Chapter 689 He Was Kidnapped

"Handsome, why are you here alone? Is there no one to accompany you? Can I stay here with you?"
As she spoke, she threw herself at Clint.
Clint was caught off guard and embraced her.
He wanted to push the woman away at first, but when he touched her body, a soft fragrance filled his nose.
He was startled, a little absent-minded.
Looking at the woman in front of him, he only felt that it was an illusion.
Sue's frail and pale face appeared before his eyes shortly after.
"Sue."
He was ecstatic and shouted in a daze.
"Sue, is it you?"
"You still can't bear to leave me alone. You came to find me because you're worried, right?"
He couldn't stop himself from reaching out his hand to the woman and shouting, "Sue!"
In the noisy corridor of the bar, the woman's mouth was curved with a seductive smile. Then, she gently placed one hand on his shoulder and spoke softly and seductively.
"Yes, I am Sue. I've come to see you. Can you come with me?"
"Okay. I'm willing to go wherever you are as long as you're with me."
The woman's expression was unmoved by his affection.
There were only schemes and apathy.
Later, it was already one o'clock at midnight when Clint woke up.
A splash of cold water startled him awake.
He opened his eyes to see a bright light in front of him.
Due to the discomfort, he quickly closed his eyes. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in a lavishly decorated villa.
He was tied with ropes all over his body and sitting in the villa's living room at the time.
Where was he?
What had happened?
His expression changed drastically, and when he tried to recall, he only remembered drinking at a bar with his friends.
What was going on?
Clint's heart was racing with fear.
His fear was visible on his face.
He swallowed his saliva, looking around to see if anyone was nearby.
However, after turning his head and looking around for a while, he discovered it was all quiet. There was no one else around.
In fact, Clint was not a coward. He was unconcerned about being kidnapped.
The uncertainty was what frightened him the most.
He had no idea who the kidnapper was or what the kidnapper's purpose was.
It was like an invisible huge net had enveloped him, leaving him unsure of where to escape.
Clint really hated this kind of feeling.
Therefore, he could not help but yell.
"Is there anyone here? Is there anyone here?"
However, the only thing that responded to him was the echo.
There was not a single person present.
All of a sudden, the feeling of dread became more intense.
He struggled a few times and discovered that the rope was actually tied in a very tricky manner, though it appeared to be simple. The rope was getting tighter and tighter every time he struggled, and there was no sign of it loosening up.
At that moment, Clint couldn't help but swallow his saliva.
After giving it some thought, he decided not to struggle any longer. Instead, he sat still and waited quietly.
At this time, in the study on the second floor.
Buckley was discharged from the hospital yesterday. He had not returned home immediately after that. Instead, he had arranged for Clint to be kidnapped and brought here as well.
Clint had not yet awakened when he arrived.
As a result, Buckley only stayed in the study room, not in a hurry to go down. He wanted to see Clint's reaction first.
On the side, Roland was also present. The kidnapping was directed Buckley and was then carried out by Roland.
Roland chuckled coldly as he examined Clint sitting quietly on the ground.
"He managed to calm down so quickly."
Buckley agreed with a nod.
"True. People like him, who live on the edge all year, would almost certainly be killed if kidnapped. It's already commendable of him to be able to maintain calm in this situation."
Roland turned around and glanced at Buckley.
After a pause, he couldn't help but ask, "Dad, how do you know that he was the one who planned the accident?"
Buckley gave a wry smile.
He didn't explain why. After all, he didn't want anyone to know the reason.
That was because he had seen Clint pass by through the car window before the accident that day.
When he awoke, he secretly summoned people to investigate.
He discovered that Clint was with Sue and had been for many years. After a brief moment of thought, he understood what was going on.
That was why he didn't want anyone to know, including Marty.
He didn't want to bring up what had happened between him and Sue again.
As for Clint, his background was very complicated. Thus, Buckley didn't want to offend someone with such a strong background.
After all, the Blaine family was no longer what it used to be.
Now, they had directed most of their focus toward the company. They had long since given up on the illicit behavior.
Unfortunately, that was how the world worked. The wealthy were terrified of those with nothing to lose.
Ultimately, a person with nothing to lose was the most dangerous.
As a result, he didn't want to make a big deal out of a minor personal issue and cause trouble for his children. Furthermore, it was most likely a misunderstanding.
Thinking of this, Buckley let out a heavy sigh.
"Move me downstairs."
When Roland realized he hadn't gotten an answer, he stopped asking questions. Instead, he pushed Buckley's wheelchair out of the room.
Buckley was permitted to be discharged from the hospital.
However, the wounds on his body were still too severe. Because the Blaine family had their own family doctor, he was then discharged from the hospital. After all, it was more suitable for him to be at home.
Charlotte did not have to stay in the hospital as a result of this arrangement. Hence, it was a more convenient option.
Even so, it didn't mean he could now move freely.
Thus, he had to sit in a wheelchair wherever he went from now on. He couldn't go around carelessly and needed a few people to look after him.
Charlotte was still upset when he said he was going out to handle business as soon as he was discharged.
She felt that he wasn't taking care of himself.
Buckley felt powerless, but he couldn't do anything about it.
In the end, he could only smile bitterly to express his helplessness.
Later, Roland pushed him downstairs. Their arrival soon attracted Clint's attention.
Clint was astounded when he realized it was them. He was taken aback.
"It turned out to be you guys?"
Buckley appeared much more composed in comparison to Clint's shock.
Moreover, Buckley smiled warmly as he said, "Mr. Vale, it's been a long time since we last met."
Clint's expression changed dramatically.
After a long while, he snorted with disdain.
"Why did you kidnap me? What do you mean by this?"
He raised his hand as he said this, indicating that his hands were tied to a rope.
