Chapter 664 Admitting Mistake

With her eyes widened, she looked at Marty in disbelief. Gritting her teeth, she said, "You don't know what I'm angry about? Don't you know what you've done? Don't you have a boundary?"
Hearing that, Marty was completely taken aback.
What did he do?
Why was there a need to have a boundary?
However, his experience taught him that no matter what caused her to be angry, at a time like this, he must not ask her the reason, otherwise, he would be wrong regardless of the question.
Hence, no matter what it was, he had to apologize first.
As a result, Marty became serious and said solemnly, "I'm sorry, honey. I was wrong."
Hearing that, Evelyn was stunned.
All of a sudden, the fire that was about to burst shriveled up like a punctured balloon because he said sorry.
Looking at him for a moment, finally, she snorted coldly.
"Don't think that I will forgive you just because you said that you were wrong. Hmph!"
Immediately, Marty coaxed her. "Wifey, I was really wrong."
After saying that, he reached out and held her in his arms.
In truth, the anger in Evelyn had already dissipated, but she couldn't help but ask, "What did you do wrong?"
Hearing that, Marty was speechless.
In truth, he really wanted to say he had no idea what did he do wrong.
However, he did not dare to say it directly. After thinking for a while, he recalled everything that had happened along the way. Finally, his eyes lit up.
Looking at Evelyn, he said tentatively, "Don't tell me it was because I was staring at the woman just now?"
At first, he was only trying his luck, and he didn't have much hope with his answer.
Unexpectedly, the expression on Evelyn's face changed slightly.
With a glance, Marty knew that he made the right guess.
Then, he felt a sigh of relief at heart, at the same time, he felt happy.
With a smile, he continued. "Wifey, you are jealous?
He said it playfully.
Hearing that, Evelyn raised her eyes and glared at him.
Gnashing her teeth, she said, "Sounds like you're very proud of yourself, aren't you?"
Grinning as he pulled her into his arms, he put his arm around her waist and smiled shamelessly. "How can I? I just think that since you are jealous, it means that you care about me, and I am very happy about it."
Snorted, Evelyn didn't say anything.
Then, Marty explained, "Actually, the reason why I was staring at that woman just now wasn't because she was pretty."
Hearing that, Evelyn rolled her eyes at him. "I don't believe you."
Immediately, he raised his fingers and said, "Really, I swear to God that no matter how beautiful she is, she is not as beautiful as you in my eyes. After all, you are my wife, aren't you?"
As he spoke, he even leaned over to give her a kiss.
But, Evelyn slapped him away in disgust and said in a cold voice, "Whatever. I don't care anyway."
Looking at her hotheaded temperament, Marty couldn't help but laugh.
Then, he shook his head helplessly and said with a smile, "You may not believe it. If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe that there could be such a coincidence in the world."
Seeing that he seemed to have something to say, Evelyn was all ears, although she still did not look at him directly.
As expected, Marty continued. "The reason why I kept staring at her just now is not that she is beautiful, but because of her appearance. She looked very similar to someone I have seen before, but that person died more than twenty years ago. That's why I was a little absent-minded just now and thought I saw that person."
Stunned, she didn't expect it to turn out that way, so she turned her head curiously.
"Someone you've seen before? Who?"
But Marty shook his head.
"I don't know her. I saw her in a photo. The photo was sandwiched in my dad's book. One day, I was bored and went to the study to look for books. When I accidentally found it, I took the photo to my dad, and he said that she was a good friend of his who had passed away many years ago."
In a surprise, she asked subconsciously, "Do you know the name of that person?"
Shaking his head, Marty said, "I don't know. I didn't ask, and my father didn't tell me."
Then, Evelyn fell silent for a moment.
For that matter, if it was possible that it was just a coincidence, but maybe she was being paranoid about it, as somehow she thought it was a bit off.
As Marty noticed the slight frown on her face, he was afraid that she would be unhappy, so he added with a smile. "Alright, don't think too much about it. There are so many people in this world who have the same appearance. Maybe it's just two people who really look alike."
"What's more, when I saw that photo, I was really young. The memory of children is not that accurate. Maybe I remember it wrongly."
When Evelyn heard what he said, she was still suspicious, but she didn't say anything more.
Only then did the two of them walk happily somewhere else, hand in hand.
Meanwhile, on the other end.
In the peach forest, after the woman saw off the young couple, she sat down again and stroked the harp.
Her fingertips were extremely pointy, lightly caressing the strings of the harp, and playing a melodious tune.
But then, she stopped, as her hands paused in mid-air.
After a moment, she sighed lightly and let go of the strings, then said to herself, "Seems like it's not a good day for me to play the harp. Nothing happened, but how come I can't calm down?"
Just then, she heard footsteps behind her.
A man came out from the depths of the peach forest. When he saw her sitting there wearing only a thin piece of dress on, he frowned in an instant.
Walking over, he put on a thin jacket on her shoulder and said in a gentle voice, "It's so cold in the woods, why did you come out wearing so little?"
Looking up, the woman smiled when she saw it was him.
"Clint, it's noon now, and everyone is wearing sling dresses. Instead, I'm wearing a long-sleeved jacket, Isn't it weird?"
Hearing that, Clint paused for a moment, and a look of disapproval flashed across his eyes.
"That's someone else. Everyone's different. Your health is more important, and who cares what others think of you?
As he spoke, he helped her put on the jacket. Then, his gaze landed on the harp and he frowned slightly.
"It's getting late. Don't play anymore. Let's go back for lunch!"
Hearing that, the woman did not refuse and stood up obediently.
Clint Vale took the initiative and reached out to carry the harp for her. After making sure they didn't leave anything behind, they went ahead with satisfaction.
They didn't walk long before they arrived at a remote small restaurant.
The whole villa was very large, and obviously, that was not the only restaurant there.
Hence, the two were at a theme restaurant that was relatively secluded.
After the two entered the dining room, Marty helped her sit down and then went straight into the kitchen.
