Chapter 537 Shameless

Sophia said coldly, "I don't have time to argue with you. Get out of my way!"
After that, she wanted to leave, but before she could take a step, she was stopped by Bell.
Bell smiled maliciously. "Why are you in such a hurry to leave? Are you afraid that I'll tell everyone about what you've done in the past?"
Sophia was furious. She growled, "Bell. What the hell are you trying to do?"
"I don't want to do anything. I just don't like how hypocritical you are, so I just want to give everyone a warning."
After that, she suddenly turned to the crowd and said loudly, "Do you know? This woman, Mrs. Blaine now, was a celebrity in Flaucford two years ago!"
Back then, Mr. Genton from the Genton Group died in this vixen's bed. She still tried to seduce my husband, but to no avail. If you don't believe me, you can go and search for the news from two years ago. You can definitely find it!"
After listening to what Bell said, some of them who had a sharp memory and read that piece of news before could immediately recognize Sophia.
"Ah, yes! I remember that at that time, it was said that a high school graduate was kept as a mistress. As a result, her benefactor died on her bed due to a heart attack. It was her!"
"Really?"
"Of course it's true! It was sensational news at that time."
"Oh, my god! I didn't expect that at all. She looks so innocent!"
"Don't judge the book by its cover. She is just pretending."
"No wonder she is able to seduce Mr. Blaine! She's too shameless!"
Sophia was at a loss of words.
Sophia watched as those people pointed fingers at her. Some mocked her; some despised her; and some sympathized with her. She felt as if she had returned to two years ago, when she had become the target of public criticism and deeply bruised by their scathing judgments.
As Sophia was boiling with anger, her whole body was shaking. She wanted to go, but Bell stood in her way. She wanted to explain, but words got stuck in her throat. In the end, her eyes reddened as her eyes were brimming with tears, but biting her lips hard, she still tried her best to hold them back.
"Sophia, be strong! You've experienced all these two years ago, haven't you?"
"If you're as fragile as before, what's the point of the hardships you've suffered for the past two years?"
She took a deep breath, raised her head, and looked at Bell with a stern gaze.
"Bell, what on earth have I done to you that you have to be so harsh to me?"
Bell snorted and crossed her arms over her chest, looking extremely arrogant.
"I am being harsh to you? I'm just telling the truth."
"But the truth is not like this!"
Sophia gritted her teeth, looked at Joel, and said, "If you hadn't told me that Joel was in the hotel, how would I have gone there? You were the one who tricked me!"
"Sophia, could make up a better excuse? Joel was in another hotel at that time, but he was with me. But you said that I asked you to go to the hotel to find him? Am I stupid? I knew you wanted to steal my boyfriend away, yet I let you go to the hotel to find him?"
Sophia was stunned, as she was completely speechless.
Yes, what Bell said was the truth. She received a phone call from Bell saying that Joel and a woman were in a hotel room together. She actually didn't believe it at all, but in the end, Bell managed to convince her to go. She didn't expect that she would pass out as soon as she got out of the elevator.
Then the next day, the incident which was an embarrassment to her for the rest of her life happened.
Later, she learned that it was on that night that Joel had sex with Bell in a hotel room.
And the relationship between Joel and her had become a secret as they have never told anyone about their 5-year relationship.
Sophia closed her eyes, clenched her fists tightly, and desperately told herself to calm down.
"Don't fall into her trap!"
Bell wanted her to lose control and make a fool of herself, but she wouldn't!
After a while, Sophia opened her eyes again, and the weakness and anger disappeared from her eyes. She was about to speak when suddenly, someone among the guests let out an exclamation, "Mr. Blaine?"
Sophia was slightly surprised. She looked up and saw Roland standing tall and elegant in front of the door.
The orange light shone on his shoulder, making the original cold and hard lines soft. Half of his face was hidden in the shadows, adding dimensions to his face. His black eyes were deep and his lips sealed tightly, exuding a gloomy aura.
Sophia's first reaction was, when did he get here?
The second reaction was, did he hear what he said just now?
Sophia's face was slightly pale.
He strode towards Sophia with a tense face.
Bell and the others had met Roland before. Seeing the glum expression on his face, she couldn't help but be proud of herself.
"Ah! Sophia, do you really think that you deserve to marry someone that is out of your league? Do you know that I can easily expose you? I don't think that Mr. Blaine is still willing to be with you after he knows all the bad things you were involved in in the past!"
She had imagined a lot of possible ways that Roland would react in her head. Bell couldn't wait to see how Sophia would make a fool of herself.
However, Roland walked up to Sophia and put his hand on her shoulder. He looked at her and asked with concern, "Are you alright?"
Sophia bit her lower lip and shook her head.
"What's going on?"
A mellow tone of a male voice sounded. Only then did everyone notice that Marty was here too. A pair of bewitching eyes were smiling as Marty sized up Sophia. Laughing, he said, "Sophia, who had bullied you? Tell me. I'll make sure he or she pays the price."
Sophia glanced at him and didn't say anything.
The guests next to him were a little anxious when they saw Marty was quite close to Sophia. From that, they could tell that the relationship between Sophia and Roland was not what everyone had conjectured.
For a moment, those who were shrewd enough stopped talking. Looking at Roland who was holding Sophia with a pained expression, not resigned, Bell added, "Mr. Blaine, what I just said is true. You can check it if you don't believe me. Besides, she is my sister. I wouldn't have exposed her if she had not gone too far by putting up an innocent facade just to deceive you."
Roland glanced at her. "So I have to thank you?"
Hearing this, Bell felt happy and quickly shook her head, "Mr. Blaine, you don't have to stand on ceremony with me. It's my pleasure to help you."
"Ha!" Roland sneered. "It seems that you have forgotten what I said at your wedding yesterday."
Bell's facial expression changed slightly. Of course, she remembered, but at that time, Roland still didn't know Sophia's true colors. But now...
Before she could react, Roland had already scooped Sophia up. As she walked out, he said to Marty, "Tell your uncle, from now on, don't invite me to a banquet where anyone like her could attend."
After that, he had already left.
Marty was a little stunned. For the first time, he thought he had heard things wrongly.
Was Roland trying to put pressure on his own family for Sophia's sake?
Just because of such a trivial matter?
