Chapter 1020 Save Her

Despite his hectic schedule, Benson didn't appear to have made much money.
However, Mrs. Ramsey and Lebbey didn't think much about it.
They solely assumed he had grown and had his own thoughts. Perhaps he wanted to save some money, and they did not object.
As a result, they had never questioned his financial status in the past two years.
Benson heeded his friend's advice and simultaneously invested in multiple films.
Unexpectedly, the films failed one after another. In the end, not to mention making money, he didn't even get his capital back.
His company had only been established for a short time. So how could it bear such suffering?
He now owed tens of millions of dollars in debts. Then, to save face in front of his family and prevent them from discovering his financial status, he sought out private usury rather than borrowing money from a bank.
Of course, usury's interest was exceedingly high.
At first, Benson could barely repay the debt. But in the end, he could no longer pay it due to the exorbitant interest rate.
At this time, the guy who had urged him to invest in the movies and the friend who had loaned him funds eventually revealed their true colors.
They kept putting pressure on him to settle his debts. They threatened to ruin his reputation if he did not repay the loans.
Facing this situation, Benson immediately panicked as it was his first encounter.
He tried to explain to the other party, but they obviously came prepared. Hence, why would they listen to him?
In the end, they not only took away all of his assets, but they also kidnapped his girlfriend.
They also threatened to make him regret it for the rest of his life if he did not clear the debts as soon as possible.
Benson had been dating his girlfriend for three years. They had been in love since school and were deeply attached.
Knowing that his girlfriend, Sherry, was in their hands, Benson soon panicked. However, he couldn't withdraw so much cash in such a short period of time.
At first, he thought that if he couldn't handle it, he'd approach his aunt and the others for assistance.
But at this moment, the other party put forward a condition.
They would let him go temporarily if he could steal the jade from his uncle-in-law and give it to them.
Benson had seen the jade previously and thought it wasn't valuable. Judging from its color, it would cost at most hundreds of thousands of dollars to sell it.
Thus, he agreed without hesitation.
He intended to take advantage of the fact that Mr. Ramsey was out today to steal the jade. However, he did not expect to be caught before he could strike a deal with the jade.
Thinking of this, Benson was a little downhearted.
On the other hand, Mr. and Mrs. Ramsey blew a gasket after hearing his words.
"Why didn't you inform us about such a big matter? Do you think you can deal with it yourself?"
Benson lowered his head and said nothing.
Then, Mrs. Ramsey went on to ask, "Have you given it to them?"
"Not yet."
"Where is it?"
This time, Benson remained silent.
It was clear that he was unwilling to hand it over right now.
Mr. Ramsey was about to erupt in rage when he saw this, but Anderson interrupted.
"You can't be naive enough to think you can leave this place now that you're here," Anderson remarked, staring at him.
Hearing this, Benson trembled slightly, and his fingers subconsciously pinched his trouser pocket.
Then, with a troubled expression on his face, he glanced up at Anderson and murmured, "But Sherry is still in their hands. I can't let anything happen to Sherry."
Upon hearing this, the Ramsey couple looked even more terrible.
"You're not allowed to steal it even if anything happens to her! Besides, how do you know that she was kidnapped because of your actions? Maybe she offended someone on her own? That girl isn't a trustworthy person. Don't be fooled by her."
Following that, Mrs. Ramsey also added lightly, "If that's the case, we can find another way to save her."
Clarissa was keenly aware that they didn't seem to like the girl named Sherry very much.
However, it was none of her business.
She only said in hushed tones, "Mr. Melton, if you're willing to give it to us, we will help you in saving your girlfriend. What do you think?"
Benson looked at her suspiciously.
"How are you guys going to save her?"
"You don't have to worry about that. We have our own ways. All you have to do now is hand over the jade."
"No." Benson immediately becomes vigilant and glared at them.
"What if I hand over the items and you guys refuse to help me save Sherry?"
His attitude really made the Ramsey couple's blood boil.
"What are you talking about? Will they lie to you? Who are you to talk to them in such manner?"
Benson was shocked at once.
At this time, Jameson stood up.
"Then, Benson, do you trust me?"
Benson looked at him.
He knew Jameson. After all, he ran into some troubles when he first started a production company here, and Jameson was the one who helped him overcome them.
As a result, he nodded after a brief pause.
"Since you trust me, then hand the jade over. You may not trust the others, but I won't lie to you."
He somehow believed in Jameson's words.
"Do you promise?" he questioned tentatively, looking at Jameson with some hesitation.
"I promise."
"Well... okay then."
He clenched his fingers. After a while, he took the jade from his pocket.
Jameson took it and handed it to Jara.
Jara hurriedly examined the item, and it was, indeed, Jade of Heaven.
Subsequently, he gave Jameson a friendly nod. Only then did Jameson motion for his men to leave and sat on the sofa.
With his long legs crossed, he raised his head to look at Benson.
"Now, tell me their who they are and how they kidnapped your girlfriend. Tell me everything."
In the following time, Benson told him about the identities of those people and the places where they had agreed to deal.
After Jameson finished listening, he directly made a phone call.
This didn't seem like a big deal to them. He didn't even have to do it himself.
However, they couldn't leave because Sherry hadn't been saved yet, and they didn't want Benson to doubt their words. Thus, they sat and waited together.
Soon, Jameson's men found the other party's whereabouts.
Jameson then ordered them to save Sherry, disregarding anything else. Hence, they completely ignored the other party's identities and rescued her directly.
Originally, Benson had reservations about Jameson.
But until his phone rang and he heard Sherry's familiar voice on the other end, he believed that Jameson did not lie to him. He really saved Sherry!
Benson was so ecstatic that he leaped to his feet as he inquired about her situation.
The Ramsey couple, on the other hand, did not look very well.
