Chapter 102 Take Revenge On Them

Or... had he never come in at all?
Clarissa scratched her hair and rubbed her face.
The scene in her dream gradually faded away as she sobered up. Her temples were throbbing, and she had a headache.
She pressed her fingertips on her forehead and rubbed it. Then she got out of bed.
"Mrs. Jordan, good morning!"
Pattie happened to come in. She looked at Clarissa and smiled.
Clarissa forced a smile, "I got up so late. Why didn't you wake me up?"
"Mr. Jordan said that you're not feeling well when he left. He let us not disturb you to allow you resting for a while."
Clarissa was stunned.
She looked at Pattie who was relieved and asked, "Where did he sleep last night?"
"Mrs. Jordan, don't you know that? He worked too late last night, so he directly slept in the study."
Clarissa was silent for a moment.
It turned out that he really didn't come back.
There was an indescribable complicated feeling in her heart, and she didn't know what was going on.
Obviously, from the beginning, she had made up her mind to control her heart. No matter what was the final purpose and end of this marriage, she would not let herself take it too seriously.
But... why did she feel a little disappointed?
Clarissa's face didn't look very well. Looking at her expression, Pattie asked cautiously, "Mrs. Jordan, do you want to have breakfast?"
Clarissa came to sense and shook her head.
"No, I'll go to the company now."
Maybe it was because Anderson had asked David to inform people in the department in advance. Although Clarissa was late for work, people in the company were not surprised, as if they had known it.
When Clarissa arrived at the company, she handled her work as usual.
For a whole day, Anderson didn't send her a message or call her.
Clarissa desperately suppressed the strange feeling in her heart. She knew that she could not ask too much from him.
They didn't get married because of love. Whether he had a girlfriend or even a child before, it had nothing to do with her.
Therefore, she didn't have to be upset, and didn't need to ask him anything.
Yes, that was right.
Even if she seemed to be a little tempted by him because of what had happened the last time, it was only a little bit.
Perhaps god let her know what she shouldn't have known because of this to remind her of the existence of the truth.
Clarissa closed her eyes and scratched her hair irritably.
At this moment, her cell phone rang suddenly.
She frowned and picked it up. However, when she saw the caller ID, her expression suddenly changed.
"Mark?"
"It's me."
Mark's voice on the phone was hoarse and steady. He said in a deep voice, "I have found some clues to the thing you asked me to investigate. It is not convenient to talk about this on the phone. When do you have time? Let's talk about it face to face!
Clarissa's breathing suddenly became rapid.
She held the phone with so great strength that her fingertips turned a little pale. It took a long time before she calmed down.
"Okay, send me the address and I will come to you this afternoon."
"Okay."
In the afternoon, Clarissa left work early and went to a cafe as agreed.
Mark was a middle-aged bald man with sunglasses. He had arrived in advance and was sitting in a position by the window.
Seeing Clarissa, he nodded at her.
Clarissa walked over and sat down opposite him.
"How is it? What did you find out?"
She was a little anxious, so she asked straightforwardly as soon as she sat down.
Mark looked at her through sunglasses and said in a deep voice, "As you expected, the car accident five years ago was not an accident."
Clarissa's body froze, and she almost couldn't breathe.
Mark took out a folder from his pocket, poured out a few photos from it and placed them on the table.
"The wreckage of the car had been cleaned up, but the police record of that case is still in the traffic police brigade. I asked one of my friends to get the detailed photos of the car for me. Look at this, there is an obvious trace of man-made damage."
Clarissa looked carefully along the direction of his fingers, and saw an obvious cut on the car in one of the photos.
"This is... the brake pad?"
Mark nodded.
"When Sierra had an accident, a lot of evidence could not be found because the car was burned on the spot, but later the police still took some pictures of the wreckage."
"I picked these photos from hundreds of photos. The people who did it was very clever. They knew that the car would burn and all the evidence would be burned. What they didn't expect was that when the car burnt, it would directly break through the bridge barrier and fall into the river. Some of the fire went out in the water, leaving some evidence. "
Clarissa's face was somewhat pale.
Her eyes, which had always been cold and quiet, was very calm at this moment, and there was no expression in her eyes.
"Who did it? Have you found out this?"
Mark shook his head.
"I got the photo, and then I informed you in a hurry. I haven't investigated the person yet."
"Will it be difficult?"
"I think so."
He frowned, "It has been a long time. The people who did it may have left Visstead long ago, and the people behind his back wouldn't leave anything that others could hold against them. Maybe they had dealt with problems arising from the accident. It's so hard for us to find them now."
Clarissa was silent for a moment.
After a moment, she sneered with cold eyes.
"In fact, there is no need to investigate it. I know who did it."
She stared at the broken brake pad in the photo, and sneered, "The one who has got the biggest profit from my mother's death is the murderer."
Mark was silent for a while.
"It's a pity that we have no way to send them to prison by law if we can't find any evidence."
Clarissa sneered with aloofness.
By law?
Even if she couldn't send them to prison by law, she would figure out another way.
As long as it was confirmed that her mother was indeed murdered, and she didn't because of an accident, she would always have a way to let Lara and her mother tell the truth personally.
Her eyes were blazing with the terrible flames of fury. Mark looked at her and was silent for a while.
"What are you going to do?"
Clarissa said in a light tone, "Naturally, I will take revenge on them!"
"By yourself?"
"What's wrong?"
Mark began to speak and then hesitated.
Clarissa glanced at him and frowned, "When did you become so hesitant?"
Mark was speechless.
He said helplessly, "I heard that you are with Anderson now, so why don't you ask him for help? Destroying the Chapman family is just a piece of cake for him."
Clarissa sneered.
Mark didn't know if it was his illusion. He always felt that when he mentioned Anderson, Clarissa's eyes became even colder.
"I don't need unrelated people to interfere in my affairs."
After a pause, she stood up, "Alright, I got it. Thank you. I will transfer the money to you later."
After Clarissa finished speaking, she turned and walked out.
At the same time, a black Rolls-Royce passed by the cafe. The people in the car accidentally glanced out the window, but saw a familiar figure.
Clarissa was wearing black and white casual clothes with a peaked cap on her head, and she was walking outside with her head slightly lowered.
Anderson was slightly surprised for a moment and then asked David to stop the car.
When he was about to get out of the car, he saw that a man walked out of the cafe quickly and stopped Clarissa.
