Chapter 999 Don't Care About Anyone

There were still drops of water on his hair after the shower. Compared with his usual meticulous appearance, he looked a little messy and handsome.
When he saw the kids pestering Clarissa, his face darkened, and he yelled, "Go play by yourself. Don't keep bothering your Mom."
Anne sat at the table and said seriously, "Daddy, Mommy has been with you for many days. Today, Mommy has to accompany us. You are an adult so you can't compete with us children."
When Anderson saw his daughter's sassy attitude, he couldn't help but laugh out of anger.
"Compete with you? She's my wife. What rights do you have to compete with me?"
In turn, Anne puffed out her cheeks. "Daddy, it's wrong of you to do this! She is also our Mommy."
"Humph!"
Suddenly, Anderson's face broke into a cold smile.
Clarissa couldn't help but laugh when she saw the two of them arguing until their faces turned red.
Then, she pulled Anderson's hand and said, "Alright, why are you arguing with the kids? I'll play with them for a while, and you can do your own things."
Hearing that, Anderson frowned. "But your body..."
"I'm fine."
At that moment, Clarissa's heart was filled with warmth, as she nudged him again and said, "Go and do your work."
When Anderson saw this, he felt helpless, and only then did he leave.
Clarissa played with the children for the whole morning. At noon, she received a phone call from Emmeline.
She was still worried about Emmeline's current situation.
Therefore, as soon as she picked up, she asked about her situation.
Emmeline's voice sounded a little low, "We have verified that the news is false. The jade that was unearthed is not the Jade of Heaven, but a very ordinary jade pendant."
Upon learning the news, Clarissa was slightly surprised, and at the same time, she felt a little distressed.
Of course, she knew what this news meant to Emmeline.
It was only three months away from the New Year.
Coby had asked them to locate the Jade of Heaven before the New Year, otherwise, he would cut off Emmeline's medicine.
But now, they had only found one.
At this rate, they need five more of them. They would definitely not be able to find all of them before the new year.
At the thought of that, Clarissa couldn't help but frown.
"Do you have any other news about it now?"
"There is one lead, but it needs to be confirmed. But something happened in Blink City, so we have to go back to take a look. We will check it out after that."
Clarissa nodded.
"Don't worry. Let's work together. We'll definitely find six of them before the new year."
Although Clarissa was still worried, she had to comfort her in the end.
Emmeline smiled.
"I know, thank you."
The two chatted for a while until it was time for lunch. Then Clarissa hung up the phone.
After hanging up the phone, she thought about it and sent a message to Lauren and Jameson, asking them to pay attention to the news Jade of Heaven.
Jameson and Lauren knew about Emmeline's illness.
After all, they were all there at the wedding, but they only knew that Emmeline was sick. As for what kind of illness it was, they were not aware of negotiation with Coby later on.
So when Lauren heard that Clarissa was looking for the Jade of Heaven, she even made fun of her.
"You believe in immortality'? If there really is such a thing, are you going to use it on your own or to give it to Anderson? Won't you be sad if one of you is alive when the other is dead?"
Clarissa felt a little helpless, but Emmeline's case was a secret, so without their permission, she couldn't say more.
So she only vaguely brushed off the comment and said, "It doesn't matter who I am giving it to. Anyway, you just need to keep an eye on the news for me."
With a smile, Lauren did not pursue the matter any further.
"Okay, I'll keep it in mind. I'll let you know if there's any news."
Clarissa nodded.
After hanging up the phone, she went to the company in the afternoon.
During this period of time, she and Anderson had gone to Ashax, and work had been piled up.
Several artists had made mistakes, and the Public Relations Department had made a few plans that needed her final say.
Hence, Clarissa had been busy the entire afternoon. It wasn't until 7:00 pm that Anderson finally came to pick her up from the company.
Anderson's heart ached as he looked at the tired woman in front of him.
"I've already told you that you should rest at home and accompany the children now that you are pregnant, but you don't want to listen to me. Why do you want to work so hard? Will the company disappear without you?"
Clarissa smiled. "I like working. Besides, this bit of fatigue is nothing. You didn't see how tired I was when I was in F Country."
When she mentioned about that, he paused suddenly.
Anderson's eyes darkened, but he hid it very quickly, so Clarissa didn't notice the change.
Following that, Clarissa turned to look at him. "By the way, is it Grandma Elicia's birthday in a month?"
Anderson nodded. "Yes."
"Last time, I heard from Grandma Matteo that she would like to go to F Country with grandpa to visit Elicia."
When Anderson heard that, he frowned again.
"That's what she said, but I'm worried about grandpa's health, so I'm still considering if I should let them go."
As he got older, Carlos's health had worsen.
His best friend Levine had passed away. So perhaps it was because his friends were leaving him one after another. In the past two years, Carlos became more reclusive and rarely went out. He didn't even care about the family's affairs anymore.
Fortunately, Matteo was by his side. Even though Matteo's health had not improved much in the past two years, she was still much better than Carlos.
She had been friends with Elicia since many years ago. This time, the reason why Matteo wanted to leave the country so badly was because she knew that at her age, they didn't have much time left to come together. That was why she was so stubborn.
But if she was going, Carlos would definitely not be able to stay at home alone, and he would definitely go with her.
However, his body couldn't stand the torture, so Anderson was worried.
After some thought, Clarissa suggested. "Obviously, we can't dismiss Grandma's wishes. If you are really worried, you can send a reliable medical team to go with them. Don't take a commercial plane. Take our own plane instead. When they get there, the doctors from the Ethanbez family will take care of them. It shouldn't be a problem."
Anderson nodded.
"That's what I think as well. If Grandma insists, we'll go with this plan."
Clarissa nodded.
The two of them did not speak again. When they returned home, Pattie had already asked the servants to make dinner.
Clarissa took the kids to wash their hands, then came over to have dinner.
Meanwhile, on the other end.
The castle was brightly lit, and Jara's face darkened as he looked at the news that his subordinates had just sent him.
Emmeline was sitting next to him, and her face did not look good as well. With a frown, she asked, "What does the Marsh family mean by this? The deadline of four months hasn't reached yet, and they are forcing us to do this?"
At that moment, Jara's face was darkened as he looked at Luca, who was standing in the living room.
