Chapter 370 Keeping Him Company
Clarissa held back her laughter and couldn't help saying, "What kind of jealousy is this? I don't even know how he looks like. Besides, I'm not really going to accept such a valuable gift. I'm going to return it after I find out his identity."
Anderson snorted again.
Clarissa could only coax him. Fortunately, Anderson was not really angry. He was just a little upset by the fact that Clarissa was crazily pursued by another man.
In the end, Clarissa finally managed to placate him. Anderson added, "You have no shooting tomorrow, don't you?"
Clarissa was stunned and thought about it for a while. It seemed that there really wasn't any.
Anderson said, "Come to the company to accompany me."
Clarissa wanted to reject him right away.
"It's not appropriate. You have to work..."
"I have only one meeting tomorrow morning. I'll be spending the rest of the day in the office. You can stay by my side and accompany me."
Clarissa hesitated for a moment. But she remembered she had been busy with filming recently and had not spent much time with him, so she agreed.
The next day, Clarissa asked her assistant Rosie to take a day off, while she and Nora drove directly to the headquarters of Jordan Group.
Everyone in the company knew her. Hence they were not surprised when they saw her walking in with Nora. All of them greeted her respectfully.
Clarissa took the private lift upstairs. When she arrived outside Anderson's office, Nora did not continue following her. Instead, she turned around and went to the secretary's room to drink tea.
Clarissa pushed the door open and went in.
Due to Anderson's instructions, everyone knew that Clarissa would be coming today. Thus, no one stopped her from going into Anderson's room.
When Clarissa entered, Anderson was in the middle of an overseas video conferencing.
This was probably the meeting he mentioned on the phone yesterday.
Clarissa didn't disturb him. After making eye contact with him for a short time, she motioned him to go on before she sat down on the sofa.
David quickly walked in with her favorite milk tea and magazines.
David had all the information on Clarissa's favorite food and drinks and what she liked to do.
Nowadays, being a good assistant would not only mean to serve your boss well, but also taking good care of the boss lady.
David deeply understood this reasoning. When Anderson's gaze drifted past the milk tea and magazine in front of Clarissa, it could be seen that he was very satisfied with it.
After a while, Anderson's video conference was over.
He got up, leaned over and kissed her forehead, and said softly, "Sit down for a while. When I'm done with this, I'll take you to lunch."
Clarissa nodded with a smile.
Next, Anderson was busy with his work again.
In fact, although Clarissa was in the same room as Anderson, she didn't really spend much time with him.
It was because Anderson was too busy.
During the whole morning, Anderson did not stop answering the phone and meeting the person-in charge of each of the departments of the company to discuss work.
The managers of all departments came in and saw Clarissa sitting on the sofa. All of them were amused. After all, although they knew that Clarissa was Anderson's wife, they rarely saw the two of them together.
However, in front of Anderson, they didn't dare to show anything.
They all left after reporting their work.
Clarissa, on the other hand, felt uncomfortable because of their staring.
Fortunately, the office hours during the morning were relatively short, so it quickly passed by.
It was rare for Anderson to give himself a break. He was not going to work in the afternoon, so he was going to bring Clarissa around.
Of course Clarissa was happy about it.
It was not because she was able to go out and have fun, but she felt that Anderson had been tired overworking himself.
It would be nice to have a chance to relax a little.
Therefore, they went out for lunch and shopping in the afternoon.
Clarissa was not sure whether she was overthinking.
But she always felt that Anderson was not himself today.
She couldn't put a finger to it. But in a word, it was giving Clarissa the impression that he was hiding something from her.
For example, after shopping, he suddenly dragged her back home to change clothes for no reason.
But Clarissa didn't mind. She preferred to wear casual clothes while shopping, so she changed into a long-sleeved T-shirt and a pair of jeans.
Anderson frowned as soon as he saw her. He forced her to change into a sky-blue dress which looked delicate on her.
Clarissa was speechless.
But since he wanted her to wear this, she just listened to him.
Anyway, it was fine for him. As long as he was not taking her to climb the mountain, wearing a dress was no different from wearing a pair of trousers.
After forcing Clarissa to change into a long dress, Anderson also went back to his room to change into a formal suit.
He also changed the tie he was wearing during the day into a black tie.
Clarissa thought that he was going to attend someone's wedding today.
However, no matter how she joked about it, Clarissa knew that Anderson would look good in anything. Being able to stare at him every day, she felt that her taste had been improved a lot.
After they changed their clothes, the two of them went out again.
In the evening, Anderson didn't let Anne find Clarissa who was having a day off today, albeit she wanted to be with her badly. He wanted to spend the night with Clarissa.
The two of them arrived at a nearby mountain villa resort.
Although the Starbay Villa was good, Anderson felt that if he stayed for too long and there were so many servants at home, it was inevitable that he would feel the spark in their relationship was gone sometimes.
This resort was owned by Marty's friend. The environment was quiet as it provided the guests with sufficient privacy. The key was that few people knew about it, and ordinary people couldn't come even if they had money.
Especially the drinks here, it was said that the boss of the resort loved wine. In order to enjoy his favorite wine, he bought a winery in Frachwin, planted grapes and participated in wine brewing himself. Therefore, although the wine was recently bottled, the taste was very good.
It was Clarissa's first time to come here, and everything she saw was new to her.
When the wine was served, she just took a sip and felt that there was something extraordinary with it.
"The wine is so mellow. It's slightly bitter in the mouth at first, but had a sweet aftertaste. It's delicious. How did they make it?"
Anderson sat across from her and said with a smile, "I won't be able to answer your question. However, if you like it, we'll buy the recipe for this wine."
Clarissa was stunned and quickly shook her head.
"Forget it. I bet they spent a lot of effort to make this. We'll just have a taste of it here. There's no need for us to go too far."
Anderson laughed.
In fact, he just said it casually, because he knew that Clarissa's character would not allow him to do so.
She always had been a considerate person and always treated other people's labor with respect. Therefore, it was impossible for her to force someone to sell the recipe to her just because she enjoyed drinking it.
The two of them were drinking and chatting, and the atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant.
