Chapter 38 Used To Be Successful
Fact proved that his wife was indeed very smart, and she found the key point quickly.
Clarissa picked up the cup, took a sip of tea and said lightly, "You can ask someone to figure this out for you first, and I'll find a way to help you solve the other problems."
Anthony nodded.
After hearing Clarissa's words, he realized the strangeness of the matter. He called his agent immediately and asked him to investigate this for him.
After Anthony hung up the phone, Clarissa continued to say, "Next, I'll tell you about my plan. You can see if you have any advice."
Anthony nodded, "Okay, go ahead."
Clarissa gave a rough explanation of her plan to them. Both of them agreed after listening to it.
Anthony felt so happy as if he had found a life-saving straw.
He had got into trouble for half a month, but he had not found a feasible solution.
Although this was just Clarissa's draft plan, he thought it was almost perfect and impeccable when he listened to it.
The three of them came out of the restaurant and parted at the door.
Clarissa did not leave with Anderson, because he had to go back to the company to work.
Moreover, she had driven here herself, so there was no need for him to send her home. After saying goodbye, she drove away.
Clarissa did not directly return to Estdal Manor.
She drove back to her small apartment.
Although she had agreed to live with Anderson, she had a lot of daily necessities left here.
Anderson was considerate and prepared everything for her, and she felt touched indeed. But she felt more comfortable to use her own daily necessities, so she wanted to take them with her.
After packing up her things, she was about to go out with her suitcase when she suddenly caught a glimpse of a box in the corner of the sofa.
The box was black in color and was of high quality. It was covered by black silk.
She paused, turned around and opened the box.
It was a men's shirt of best quality in the box.
That was the birthday gift she bought for Elliot.
She had planned to give it to him on his birthday, but unfortunately, before that day came, she found that he cheated on her.
Thinking of this, Clarissa laughed at herself.
In just a few days, she was no more sad and had no mood swings when she thought of Elliot.
It seemed that people were all changeable.
Clarissa put it back. After thinking for a while, she put it in the suitcase and took it away.
She spent a lot of money to buy it and it was worth more than one hundred thousand dollars!
It was a pity to throw such a high-end shirt here. It was better to sell it and get some money back.
Clarissa walked out with her box happily.
After going downstairs, she put her luggage in the car and drove to Estdal Manor.
After returning to Estdal Manor, she directly went to her bedroom and began to write the public relations plan for Anthony.
What she told Anthony at noon was just her draft plan. The plan was not very detailed because she didn't know much about the specific situation.
At this moment, she wanted to make the plan more detailed.
After the plan was completed, Clarissa sent the document to Anthony.
At noon, they had added each other on WeChat. After Clarissa sent the documents to Anthony, he didn't reply immediately. She thought that he might be busy with work, so she didn't wait for him to reply. She put down her phone and went downstairs.
It was already six o'clock in the afternoon.
It was time for Anderson to come back.
The delicious aroma of food came from the kitchen. Clarissa stretched herself and took a walk in the garden before returning to the living room.
There was the sound of a car coming from outside.
Clarissa knew that Anderson had come back. When she went out to take a look, sure enough, she saw Anderson getting off the car.
He was wearing a white shirt and his coat was in the crook of his arm. He was tall and elegant.
Upon hearing the sound, Pettie also came out of the kitchen.
Upon seeing Anderson, she immediately smiled and said, "Mr. Jordan, you're back!"
Anderson nodded slightly. He looked at Clarissa and the expression in his eyes was warm.
He reached out his arm and held her waist. Then he took her into the house.
"You wait for me at the door every day, making me feel that you've fallen in love with me."
His voice was low and deep, which could only be heard by the two of them.
However, Clarissa blushed and reached out to push him away.
"Don't flatter yourself. I just came down for a walk and happened to see you coming back."
"Yesterday you came out to see the sunset, and today you went out for a walk. Mrs. Jordan, it seems that we are really fated! What a coincidence!"
Clarissa was speechless.
Knowing that she couldn't refute him, she simply stopped arguing with him and walked to the dinning room.
Anderson smiled and didn't tease her anymore.
After dinner, he went into the study. It seemed that he still had to work.
Clarissa didn't want to disturb him.
She had her own affairs to deal with.
Two of the three companies that the Duncan family gave her had been sold, and the remaining entertainment company was called Starlight Culture.
The reason why she decided to keep this company was that she herself was a public relations officer.
She had always wanted to set up her own company, but it was too complicated to do that. She happened to get such a good opportunity, so she accepted it with pleasure.
Clarissa had not gone to the company to have a look. She only had a general understanding of this company from the news.
When she signed the transfer document, Conner asked the secretary to give her all the information about the company.
Clarissa looked at the document carefully and then found that the company's situation was worse than she had imagined.
But it was not hard to understand. No one would transfer the company if it could run well.
Starlight culture had been established for nearly 40 years. In the early years, it was a famous large entertainment company.
It even used to be the most successful company in the entertainment circle. Not only did it have a large number of superstars, but it also created dozens of extraordinary and influential film and television works.
By rights, such a long-established company should not have become so failed.
However, in fact, the best public relations officer in the company was Erin ten years ago. She became an agent and took away a large number of A-list superstars, and since then Starlight gradually began to decline.
Erin took away three groups of actors from Starlight. They were all very important actors in Starlight. Losing them dealt the company a severe blow.
The reason why these actors were willing to leave with Erin was because the contracts they signed with Starlight was very harsh and their payment was very low.
Therefore, most of them were willing to pay a large sum of money for the termination of the contract. Even if it was a large sum of money, they would have a brighter future.
Although the company's income multiplied at that time, it declined day by day because there was no famous actors in the company.
With the changes in the industry and the competition between other companies, Starlight became smaller and smaller.
Starlight used to be a entertainment kingdom which present the style of an age, but there were less than ten actors left in the company, and all of them were infamous.
Moreover, no films and no advertisement wanted to cooperate with them.
For more than a year, none of the actors in the company could get a chance to act in a film.
