Chapter 892 Sudden Changes In Circumstances
Emmeline cast a gloomy glance at Grayclouds.
She had no idea whether what he stated was true or not.
After all, her mother had passed away many years ago, and her memory before the age of eight was blank.
She couldn't recall anything else besides the memories she recalled when she visited here recently.
After all, there was no evidence but only his claim.
It was difficult for Emmeline to believe him.
At the thought of this, a hint of indifference flashed in her eyes.
"Well, even if what you said is true, do you think you can really keep me here by kidnapping me in this way?" she replied.
Grayclouds smiled as he stared at her. "I just want us to know each other better. Of course, if you decide to leave later, I will not stop you."
Emmeline sneered, "How can I trust you?"
Grayclouds arched his brow. "What do you want me to do for you to trust me?"
Emmeline thought for a moment before saying directly, "Let Yunne go. It's our business and has nothing to do with her. I'll believe you if you let her go."
Grayclouds gave her a stern stare.
At that point, Emmeline thought that he should have recognized her true intent.
It didn't matter, though. Wasn't it him who was pleading with her to acknowledge him now?
After all, the choice was in his hands. What could he do even if he knew? In the worst-case scenario, he would not let them leave. Well, she wouldn't lose anything if the situation remained the same.
But who would've thought that Grayclouds would actually nod his head and agree?
He smiled faintly and said, "Okay, I promise you."
Emmeline was stunned for a moment.
Even she didn't appear to expect things to go so nicely.
She didn't believe he didn't understand what it meant to let Yunne go. Nonetheless, he dared to agree...
Suddenly, a bad feeling crept up in her heart.
Then, Grayclouds stated, "You have to agree to one of my terms if I agree to one of yours. If I were to let her go, you have to go with me. How about that?"
Emmeline's eyes darkened.
"Where do you want to take me?"
"You don't need to know that right now."
He smiled sweetly as he said this, but Emmeline felt as though a snake was creeping across her back, making her feel cold.
He spoke softly, "Sister, don't worry. I will take you to a place you like. There, you will forget about your problems and never have to worry about them again."
Emmeline looked at his eyes, and unconsciously, she felt a little dizzy.
Her eyelids became heavier as time passed, and the horrible feeling returned. She merely noticed that the scene in front of her was becoming increasingly blurry.
Just as she was about to pass out, a loud bang came from outside the door.
"Bang— !"
Emmeline suddenly woke up.
On the other side, Grayclouds's expression shifted and dashed out. After taking a peek at the door, he grabbed Emmeline and rushed upstairs.
"Follow me!"
As he said that, Emmeline's expression changed, and her heart trembled slightly. She became aware of what was going on all the time in an instant.
It was hypnotism!
D*mn it! This man actually knew hypnosis! No wonder she felt weird the entire time. All of this was made up by him to deceive her!
She was furious and unconcerned about her current physical state. She twisted her hand in an attempt to catch him.
Grayclouds's expression instantly froze. He soon regained his senses and let go of her.
In the meantime, Emmeline took advantage of the situation by elbowing him over and kicking him in the chest.
However, Grayclouds blocked it with his arms, but Emmeline leaped out a few meters away in just a few seconds.
His expression changed drastically, and he realized that she had restored her skills. He was worried that catching her now would be difficult, especially when the ones outside had already broken in.
So, without hesitation, he reached out to grab Yunne next to him.
"Ah— !"
Yunne cried out in awe when he grabbed her and buckled her neck.
Immediately, Emmeline's face changed, and she stopped in her tracks as she tried to escape.
"Yunne!"
Staring at her coldly, Grayclouds then said, "Sister, be obedient and come over!"
Emmeline's face was stiff, her teeth clenched.
With her throat clasped by Grayclouds, Yunne shook her head fiercely, and tears streamed down her cheeks.
"Emmeline, leave! Don't worry about me. Leave now!"
How could Emmeline do so?
The picture of Keira dying for her in a pool of blood flashed across her head once more.
Something seemed to rip her heart open savagely. "Let go of her!" she gritted her teeth and yelled to Grayclouds.
Grayclouds sneered, and his gaze was extremely sinister.
"You have three seconds to come over, or I'll strangle her."
As he spoke, he put more strength in his hands.
Yunne's eyes rolled white, and she appeared to be struggling to breathe.
Her delicate neck in his palm was like a crisp chip on the verge of breaking with a slight force.
Instantly, Emmeline's heart tightened, and she gritted her teeth. "Don't hurt her. I'll go over."
Yunne shook her head frantically and looked at Emmeline with sadness in her eyes.
Then, Emmeline walked toward him step by step with a cold face.
The sound of fighting outside was becoming increasingly loud at this point. Jara, she assumed, had most likely already discovered this place and came to save her.
A glimmer of hope rose from the bottom of her heart as she slowly approached Grayclouds.
Just when she was only half a step away, she bent down, rolled behind him, and kicked him in the knee with a sidekick.
Grayclouds was surprised that she was still daring to play tricks at this time. Because of the pain, he bowed down and naturally relaxed the strength of his hands.
Immediately, Emmeline grabbed Yunne and turned to run out.
"Let's go!"
She yelled harshly. Yunne was taken aback, but she followed Emmeline and ran out.
The gate was right in front of them, and their hope was growing.
The girl Emmeline was holding suddenly had a cold look in her eyes at this point. Yunne then struck Emmeline's neck hard with her palm.
Emmeline felt an ache in the nape, and her vision was blurry.
She gazed back at Yunne in bewilderment, and then she collapsed.
Yunne reached out and caught her.
Behind her, Grayclouds had come.
He heaved a sigh of relief as he looked at Emmeline in Yunne's arms. He approached Yunne and then said, "Well, you know what's best for you. Don't worry. When it's done, I will return your grandma to you. Now, go with me first!"
After that, he picked Emmeline up and ran upstairs.
On the top floor, a small helicopter was parked.
Grayclouds put Emmeline onto the helicopter, and when Yunne came, the helicopter took off immediately.
At this moment, Jara, who was still trapped outside, looked at the helicopter that had taken off and kicked the person in front of him with great hatred. Then, he angrily ordered, "Quan, lead your men to track their route. The rest of you, follow me and chase!"
