Chapter 31 He Didn't Do Anything Wrong

Clarissa seemed to have heard a joke.
She looked at Elliot sarcastically, "Do you mean that it's all their fault and you didn't do anything wrong?"
Elliot was slightly stunned.
He took a deep breath and explained, "Last night, I didn't know that you were drugged. At that time, I did realize that there was something was wrong with you, but I didn't know you were drugged. Besides, I wanted to help you at that time, but Lara's belly suddenly ached and I couldn't leave her alone."
Clarissa raised her eyebrows, "Then what happened? Did she miscarry?"
Elliot went blank for a moment, but he answered, "No."
"Since she didn't have a miscarriage, how could her belly ache for no reason? Besides, she looked so healthy just now, and she didn't show any sign of miscarriage!"
Elliot's face turned cold.
"What do you mean?"
Clarissa sneered and said, "Nothing. I just feel surprised that you could even be fooled by such a poor acting skill. Elliot, it seems that I really thought too highly of you before!"
"Clarissa!"
What Elliot couldn't stand the most was Clarissa looking down on him.
That would make him think a lot...
His face darkened completely. He gritted his teeth and said, "Can you stop speaking so maliciously? Lara is your younger sister. If you don't like her, you can refuse to meet her in the future. Why do you have to curse her so viciously? You weren't like this before!"
Clarissa's face also turned cold.
She sneered and looked at Elliot with indifferent eyes.
"They tried so hard to hurt me. I just said that she didn't miscarry but you thought I am vicious. Why don't you think about what she has done to me?"
Elliot was slightly stunned. He was not reasonable enough to refute Clarissa.
Finally, he said coldly, "You're fine now, aren't you? Moreover, this matter may not have something to do with Lara!"
Clarissa smiled sarcastically and shook her head. She really didn't want to talk to him anymore.
She turned around and walked to the Rolls-Royce.
Suddenly, Elliot said behind her, "Wait!"
Clarissa stopped with an apathetic face.
Elliot walked to her and stood one step away from her.
The drizzling rain was falling, separating them from each other like an invisible barrier.
She said coldly, "Say what you want! I don't have so much time to waste on you!"
Elliot clenched his fists tightly. Then he asked the question that he wanted to ask her the most in his heart.
"Are you really... with him now?"
Clarissa naturally knew who Elliot was referring to.
She smiled faintly. Without turning around, she slightly tilted her head, so that he could see the smile on her face.
"Yes, so what?"
"When did you be with him?"
"It's none of your business!"
Elliot was speechless.
He paused for a moment and then said in a deep voice, "Anderson's background isn't as simple as you think. His background is complicated and you're not a good match. You'll regret it sooner or later if you're with him!"
Clarissa smiled.
Her smile was sad and ironic beyond words.
"In the past, some people said that we were a perfect match and we were equal in social status. But what happened to us?"
Elliot couldn't say a word.
"Elliot, don't always think that you are smart. You always think that you are the one who understands everything. But one day, you will find that you know nothing and understand nothing!"
After she said that, she no longer had the mood to argue with him. She walked away in her high heels.
Anderson's assistant had walked to her with an umbrella.
He opened the black umbrella for her respectfully.
Then he bent down and opened the car door for her. Clarissa got in the car in an arrogant and noble manner.
Elliot stood still and watched the car door close in a daze.
He suddenly realized that he didn't seem to understand Clarissa at all.
They had been together for six years, but his memories for her seemed to remain in the summer six years ago.
Six years ago, she was wearing a blue school uniform and her hair was tied back in a high ponytail. She was holding a pile of exercise books in her hands and smiling sweetly at him.
At that moment, his heart melted and it was a very wonderful feeling.
After that, his memories of her became vague.
Sierra had an accident, and she had a step-mother, and then she went abroad.
It seemed that she never smiled at him again. Her gentle and coquettish voice gradually became cold and calm.
She was like a block of ice that had not melted for a thousand years. He had no idea what she was thinking about and didn't how to warm her heart.
When he stood in front of her, the distance between them was very close, but he knew that they were far away from each other in hearts.
It was so far away that he could never touch her heart, and he even thought that... he shouldn't have fallen in love with her six years ago.
That was why he had always felt that breaking up with Clarissa was the best choice.
He loved Lara and Lara loved him. Clarissa was just his short and beautiful dream when he was young.
He had woken up from this dream a long time ago, and he didn't tell Clarissa the truth because he didn't want her to be sad.
He felt that it was so good to be strangers with Clarissa.
But why did he feel a little sad in his heart?
When he saw her get into another man's car, and when he saw those people treat her so respectfully as if they were treating the most distinguished princess in the world.
Why did he feel a little flustered?
It felt that someone had suddenly taken something away from him, something that he had been in possession of for a long time.
A place in his heart became empty. The cold air poured into his heart, making him feel chills down his spines.
Elliot walked back in a daze, and his mobile phone rang at this moment.
He picked it up numbly and heard Conner's angry voice.
"What's going on? How could Lara's family be so shameless? How could they do such a disgraceful thing?"
Elliot came to sense and composed his emotions, "Dad, it's a long story. I'll explain it to you when I get back."
......
The black Rolls-Royce galloped at full speed along the road in the early morning.
Inside the car, Clarissa pursed her lips and looked at Anderson with a smile.
Being looked at by her, Anderson felt a little uneasy and coughed lightly.
Then, he suddenly reached out his hand and pushed her face.
Clarissa laughed in a muffled way.
"Mr. Jordan, thank you for helping me today! I will repay you in the future if I have a chance."
Anderson frowned slightly as he tilted his head to look at her, "What did you call me?"
Clarissa's smile froze.
Anderson said with cold eyes, "Mrs. Jordan, do you need me to teach you how to call your husband?"
Clarissa was speechless.
She shook her head in a hurry, "No."
"Then call me now."
Clarissa was a little embarrassed, "Well, now? It's... a little awkward, isn't it?"
In the driver's seat, David said immediately, "Mrs. Jordan, I'm deaf and I can't hear you."
Clarissa was speechless.
Anderson glanced at David coldly, and then David immediately shut up and lifted up the baffle.
Clarissa suddenly became more speechless.
She thought, "You just asked me call you. Why do you have to do this?"
"As if we're doing something shy in the back seat!"
Thinking of this, her face suddenly blushed.
She said in her heart, "Bah! Clarissa, what are you thinking about?"
