Chapter 166 Reach Old Age Together

Anderson glanced at her coldly.
Clarissa continued to tease him, "You have to follow me closely these days, so as not to be taken away by other women, and I can protect you, ha-ha."
After she finished speaking, she laughed, but Anderson was a little stunned.
He was a little helpless. As the president of the Jordan Group, he didn't expect that he would teased like this one day.
But he couldn't say a word.
Finally, he had no choice but to flick Clarissa's forehead, "Look at you! Alright, let's go! We have to go to the mountain after lunch."
They walked quickly in the direction of the manor together.
At noon, Anderson was cooking in the kitchen, and Clarissa consciously went over to help him wash vegetables and dishes. They looked like a happy couple.
After washing the vegetables, Clarissa had nothing to do, so she moved a small stool and sat at the kitchen door to watch Anderson cook.
She found that Anderson looked handsome no matter what he was doing. Even if his hair was messy and he was wearing an apron, he looked noble and charming.
His face was calm and his movements are skillful. Even the spatula looked so luxurious and expensive in his hand.
He looked like that he was cooking with a golden pot in a ritzy restaurant.
She smiled. When she was immersed in the fantasy, she suddenly heard a "bang" sound.
Clarissa was startled and jumped up from the stool. Then she saw that Anderson threw the lid to the pot in a hurry and then covered it, and the meat inside was being fried with a big noise.
Clarissa looked at him meaningfully, and saw a flash of relief on his face.
Alright!
She had thought too much. In fact, Anderson seldom cooked. He just braced himself and put the food ingredients together to fry them together according to his general knowledge and logical thinking ability.
After the meal was prepared, although it didn't look well, the taste was not bad. After lunch, they packed up and went out to the mountain.
It took an hour to drive to the mountain from the manor they lived. They took a taxi nearby and arrived at the foot of the mountain an hour later.
Sure enough, many tourists from all over the world gathered there. Clarissa and Anderson walked up the mountain together.
It was in the afternoon, and the sun was shining. It was not too far from the sea. The sea breeze blew across the plains and was right on their faces, which was very pleasant.
By the time they climbed halfway up the mountain, it was already four o'clock in the afternoon. Anderson always exercised, so he felt well, but Clarissa was so tired that she kept panting heavily.
"Can you hold on?" Anderson supported her, took a bottle of water from his backpack and handed it to her.
Clarissa took a few mouthfuls of water and nodded, "Yes."
She must climb up, and she wouldn't give up halfway and make people laugh at her.
Clarissa tried her best to climb up. Anderson followed behind her, because he wanted to protect and didn't want her to see the mocking expression in his eyes.
"Hey, what's over there?"
Clarissa suddenly straightened up and asked, pointing to a tree that was wrapped in red rope not far away.
Quite a few tourists were walking there. Anderson stopped to take a look and said, "I don't know. It seems that someone is preaching there."
Clarissa suddenly became interested, "Let's go and have a look."
When they went there, they saw a small poor.
Behind the poor was a big banyan tree covered with red wooden cards. In front of the tree sat a young novice monk in his twenties. He was wearing an extremely shabby robe, and he was sitting there and chanting with his legs crossed.
Clarissa didn't know what this meant, so she asked Anderson, "What is he doing?"
"Practicing Buddhism." Anderson said in a low voice.
"What?" Clarissa was slightly surprised. Seeing that she didn't understand, Anderson continued to explain to her.
"He is an ascetic monk. The Buddhist culture here is prosperous, and it is different from the Buddhist culture in Ascijan. They believe in Hinayana, and they cultivate their moral characters and minds. Many people became monks when they were young. With a pious heart for Buddha, they traverse the length and breadth of the land. Regardless of the weather and seasons, they never stop. They practice Buddhism and hope to attain Buddhahood as soon as possible."
Clarissa paused slightly, and then was suddenly enlightened.
She asked him, "Why there are so many red wooden cards?"
Anderson frowned slightly, "I don't know. Maybe people here see the monk and want to ask for a blessing. Do you see the soil under his seat? The surrounding soil is dry, but the soil under his feet is a little wet, and it has caved in. He should have been sitting here for a few days."
"A few days? Doesn't he eat, drink or sleep?"
Anderson shook his head, "I just know a little bit about this, and I don't know much about it."
Clarissa immediately flattered him with a smile, "Anyway, you know it better than me. How wise you are!"
Seeing her flattering look, Anderson shook his head helplessly, and they continued to walk up the mountain.
They didn't get to the top of the mountain until it was completely dark.
Clarissa was so tired that she didn't want to move at all. Anderson took her to a restaurant on the top of the mountain to eat. After eating, she regained some strength.
"Miss, sir, do you want a love lock? Go outside and tie a love lock!"
At this time, an old woman with gray hair came over and sold the locks. There were so many locks of different sizes and shapes on her clothes.
Clarissa asked curiously, "Love lock? What is it?"
"Write down your names on the lock and hang it on the marriage bridge outside, and you will live together forever and never be apart."
Clarissa's eyes lit up slightly.
She turned and asked Anderson, "Shall we buy one?"
Anderson nodded. Then Clarissa took one from the old lady and asked, "How much is it?"
"Twenty dollars."
Anderson paid her one hundred dollars and asked her to to keep the change.
The old woman was so happy and grateful, so she gave them a small lock, saying that if they hung it on the marriage bridge, they would have many children and grandchildren.
The accepted her kindness and took it. After paying the bill, they walked together to the marriage bridge the old lady mentioned.
After walking for about half a kilometre, they finally saw a soft bridge which straddled the dried-up waterfall.
The bridge was old. It was laden with love locks of different sizes. Clarissa rushed over and saw that there were names and even love words on those locks.
"It turns out that we can do like this. It's really fresh!"
Anderson smiled slightly, walked over and asked her, "Where do you want to hang it?"
Clarissa pointed to a place, "Just there! It is not easy to be touched, and the lock will be kept longer."
Seeing this, Anderson took out a pen from his pocket and wrote their names on the lock.
