Chapter 16 Nice For You To Break Up

Clarissa left Twilight.
When she left, a few people went to see her off, but most of them were not sincere.
Although she had resigned, she did not leave the industry. They might see each other again in the future.
Treating her like a friend was better than treating her like an enemy!
Clarissa didn't expose them. After she arrived at the parking lot, she put her things in the car and then drove to the Duncan Group.
Conner was a man of his word. He had prepared the checks and documents of transferring companies into her name.
When Clarissa arrived at the Duncan Group, Conner was in a meeting. It was his secretary Walter who received her.
According to the request she made last night, Conner gave her one constituent company and the money which was worth the other two constituent companies.
Clarissa quickly signed the document and then gave Walter the other half of the marriage contract.
Her mother forced the Duncan family to sign the marriage contract when she was still alive.
At that time, she and Elliot had just been together, and both of them were young. It was not appropriate for them to get engaged, so they signed a contract.
Half a month after she signed the contract, her mother passed away by accident.
When Clarissa thought about it afterwards, she didn't know if her mother had anticipated the car accident so she made such an arrangement before she died.
Unfortunately, she let her mother down. She not only lost her home, but also lost her fiance.
Thinking of this, Clarissa laughed at herself.
After all procedures were done, the meeting of Conner was not over yet.
The secretary asked if she wanted to sit for a while and waited for Conner to come out, but she declined.
She had gotten what she wanted, and there was no need for her to meet the people of the Duncan family again.
It was still early after she left the Duncan Group.
Clarissa went to her shop, and the clerk Carly who asked for leave had come back to work. Seeing her, Carly stood up happily behind the counter.
"Clarissa, the business is so good today. It's only been half a day and we've already sold dozens of orders."
Clarissa smiled and encouraged her, "Well done. Keep going!"
Carly was an eighteen year-old girl. After being encouraged by Clarissa, her face was flushed with excitement, and she was very happy.
Clarissa took out a paper from her bag and posted it on the display window.
Carly came over and had a look curiously. When she saw the words "Shop Transfer", she was shocked.
"Clarissa, are you going to transfer the shop? Don't you want to run it?"
Clarissa nodded.
"Yes, I will transfer this shop, but you can continue to work here. I will tell the new boss."
Carly's face changed slightly.
In fact, Clarissa had no choice but to make this decision.
She wanted to set up her own entertainment company, and she would have to invest all her time in it. At that time, she might not have enough energy to take care of this shop.
Moreover, no matter how much money the shop could make, there was a limit. Thus, after thinking about it, she decided to transfer the shop.
After posting the paper, Clarissa chatted with Carly for a while and then left.
She had nothing to do in the afternoon, so she went shopping with Lauren Jones.
Lauren was said to be the most beautiful woman in the entertainment circle. She was praised as "A rare beauty nowadays" by the magazine.
At the same time, she was the daughter of the chairman of the Alphatube Group. She and Clarissa were high school classmates and best friends.
As soon as Lauren saw Clarissa, she tut-tutted.
"Clarissa, when I heard that you were abandoned by Elliot, I came to comfort you in a hurry. But you don't seem to be sad!"
Clarissa was a little surprised.
"How did you know that?"
"Look. They have announced it. Of course I knew it!"
Lauren handed Clarissa an invitation for a birthday party. Clarissa had a look and found that it was sent by Lara and Elliot.
She got speechless.
Lauren smiled and said, "Tell me! When did you discover their disgusting relationship?"
"A few days ago!" Clarissa was a little depressed when she saw Lauren's happy face, "Why are you so happy since I've been abandoned?"
"Of course I'm happy! Elliot is just a b*stard. It's nice for you to break up with him, in case you will do much more things for him stupidly."
Clarissa was speechless.
She knew that Lauren didn't like Elliot all the time.
When she had just been with Elliot, Lauren persuaded her several times. But at that time she was in love with Elliot, so how could she listen to Lauren?
She didn't expect that what Lauren said at that time was right.
Clarissa smiled awkwardly and didn't say anything.
They went shopping in the nearby shopping mall.
At this time, a black Rolls-Royce passed by the road. David saw Clarissa walking into the mall and said in surprise, "Hey? Isn't that Miss Chapman?"
Anderson raised his head from the documents and looked in the direction that David was pointing at. He paused for a moment.
"Stop the car!"
......
Clarissa and Lauren walked around and finally entered a women's clothing store.
It was a luxury brand store which was decorated in a high-end style. Although the color inside was simple, it looked clean and luxurious.
Lauren had a long dress made to order here. She specially came here to get it.
The clerk knew Lauren. After asking Lauren, she took Lauren to the VIP room on the second floor to try on the dress. If the dress was not well-fitting, she could alter it on the spot.
Lauren said to Clarissa before she left, "Clarissa, sit here for a while. I'll come down after I try it on."
Clarissa nodded.
After Lauren went up, she felt bored to wait, so she simply wandered around in the shop.
It was Monday, so there were not many guests in the shop. The shop assistants were chatting and playing with their mobile phones. No one received her.
Clarissa did not mind it. After walking around, she saw a dark blue dress hanging in the show window. It was very beautiful, and it looked like the design of a French designer she had seen in the magazine.
She had always liked the designer and she was his loyal fan, so she reached out her hand to touch the dress.
"Hey! You can look at it, but don't touch it. You can't afford to pay it if you smudge it."
Suddenly, a woman's voice came from behind her.
Clarissa was stunned. She turned around and saw a young shop assistant standing there. Her eyes were filled with displeasure and disdain as she looked at Clarissa.
Clarissa frowned slightly.
"You display this dress because you want customers to try it on, don't you? Why can't I touch it?"
The shop assistant sneered, "Others can touch it, but you can't."
"Why?"
The shop assistant rolled her eyes as if she was annoyed.
"Do you know how much this dress costs? How much money can you make per month as an assistant? Do you know that you can't afford to buy it with one year's salary?"
As she said this, she went forward with annoyance and took away the dress from Clarissa's hand, and then she pushed the clothes shelf aside.
She muttered discontentedly, "People like you look at them but never buy them. If you can't afford them, why do you go shopping here? It's so annoying!"
Clarissa was speechless.
She was so angry but she laughed.
It was not the first time she went shopping with Lauren, but this was the first time that she was regarded as Lauren's assistant.
