Chapter 888 Never Forgive Him
Emmeline's expression shifted, but she suppressed it and said coldly, "I don't know what you are talking about!"
However, Grayclouds was not upset. Instead, he shook his head in disappointment and remarked, "Do you really not remember anything at all? Or are you just refusing to face it?"
He looked at her with a bright look in his eyes.
Emmeline was irritated as a result of the memories that flashed across her head. In truth, her emotions were becoming more complicated.
For a moment, she wasn't sure if he was telling the truth or not.
The reason for this was that she couldn't recall anything from the years preceding her mother's visit to the Murrays.
She wasn't sure if it was because she was too young to recall or for another reason, but her memories before the age of six or seven were absolutely blank in her mind.
However, she grasped that as she grew older, she would forget things from her childhood.
So she didn't think much about it before.
But suddenly, the images in her mind, the familiar looks of the little girl, and the intimate and familiar tones all drew her back in time.
Did... did she really know the man in front of her?
Was he really the little boy in her memory?
What was their relationship? Why was she here when she was a child?
There was a trace of confusion in Emmeline's eyes.
Looking at her, Grayclouds murmured in a low voice, "I understand if you don't want to face it, Emmeline. After all, I lost you, so you were picked up by others and given your current name. It's not your fault."
Emmeline was shocked.
She then looked at him in disbelief.
"What did you say? Did you lose me?"
"Yes, that's right."
Grayclouds nodded and responded in a deep voice, "Emmeline, we are biological siblings. When we were young, this was our home. At that time, our parents were still alive. However, something happened all of a sudden, and I lost you. I've been searching for you for years, but I've never heard from you. Can you imagine how worried I was?"
As he spoke, his eyes revealed a hint of emotion.
Emmeline frowned. In fact, everything he said was so touching, and his face seemed familiar to her.
But she couldn't feel any sympathy or affection for him.
Then, she replied coldly, "So? Is this the reason you caught me this time?"
Grayclouds was stunned.
He didn't expect Emmeline to be so indifferent.
His eyes dimmed, and he added in a deep voice, "Emmeline, both of our parents are no longer alive, and you are now the only family member I have in the world. I can't stand watching you be stranded outside."
"Really? So you kidnapped me in this way?"
Emmeline sneered.
"Are you willing to come back with me if I don't do so?" Grayclouds explained.
Hearing that, Emmeline was rendered speechless.
Then, Grayclouds went on to say, "Haven't you always wanted to know who I am? Well, I tell you now. I am the boss of Night Foxes. You should be aware of this!"
Emmeline's heart skipped a beat real quick.
As she glanced at him, her pupils widened. At this time, she couldn't believe her eyes.
Of course, she was familiar with the Icarus Association's Night Foxes!
Didn't they start the conflict between Salvation Club and Lost Vanguard back then?
Although she and Jara had swayed the association with the presence of Jade of Heaven, it was highly probable that someone else had been at work behind the scenes.
However, during the previous years' fight, it was certain that the Icarus Association had done something.
Her eyes immediately cooled as she pondered on this.
She sneered and questioned, "So you know Skylar and the others too, right?"
Grayclouds looked at her quietly, nodding. "Yes."
"Ha!" She began to scowl bitterly all of a sudden. Her chuckle was sarcastic.
"So you think tying me up and forcing me to recall my childhood memories will move me enough to accept you with grateful tears? Are you that naive?"
"Didn't you plot the kidnapping beforehand?" She paused for a moment before continuing.
She was referring to when she was involved in a car accident, and then someone rescued her from the sea. On the way back, Jara saved her.
She thought that he would deny it.
Unexpectedly, Grayclouds thought for a moment before nodding his head.
"Yes, it's me. I apologize for using this method every time, but based on our previous conflict, I believe it is difficult for you to calm down and talk to me."
Emmeline had to admit that he was right.
He had, after all, single-handedly contributed to today's scenario by interfering in the affairs of Salvation Club and Lost Vanguard in the past, causing her countless good friends to perish. Of course, she would never forgive him.
Not to mention that the main culprit of this calamity, Skylar and the others, were still standing alongside them.
How could she accept him?
As she thought about this, a cold look gleamed in her eyes.
Without any hesitation, she said, "If your intention of chatting is to reconcile our relationship, give it up now. I'm not sure if we're really siblings, but even if we are, I'll never reunite with you!"
Grayclouds's gaze was slightly frigid as a result of her words.
He asked in hushed tones, "Do you really hate us so much?"
"What do you think?" Emmeline scoffed.
Grayclouds stiffened somewhat as a result of her apathetic and disdainful glances, showing a pained expression.
"Well, I agree that we were sorry for what happened before, but I didn't know you were my sister at the time."
After a pause, he let out a sigh.
"I know it's too late to say anything at this point. You are so stubborn. You won't forgive me, and that's fine. You can stay here for this period of time while I give you some time to consider it. We will wait till you calm down."
After that, he waved his hand, indicating that she was free to leave.
Emmeline's gaze was calm as she glanced at him.
Of course, she had never expected him to let her go so easily.
After all, the man in the silver mask was still waiting outside. Although she did not see the bodyguards outside just now, who knew whether they were planning an ambush in the dark?
As a result, even if they weren't locking her up anymore, she could only walk around in this villa at the moment.
Thinking of this, Emmeline suddenly questioned, "Where is Yunne? What did you do to her?"
Grayclouds felt slightly relieved when she inquired about Yunne's whereabouts.
