Chapter 142 So Handsome
Although Pattie felt sympathetic to Clarissa, she dare not to say anything in Matteo's stern eyes.
It didn't take long before Anderson came back.
He naturally received Clarissa's message, but he didn't think much. He thought that one of her friends came here to sleep for one night.
As for who her friend was, he was not interested.
However, he was completely shocked when he entered the house.
In the living room, Matteo and Anne were sitting on the sofa. It was not time to go to bed yet, and Clarissa was taking a bath, so Matteo was sitting there and playing a rope game with Anne.
Pattie stood by and looked at them with a smile. Anne's favorite cartoon was playing on the TV. The atmosphere was very warm and harmonious.
"You…"
"Oh, you must be Miss Chapman's husband! You're so handsome!"
Matteo suddenly stood up from the sofa and looked at Anderson with a smiling face.
Anderson was confused.
Feeling so speechless, Pattie went forward in a hurry and took the coat from Anderson's hand.
"Mr. Jordan, you are back."
Anderson took a deep breath to suppress the shock in his heart.
Just as he was about to say something, Clarissa's voice came from the direction of the stairs.
"Anderson, you are back."
She had just finished taking a shower and wore a nightgown. She walked downstairs quickly with her hair being wrapped by a wet towel.
"I'll introduce them you. This is Anne. This is Anne's great grandmother, Matteo. They are my new friends, and they will stay here for one night. Is that okay?"
In fact, Clarissa was worried that Anderson would refuse her.
Although he looked gentle, sometimes it was hard to persuade him.
Especially in a place like home, she found that he didn't like having outsiders coming in.
For example, Anderson was a little unhappy when Lauren came here the last time.
Anderson took a deep breath again.
He glanced at Matteo. She was still smiling, but he was familiar with her, so he could see the warning expression in her old and shrewd eyes.
Then he turned his head and looked at Anne who was sitting on the sofa.
Anne's skin was snow white. With expectation, she blinked and looked at him with a pair of big and bright eyes, like a delicate and fragile porcelain doll.
There was no guilty expression that she should have after doing a bad thing on her face at all.
Anderson had a complicated feeling in heart.
Seeing that he didn't speak, Clarissa thought he was unhappy but he didn't say it in front of them for the sake of her.
So she got closer to him, pulled his sleeve and shook it.
She said in a low voice, "They are very poor. No one cares about them at home, and they lost their wallet when they came out to travel. They have no money and they can't live outside..."
Anderson sneered.
He turned to look at Clarissa, "Poor? No one cares about them?"
Clarissa nodded seriously.
Anderson tried not to show the dissatisfaction in his heart.
"Fine. If they want to live here, just let them live! Come with me."
Saying this, he walked straight upstairs.
Looking at Anderson's gloomy expression and quick footsteps, Clarissa touched her forehead helplessly.
"Miss Chapman, have we bothered you?"
Matteo asked guiltily.
Clarissa smiled in a hurry.
"No. He is just like this. Although he looks cold on the surface, he is a kind man. Please don't think too much."
"Oh, that's good."
"Well, it's late. Good night. I'll go up first."
"Oh, okay."
After Clarissa comforted Matteo, she quickly followed Anderson upstairs.
In the bedroom on the second floor.
After Anderson untied his tie, he turned his head and saw Clarissa walking in cautiously with her back arched.
Seeing her nervous look, he suddenly didn't know whether to be angry or to laugh.
He sat down on the bed and wave at her.
"Come here!"
Clarissa knew that he was unhappy, so she didn't dare disobey him at this time and walked to him.
As soon as she walked to his front, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her. The next second, she was forced to sit on his lap and fell into his arms.
Clarissa let out a soft cry of surprise and wrapped her hands around his neck subconsciously. She asked with annoyance, "What are you doing?"
Anderson looked at her seriously, "How did you meet them?"
Clarissa was stunned for a moment. She didn't expect him to ask this, so she told him how she met Anne twice.
She didn't know if it was her illusion, but she always felt that the more she said, the gloomier his face became.
She thought that it was because Anderson didn't like having strangers come to the house, but she really liked Anne, and she couldn't let such a small child go out to live at night.
Therefore, she hugged his neck and begged him, "Just one night! I promise that I will help them contact their families tomorrow and will never cause you any trouble."
Anderson looked at her and sneered.
He felt so speechless about her innocence and cuteness.
Finally, he nodded and pinched her waist lightly.
"Okay. How are you going to bribe me?"
Clarissa's cheeks blushed.
Knowing what he wanted, she leaned forward and quickly kissed him on the lips.
Just as she was about to shrink back, Anderson suddenly pressed her on the back of her head. He pulled her into his arms and kissed her more affectionately.
After the kiss, Clarissa opened her eyes out of breath.
She saw Anderson's handsome face and the desire in the depth of his brooding eyes.
"There is only half a month left."
Clarissa was slightly stunned, and she bit her lip and she understood what he meant.
Her teeth was white, and her red lips were like attractive red cherries.
Anderson's eyes glinted as he swallowed again. Finally, he suppressed the desire in his heart and said in a deep voice, "You've promised me, and you can't go back on your word."
Clarissa nodded gently.
Half an hour later, Clarissa left the bedroom and went to the guest room downstairs.
Anne had taken a shower with the help of a servant. She was leaning against the bed and waiting for Clarissa to tell her a story.
When Clarissa went in, she saw Anne wearing a pink and fluffy pajamas. She didn't know where the servants got the pajamas, but it was quite cute.
The pink color suited Anne and set off her snow-white and delicate skin, making her look like a beautiful doll. She looked so adorable!
"Auntie Clarissa, you are here!"
How Anne addressed Clarissa depended on her mood.
After knowing that Anne did not have a mother, Clarissa didn't correct her address anymore. She smiled, and walked over to sit down by the bed.
"Yeah, what kind of story would you like to hear tonight?"
"I want to hear Elsa's story."
"Do you want to hear her story again?"
Clarissa found that Anne really liked Elsa, and she listened to this story last time.
Fortunately, she searched this story online when she was free, and told Anne a complete story with the experience of the last time.
Anne nestled in her arms, listened to her quietly, and fell asleep after a while.
