Chapter 97 Bring Meal For Him

A cold voice sounded. They looked up and saw the lobby manager coming over.
Seeing him, those receptionists were so frightened and immediately returned to their positions.
"Nothing. Nothing."
"Yeah, we didn't say anything."
The lobby manager just scolded them because they gathered together. When they were absent-minded in ordinary times, he always turned a blind eye to them.
So he didn't care about it anymore, and said in a deep voice, "Now Mr. Jordan is in the company, and you can't be as sluggish as before. You should be careful when you're working! If Mr. Jordan sees you like this, I won't be able to protect you."
Hearing this, they knew that he was telling the truth, so they agreed obediently.
"We won't dare do it anymore."
Only then did the lobby manager get satisfied and left.
......
The elevator went up all the way to the forty-eighth floor.
After the elevator door opened, David led her out and went directly to the president's office.
It was not the first time Clarissa had come to Anderson's office, but it was different from last time. Last time, she came here at lunch time, and everyone in the secretary's office had left.
So no one knew she had been here.
That day, even Anderson stayed to work overtime, and the people in the secretary's office naturally did not dare leave.
So she could only brace herself and walked in under their curious eyes.
She felt a little regretful.
She only thought about how to please Anderson to make up for what had happened last night, but she forgot that everyone hadn't got off work yet.
Since she came here like this, others would definitely see her and know the relationship between her and Anderson.
Thinking of this, Clarissa wanted to go back.
"Well... David, how about you bringing the meal to him? I won't go in."
David looked at her in a dilemma.
"Mrs. Jordan, Mr. Jordan has known that you are here. If you don't go in, he will be very disappointed."
Clarissa smiled awkwardly.
"But... there are so many people outside your office..."
David smiled and said, "Don't worry. I'm now in charge of the the secretary's room. The people in it are all carefully selected by me. They don't like to gossip, so no one will say it."
Clarissa didn't feel relieved until she heard these words.
In the office.
Anderson is dealing with the work.
David knocked on the door, and then he said in a deep voice, "Come in."
David pushed the door open. He did not come in, but turned to say to Clarissa with a smile, "Mrs. Jordan, please go in."
Clarissa nodded, took the lunch boxes from his hand, and walked in.
Anderson looked up at her.
She wore a pink dress, and the long skirt swirled around her ankles. Her coat and flat shoes were all of the same colour.
She looked gentler and more ladylike than usual.
He smiled, and said warmly, "Sit down for a while. I'll finish my work soon."
Clarissa nodded. She could see that he was really busy.
She sat on the sofa by the door obediently, picked up a magazine casually and read it.
In Anderson's office, there were usually financial or military magazines or newspapers. It could be seen that he was only interested in this aspect, but she actually saw an entertainment magazine under the coffee table.
The cover of the magazine was the first-line actress who had won many awards these years, and she was known as the most beautiful movie queen. Her name was Gabriela Levine.
In fact, Clarissa quite liked Gabriela.
It was because she was beautiful and her acting skills were good. She was not at the same level as those actresses who had huge fan bases but had poor acting skills.
Moreover, it was said that her family was distinguished and rich. In Flaucford, her family was so powerful.
Being an actress was just one of her dreams.
Therefore, there was no scandals or gossips about her, and the dirty things in the entertainment circle had nothing to do with her.
Nobody would not like such a perfect and beautiful actress.
Clarissa was looking at the magazine with great interest, while Anderson had put down the pen in his hand and stood up.
"What are you reading?"
He walked towards her.
Clarissa raised her head and smiled, waving the magazine in her hand.
"Entertainment magazine."
Anderson glanced at the cover of the magazine, and frowned slightly.
Clarissa sighed, "Tut. I saw nothing about entertainment in your office before. I thought you were not interested in these things. It seems that I was wrong! Do you also like Gabriela?"
With an expressionless face, Anderson went to the bathroom to wash his hands, and then said blandly, "No."
"Then why do you have a magazine about her?"
"Probably a stupid person put it here after reading it."
Anderson didn't seemed to want to talk more about this topic. After coming out of the bathroom, he sat opposite her, smelling the fragrance from the lunch boxes.
"What did you bring to me?"
Clarissa was instantly distracted by him. She put the magazine aside, and opened the lids of the lunch boxes.
"It's all your favorite. Penny specially made a lot of delicious food for you because you're very busy recently."
She opened lunch boxes one by one. The food inside was really delicious, and she had a good appetite just by smelling it.
Anderson put down bowls and chopsticks for her. When he washed his hands just now, he had unbuttoned his shirt.
At this time, his sleeves were half rolled up, revealing his forearms. He even looked particularly sexy and attractive when he was holding the bowl and chopsticks.
Clarissa filled his bowl with soup, and said, "Drink some soup to warm your stomach before eating."
Anderson nodded. Seeing that she was holding a small bowl of soup and sipping it, his eyes deepened.
"Why did you suddenly bring me meal today? Have you decided to be a virtuous wife?"
Clarissa was stunned and almost got choked by the soup.
She raised her eyes and glared at him, "Don't you like me being like this? Then I will change myself."
Anderson smiled.
"No, I like it very much."
Clarissa snorted.
Suddenly, Anderson said again, "But if these dishes are cooked by you, I will like them better."
Maybe Clarissa was too excited, she suddenly got choked.
She coughed and looked at him in surprise.
"Do you want to eat the dishes cooked by me?"
Anderson said blandly, "Isn't it normal for a wife to cook for her husband?"
Clarissa laughed awkwardly.
"Haha... I can cook for you, but I'm afraid you won't dare eat it."
Anderson paused.
He looked at her with his eyes full of affection.
"As long as it is something cooked by you, I will eat it."
Soon after, Anderson would knew that he was asking for trouble at this moment.
Clarissa smiled awkwardly, and didn't talk about this topic anymore.
After eating, she saw that Anderson seemed to have something to do, so she cleaned up the dishes and said, "You can work here, and I will go back by myself."
"Wait."
Anderson stopped her. He suddenly took out a box from the drawer and handed it to her.
Clarissa was stunned and reached out to take it.
When she opened it, she found that it was a brand new phone inside.
Her eyes lit up as she asked happily, "Is this for me?"
Anderson said, "Your last phone can no longer be used, and I have applied for a new phone card for you. The data in the previous phone has been copied to this new one. Do you need anything else?"
Clarissa turned on the phone in a hurry. After checking it, she found that not only the data had been copied, but all the photos had been transferred.
She was so happy.
"Thank you."
Anderson smiled.
"If you really want to thank me, stay here and wait for me to go back together, okay?"
He leaned close to her, wrapped his arm around her waist naturally, and pulled her into his arms.
Clarissa's face blushed unconsciously. Thinking that she had nothing to do after going home, she did not refuse him.
