Chapter 923 A Family Of Four

Clarissa did not know why the others were not up yet, but the answer was clear to Anderson.
All men think alike. The previous night's event was stimulating, and every man would do what Anderson had done. Instead, it would be a surprise if anyone got up early.
Without giving Clarissa a chance to wake up the others, he pulled her to the dining room for a meal. Then, he packed his luggage to leave for home.
Lauren woke up behind them and found that they had all packed up their things. Quickly, she packed her luggage and grumbled that Clarissa did not wake her.
As she only stayed for a night, Lauren did not have much to pack, but she did have some trinkets she bought the night before.
Once done with packing, they bade farewell to Emmeline and Jara and left for the airport.
They took the one-thirty flight in the afternoon for Ascijian. It was six o'clock in the evening when they arrived in the country.
It had been a long time since Clarissa saw her two babies. As she sat in the car, she could not wait to be at their side once again.
Her excitement was palpable, and Anderson teased her, "You cling on to them so much. How is it that you don't cling on to me?"
In reply, Clarissa rested her head on his chest and said, "What do you mean I don't cling onto you? Aren't I clinging onto you now?"
The man squinted at her and whispered, "I like it more the way you cling to me in bed."
Clarissa was lost for words.
She shot a glance at the driver in front, then furtively pinched Anderson in the waist.
Her antics amused Anderson, who could not help but laughed.
The way back home was uneventful. The children's shouts of delight greeted them at the door.
"Oh, Uncle Marty, you are amazing! This castle is looking good!"
The servants saw the car coming in, so they gathered to welcome them home.
"Sir, madam, welcome back."
Perhaps the children did not believe that it was her voice, so they stopped for a while before rushing headlong out.
"Mummy! "
"Mummy, Daddy!"
Dashing out like lighting, the children jumped into Clarissa's arms and hugged her tightly.
Luckily, Anderson was behind to steady Clarissa as she almost fell over from the onrush.
Meanwhile, he smiled happily and teased the children, "You almost knocked Mommy down. Be careful, or all three of you will fall!"
Then, Anne smirked, "It's okay, Mommy. Daddy will support you from behind!"
Her sarcasm jolted Anderson, who glared at her and said, "Naughty girl."
In reply, Anne grimaced.
With a smile, Clarissa put the children down, held hands, and walked into the house. Anderson then followed behind together with the servants, carrying the luggage.
As Clarissa walked in, she met Marty coming out of the games room.
When Marty saw her, he smiled and greeted her, "How are you, Clarissa?"
Clarissa broke into a smile. "What brings you here today? Where's Evelyn? She's not here with you?"
With that, Marty replied, "She's not feeling well at home. I'm here to fix something for Anne."
His answer stirred Clarissa's concern, and she asked, "She's not feeling well? Is she sick?"
Marty looked embarrassed as he scratched his head, "No, she's not sick. It's just... It's something good."
His words were a pleasant surprise to Clarissa.
At this moment, Anderson just walked in and overheard them. Right away, he teased Marty, "Hey, you're going to be a father soon. Here, carry these bags to build up your muscles. You'll need muscles to carry your baby!"
With a laugh, Marty walked over and said, "Sure. Let me take these."
Clarissa shook off her surprise and smiled.
Apart from Lauren, Evelyn was also one of her close circle of friends. Clarissa was the one who helped Evelyn up and remained very concerned over her.
Naturally, when Clarissa heard the good news, she was happier than the others.
She then reminded Marty, "Tell Evelyn that there are lots of things to take care of during pregnancy."
With a smile, Marty assured her, "Yes. We know that. We're not living on our own. We're back with my mom and dad. My mom is looking after her."
This was shocking news to Clarissa.
Clarissa had heard about how Marty's mother was not fond of Evelyn and despised her movie star status, and she was not happy with Evelyn's and Marty's marriage.
Now Evelyn was back at Marty's parents' house, and Marty's mother was caring for her meant that their relationship had improved tremendously.
Joyfulness overcame Clarissa. "I'll visit her someday."
With a nod, Marty said, "All right. I'll let her know that you'll come over anytime."
In response, Clarissa nodded. Marty then helped Anderson with the luggage.
After that, Anne took Clarissa to the games room.
"Mommy, look, this is the castle Uncle Marty build for me."
In the games room stood a small but exquisite and gorgeous castle. The castle was build from environmentally friendly material with enough space for two children to play in.
Smiling, Clarissa complimented, "It's so beautiful."
As they spoke, Marf came in and sat on the cushions before the castle. He pleaded, "Play with us, Mommy."
Clarissa smiled, "All right, I'll play with you for a while, then you'll play on your own, okay?"
Both of them nodded.
While Clarissa was playing with the children, Anderson hauled all of the luggage inside. Now he was chatting with Marty.
Anderson had been away from Flaucford for a considerable time. Even though he received daily reports from his staff here, there were still gaps.
It was great that Marty could fill in the gaps all at once now.
As they were chatting away, Anderson's phone rang.
It was a call was from his parents, and he promptly answered.
Knowing that their son was back, his old folks were concerned about Jara's situation.
The Jordan and Holland families were in friendly competition. Therefore, in the event of outside forces wanting to muscle into the Ascijian market, the two families would unite to counter the threat.
That was why Anderson's parents were worried about Jara's.
Only after Anderson gave a detailed account about how the Icarus Association was eradicated that his parents felt relieved.
After they finished talking business, Anderson was asked to have dinner at his parent's home before they hung up the phone.
Not long after, Marty left as he could see that Anderson had things to take care of.
With that, Anderson went to the games room and saw Clarissa playing peek-a-boo with the children.
The games room was not that big. It was 100 square meters. The room was packed with toys of all sizes and shapes, leaving not much space for hiding.
Also, the children were not good at keeping quiet. They made noises even when they walked, breathed, and just about every movement.
Anne was older and was better at hiding. As for Marf, he was like a little loudspeaker making sure that everyone knew where he was.
In this peek-a-boo game, it was easy for Clarissa to find the children. However, she played along and pretended that she did not hear their movements.
Her eyes were blindfolded, and she announced with a smile, "Are you ready? Here I come!"
