Chapter 984 Surveying The Mine
They went shopping until the evening, then went to another high-end restaurant for dinner.
After dinner, Mr. Jenkins asked the group of people whether they wanted to go visit the night market or any entertainment venues.
However, Clarissa felt a little tired, so she refused.
When Mr. Jenkins saw this, he did not force them. Instead, he sent them back to the hotel.
He did not stay at the hotel. Since he came to Ashax Country often, he had his own house here and went back there at night.
Before leaving, Clarissa asked curiously, "When are we going to the mine?"
Mr. Jenkins smiled and replied, "We will go tomorrow. The mine is a little far from the city area. We won't be able to come back if we go there today. Furthermore, it's in a remote place. It will be dangerous for us to stay there. So, we will go there early tomorrow morning and then come back at night."
Upon hearing this, Clarissa nodded her head.
After Mr. Jenkins left, she went back to the room to do a simple wash up, lay down, and rest.
Early the next morning, Mr. Jenkins drove by to pick them up.
This time, he was driving a Lincoln limousine.
One car was just enough to fetch everyone. There was also a refrigerator and red wine in the car. Since the trip to the mine would take more than three hours, they could drink some wine and have fun to avoid boredom.
Since Clarissa was pregnant, of course, she did not drink any wine.
Anderson, Sierra, and Robert did not drink either.
In the end, only Mr. Jenkins and Chantel had a glass of wine each.
Throughout the journey to the mine, they chatted and laughed. Mr. Jenkins was a talkative person and was observant of people's body language. He introduced the local customs and practices to them while telling some harmless jokes to Chantel. The atmosphere was very warm.
It was not until noon that the car finally stopped.
They were getting out of the car and saw the desolate land in front of them. No single person was seen there, and the sun was shining above their heads as if they had arrived at a place isolated from the world.
It was Chantel's first trip to a place like this, and she was afraid.
She cowered to Anderson's side and asked, "Mr. Jenkins, where is the mine you mentioned? You aren't lying to us, are you?"
Mr. Jenkins smiled and said, "Miss Jordan, how can I lie to you? The location of the mine is usually located in a remote place. If it is near the urban area, it would have been discovered and dug long ago. The location is a little bit off, but it is near here. Once we climb over this hill, we can see the mine on the opposite side."
As he spoke, he pointed at a small hill in front.
Since the hillside did not have any pathway built yet, there was only a path made by human steps. The car could not get past it, so it stopped here.
Seeing this, Chantel looked up at Anderson.
Anderson turned to ask Clarissa, "Are you tired?"
Clarissa shook her head.
"Let's go and have a look."
She nodded again.
So, they began to climb over the hillside and headed for the opposite side.
After climbing over the hill, they saw a mine on the opposite side with a mine hole beneath it. There were dozens of workers working there.
A middle-aged man with sharp eyesight saw Mr. Jenkins and quickly ran over.
"Boss, you're back."
Mr. Jenkins smiled and nodded. "Let me introduce them to you. This is Mr. Jordan, and this is Mr. Jordan's wife, President Chapman. Over here is Mr. Lane, Mrs. Lane, and Miss Jordan."
Mr. Jenkins was very smart for he knew that Anderson's identity was not to be trifled with and that perhaps Anderson would not want others to know that he was here.
Therefore, when he introduced them, he didn't mention their full name.
When the worker heard this, he smiled and nodded, greeting each one of them.
Mr. Jenkins waved his hand and said, "All right, you may go and continue with your work. I'll take them around."
The man nodded and went back to work immediately. Mr. Jenkins reached out and said, "Mr. Jordan, please."
Anderson took Clarissa forward.
There was nothing to look at in the mine, except for some information, the surrounding geographical environment, and the things that were dug out. A surveyor was needed here to look at the other things.
Before Anderson came, he had already found a surveyor in Ashax Country. But, he was busy today. He would only come by tomorrow.
After Anderson told Mr. Jenkins this matter, Mr. Jenkins nodded in response.
"No problem. After all, Mr. Jordan needs to invest so much money. It's natural to find someone to study it carefully. When he comes tomorrow, you can ask him to contact me directly or let him contact me in the morning. It will be the same if I take him with me. Anyway, I drive here every morning."
Anderson nodded in agreement.
After making a tour in the area, Anderson went to the mine to take a look at the fresh jades that were dug up today.
There were many things that had not been cut open and could not be seen yet. However, from the looks of it, there had to be a lot of treasures inside.
After reading all these, he already had a rough idea in his mind.
So, he said to Mr. Jenkins, "After my worker comes tomorrow to see you, you can come and sign the contract with me if there isn't any problem."
Hearing this, Mr. Jenkins was overjoyed and nodded, "Okay, I understand."
He was happy because not only did he find a partner in this business, but also he managed to get the Jordan Family's assistance.
Any smart person would know that being able to do business with a capable person like Anderson would not only benefit the interest of the business but also for the long-term benefits.
Casting other matters aside, just the fact that he was doing business with Anderson would raise his social status and reputation by a stretch.
It was not that Anderson did not know what he was thinking about.
However, being in a high position, he would have already gotten used to the people around him depending on and looking up to him.
It would be normal for them to gain benefits from him.
As long as the other party could also bring him the same benefits, he did not mind working together.
Therefore, after Mr. Jenkins brought them back to the hotel, he did not say anything.
As for Chantel, even though she followed them around today, she still was not clear about what was happening. Even now, her mind was still muddled.
When she saw Anderson and Clarissa walking in front of them, she quickly ran up to them and asked, "Clarissa, have you seen the mine? Is there any problem?"
Anderson said faintly, "There shouldn't be any problems. We will wait until tomorrow when the surveyor comes and takes a look. Once we confirm that the ore inside is real, we can sign the contract."
Chantel was relieved and let out a sigh of relief, "Oh, that's good."
As she spoke, she suddenly became excited again.
"Anderson, you see, I brought you a big business this time, didn't I? Don't you think you should thank me?"
Anderson looked at her.
Clarissa smiled and asked, "What do you want, Aunt Chantel?"
Chantel smiled and said, "I heard that there is a good place in the Ashax Country called Club B-day. It's fun. I want to go and have fun at night."
