Chapter 1029 Something Is Weird

In addition, Clarissa was pregnant.
No matter what, Sierra had to be considerate toward Clarissa.
Thus, Sierra nodded.
"Okay, let's go back and have a rest. After dinner, we'll decide whether we should watch the play."
"Alright."
After the discussion, they took the car and went back to the castle.
When they reached home, Robert was already back from the lab.
At this time, he was in the greenhouse, dealing with the Way Tree.
Knowing that they were back, he came from behind and asked, "Where have you been today?"
Immediately, Sierra told him all the places that they had visited today.
When he learned that they had gone to the Goddess Palace, he was surprised.
"You guys went to the Goddess Palace?"
Upon hearing his question, Sierra smilingly answered, "That's right. We were curious, so we visited there."
For a while, Robert remained silent before he sneered, "What's so interesting about that place? They are just taking advantage of the influence to make money. It's better to believe in yourself rather than believe in those things."
Clarissa also chimed in, "I agree with you, but I think the locals are really faithful to the Godness. I saw everyone was rushing to eat the blessed fruit like a pack of hungry wolves."
After hearing that, Robert shook his head.
"These people are truly ignorant."
As he spoke, he thought of something, and he turned to look at Clarissa.
"Since you know this, have you inquired about the owner of the Goddess Palace?"
Clarissa stunned.
Then, Sierra responded, "Of course! I've asked around. However, I couldn't find out much because they were not willing to tell us. We only know that the owner is from the east."
"What do they mean from the east?"
With an irked expression, Robert revealed, "The owner is actually the member of the Marsh Family."
"What?"
Everyone was taken aback.
"Member of the Marsh Family?" Clarissa's expression changed.
"Yes, I didn't know before that. Later on, I saw a man dealing with a staff of the Goddess Palace, and I overheard their conversation. Only then, I knew that man was working for the Marsh Family. I don't know if the Marsh Family built this place, or they took over this place. Anyway, it is in their hands now."
As soon as he finished his words, everyone's face darkened.
Among everyone, Clarissa and Anderson were both the Marsh Family's rivals.
As for Sierra, she also disliked the Marsh Family because of Clarissa.
At first, they didn't think much of it, but it didn't occur to them that the Goddess Palace was actually the property of the Marsh Family.
Thinking that they had just visited there, everyone felt strange.
At this moment, Anderson suddenly blurted, "No wonder."
Surprised, Clarissa asked, "What's wrong? What do you mean by 'no wonder'?"
After he pursed his lips, he said, "All of you might find this unbelievable. Actually, I saw Luca over there just now."
Hearing that, everyone was caught unaware.
Right away, Clarissa blurted, "Why is he here? Isn't he in Blink City?"
In a deep voice, he replied, "You're right. I was also surprised just now, but since the Marsh Family owns the Goddess Palace, then his appearance makes sense."
Listening to what he said, everyone fell silent while looking displeased.
After a while, Clarissa fumed.
"This bunch of b*st*rds is literally everywhere."
Hearing that, Sierra patted the back of her hand in comfort.
"It has nothing to do with us, so don't think too much about it. At most, we won't go there next time."
In a low voice, Clarissa scowled, "Whether it's theirs or not, I don't intend to go there again."
To that, Sierra nodded and looked at Robert. "You're also not allowed to go there in the future, got it?"
A rare smile appeared on Robert's face.
"When did I ever pray?"
When Sierra heard that, she pondered and thought he was right.
Since he had said so, Sierra didn't say anything else.
Looking at Clarissa's mad expression, she coaxed, "Why don't you go back to your room and have a rest? I'll call you when it's dinner."
To that, Clarissa didn't stand on ceremony and nodded. Then, she left the kids to play downstairs and went upstairs to rest, accompanied by Anderson.
Back in the room, she leaned against the bedhead and uttered, "Anderson, strangely, I felt that something was wrong from this trip."
After hearing what she said, Anderson sat beside her and let her lie on his lap. While massaging her temples, he asked, "Why did you say so?"
She answered, "Just now, you said that you saw Luca in the Goddess Palace. Actually, I also kept having the feeling that someone was spying on us. Do you think it was a member of the Marsh Family?"
At once, Anderson's finger paused.
After a long while, he responded, "Probably not. I've arranged for a bodyguard to protect us secretly throughout our trip. So, don't worry."
"But..."
"You must be exhausted. Why don't we stay at home and rest for the next two days?"
With a gentle tone, he coaxed.
Looking into his eyes, Clarissa saw his tender and doting expression that she was very familiar with.
It was only then that her troubled heart was slightly at ease.
With that, she responded with a nod.
"Maybe you're right. I'll take a nap first. Remember to wake me up in an hour."
"Alright."
After helping her to lie down, he said, "Have a good rest. I'll be here with you."
"Okay."
As Clarissa was tired, it didn't take long for her to fall asleep.
Sitting by her bed, Anderson gazed at her sleeping face and kissed her forehead before whispering, "Don't worry, Clarissa. I'll protect you and our children."
Later, when Clarissa woke up, it was already six o'clock in the evening.
At this time, the sky was still bright and sunny. As the night began late here, the sky would only turn completely dark at 10 p.m.
Therefore, the weather at this moment was as hot as the weather in Ascijan during the mid-afternoon.
Fortunately, Anderson had closed the curtains. So, the room was dark, and her sleep was not affected.
Seeing that he was not by her side, she thought he had gone out.
Even so, as soon as she moved, she heard his gentle voice.
"You're awake."
Then, a warm big palm reached out to her.
Surprised, Clarissa looked at him.
At that moment, she saw Anderson was sitting on the chair beside the bed, reading a book. Only then, she noticed that there was a faint lamp at the corner of the room. He had been sitting under it for a long time.
With that, she smiled and sat up with his help.
"What is the time now?"
"It's six o'clock."
After a pause, he asked her, "Are you thirsty? I'll pour you a glass of water."
"Alright."
Clarissa nodded.
