave too. So if you have time in the future, do come back to Ascijian and visit me again. I also want to introduce Grandma and Grandpa to you. They are all very nice people. By the way, Uncle Robert, aren't you good friends with Vivian? Her biological brother is currently the head of the Levine Family. He is also very nice. When you come visit, I will introduce you to him."
When Sierra heard that she mentioned Vivian, a light flashed across her eyes, but in the end, she shook her head.
"Forget it, I don't want to see them. I can't remember much of the past. We will only look at each other and have nothing to say when we meet. It's better not to see each other."
Obviously, Clarissa knew that she had not completely accepted her past from the bottom of her heart, so she did not force her and nodded.
After seeing that she couldn't change their minds, Sierra thought it was inappropriate to say anything further.
After dinner, she quietly went to pack up some things that she wanted them to take away.
Clarissa noticed that she was unhappy. When everyone went out for a walk after dinner, she found Sierra in the room, looking lonely.
In the room, Sierra was standing with her back to the door, and she seemed to be stacking something.
Clarissa called out, "Mom."
When she turned around and saw that it was Clarissa, she hurriedly wiped away the tears at the corners of her eyes and smiled. "You're here."
Clarissa didn't expect that she was hiding and crying alone in the room. She frowned and walked in.
"Mom, what's going on?"
With a smile, Sierra said, "Nothing. When I opened the window just now, the wind blew in and the sand went into my eyes."
As she spoke, she rubbed her eyes, which were already red with tears.
But Clarissa could see it clearly. It was obviously not the sand that went into her eyes.
It was obvious that she shed tears because she was unwilling to part with her.
She sighed silently, taking Sierra's hand, and sat down on the couch next to her.
"Mom, are you reluctant to part with us?"
Sierra looked at her and nodded.
She looked a little sad, "Actually, I know that you can't stay here with me all the time. But these years, I have been living alone here. It's really lonely. Robert has his own things to deal with. Sometimes, when he goes to the lab, he doesn't come out for a whole day. I can't force him to stay with me all the time. I can only guard this huge castle alone without any friends or relatives. I didn't feel bored before, but since you came here, I have felt the lively and happy atmosphere of having a family. When I think about the days in the past, I suddenly feel a little scared. It feels like I am living on an isolated island."
Upon hearing her words, Clarissa looked at her with a slight frown.
She had never thought that Sierra would think that way.
At the same time, Sierra seemed to realize that her thoughts were too sorrowful.
She forced a smile and comforted herself. "It doesn't matter. Maybe I just need some time to get used to it and things will get better soon."
However, what she didn't know was that the more she behaved like this, the more upset Clarissa became.
Raising her hand, she pulled Sierra into her embrace.
After a long time, she let go of her and whispered, "Mom, why don't you come back with me and live with me?"
Stunned, SIerra looked at her blankly.
"Is that alright?"
"Of course," Clarissa said with a smile, "I can't ask for more. Actually, it's not just you who don't want to leave us, we don't want to leave you either. We've just reunited after so many twists and turns, and I can't bear to be separated with you again. Why don't you move to my place? If Mr. Lane wants to, you can ask him to move there too. If he doesn't want to, he can visit you at any time. That way, you won't be lonely and he can do his research. What do you think?"
Sierra frowned, and she was in a bit of a dilemma.
"Erm... I'm afraid he won't agree."
"There is nothing that he won't agree with. If you don't want to tell him, I'll talk to him later."
As she spoke, Clarissa was about to get up.
But Sierra stopped her and said, "Hey, don't..."
With a paused, she smiled.
"Forget it, I will tell him, but..."
She bit her lip and seemed to hesitate.
Seeing her reaction, Clarissa could tell that she was still worried, so she asked, "What are you worried about?"
"I..." Sierra sighed. "I'm worried that my past will affect your life. After all, you know that I'm different from ordinary people."
When the words came out, Clarissa's face suddenly became serious.
She held Sierra's hand and said solemnly, "Mom, don't think this way. You are not different from others, and you're not an abnormal person either. Amnesia is very common in this world, and it affects many people too, yet it doesn't seem to bother them. So don't think too much about it."
Clarissa's words gave Sierra some courage.
She forced a smile and said, "Will you feel burdened by me if I go there?"
"No." After pausing for a moment, Charissa suddenly thought she would tease her. "If you affect our lives, then it's a good impact. Which means, when your baby grandchild comes out, someone will help take care of it."
