Chapter 63 Let Her Show Him Respect
Clarissa was stunned. When she looked up, she saw Anderson's handsome face.
She was a little surprised and wanted to sit up in a hurry.
However, the space in the car was limited and he was tall. She was held on his laps. When she straightened up, her head hit the roof of the car in an instant.
"Be careful!"
Fortunately, Anderson reacted quickly and put his hand over her head to protect her.
Clarissa bumped into his hand, and then Anderson pressed her on his laps and let her sit down. He said in a low voice, "Don't move. We're get home soon."
Clarissa had no choice but to stay still. She asked with confusion, "Was I asleep just now?"
"Yes, you seemed to have caught a cold. I'll ask Pattie to make some ginger soup for you when we get home."
Clarissa frowned and raised her hand to touch her forehead.
It was a little hot indeed.
When the car arrived at home, they got out of the car. Anderson ordered the chief to cook ginger soup and asked her to go back the bedroom immediately to take a hot bath.
There was a heating system in the house. Taking a hot bath could warm herself up, so Clarissa did as he said obediently.
Unexpectedly, as soon as she went upstairs, Anderson heard a scream.
"Ah!"
Anderson's expression changed, and he went upstairs in a hurry.
The bedroom door was open. The bathroom door was closed, and the light inside was on.
Anderson frowned uneasily and knocked on the door.
"Clarissa, what's the matter?"
A moment later, Clarissa's muffled voice came from inside, "I'm fine! Don't worry about me!"
Just by listening to her voice, Anderson knew that she was bearing the pain.
His face darkened.
"Open the door!"
Clarissa didn't answer him again.
There was a faint rustling sound came from inside.
Anderson became more and more worried. He couldn't care about anything else. He found the key and opened the door.
At the moment he opened the door, he opened his eyes wide in surprise.
He felt really helpless.
Wrapped in a bath towel, Clarissa fell to the ground with bubbles all over her head. She lay next to the bathtub in an extremely twisted posture.
Clarissa reached out her hand to rub her legs, but she immediately covered her face when she saw him. Her expression was so awkward.
Anderson walked in.
"Mrs. Jordan, are you performing a bath show?"
He squatted down beside her.
"Get out! Get out quickly!"
Clarissa felt so ashamed. She didn't even cover her face. She raised her head and wanted to push him away.
Anderson took advantage of this and grabbed her wrist. He saw that one of her legs was lying there in a strange and straight posture, and then he reached out to grab her ankle.
"Is your leg twitching?"
Clarissa didn't want to admit it, but she nodded.
She turned her head with embarrassment and didn't look at him.
Anderson's eyes darkened. He carried her in his arms and put her on the sink beside him.
Clarissa wrapped herself with the bath towel in a hurry.
However, Anderson didn't do anything else. He just held her ankle and massaged it.
Unexpectedly, he was quite skilled in doing massage. The force he used was neither light nor heavy. Soon, one of Clarissa's legs, which was twitching and couldn't move, became much more comfortable.
"Do you feel better?"
He asked softly.
Clarissa nodded.
The bathroom light was turned on, and the temperature inside was extremely high. Clarissa was only wrapped in a bath towel. She bit her lip, looking a little awkward, shy and ashamed. For some reason, Anderson felt a little thirsty.
He straightened up and placed his hands on both of her sides.
"Mrs. Jordan, next time, don't seduce me when you're sick, okay? I can't bear to have sex with a patient."
Clarissa's face, which was a little red, blushed in an instant.
"Anderson! When did I seduce you?"
Anderson laughed.
"Don't get too excited, or the bath towel will drop to the ground."
As he spoke, his eyes were fixed on her chest for a moment meaningfully.
Clarissa immediately covered her chest more tightly with her hands.
Anderson smiled more brightly. But he didn't flirt with her anymore because she was sick. He carried her back to the bathtub and then turned around to leave.
After taking a shower, Clarissa came out and saw a bowl of ginger soup and two pills in the bedroom.
Sitting on the sofa, Anderson pointed at the soup and pills and then said, "Eat them. You must drink up the soup."
Clarissa frowned.
She hated drinking this kind of spicy soups the most since she was a child.
She didn't even like to eat spicy food.
She glanced at Anderson from the corner of her eyes. Anderson did not look up, but said blandly, "I don't mind feeding you personally."
Clarissa's heart skipped a beat.
She picked up the bowl in a hurry, pinched her nose and drank it up.
After that, she ate the pills.
It was only then that Anderson was satisfied.
After taking the bowl to the kitchen, he came back, pressed her on the bed and covered her with a quilt.
"Have a good sleep. You'll be fine tomorrow."
Clarissa's head was so dizzy that she had no strength to say anything else. Soon, she fell asleep.
When she woke up the next day, she felt much better.
Anderson had gotten up and was waiting for her at the dinning room downstairs.
After Clarissa went downstairs, she greeted Pattie who was bringing her breakfast, and said with a smile, "Pattie, thanks for the ginger soup you made last night. I feel much better today."
Pattie smiled and said, "No worries."
Anderson looked at her coldly.
He was the one who ordered Pattie to make ginger soup. Why didn't she thank him?
Clarissa deliberately ignored the unhappy expression in his eyes and sat opposite him.
Pattie brought her breakfast. She thanked her with a smile, and looked at Anderson provocatively.
Anderson didn't speak.
He thought, "Does she become more and more reckless because she thinks that I won't do anything to her?"
He felt that it was necessary for him to let her show him some respect!
After breakfast, they went out together.
Clarissa was going to work in Energence International Crop. When she went out, she saw David standing next to the car door.
She smiled and greeted David, "Good morning, David!"
"Good morning, Mrs. Jordan."
David smiled and opened the car door for her, "Get in the car, please."
Clarissa turned to look at Anderson and said with a smile, "Thanks, but I'll drive my own car."
"Are you sure that your car is at home?"
Anderson's voice came from behind.
Clarissa was stunned.
Only then did she remember that she had parked the car downstairs the Jordan Group last night, and then she came back by Anderson's car, so her car was not at home.
There were a lot of cars in the garage, but none of them belonged to her.
She felt a little embarrassed. Finally, she got on the car helplessly under David's kind gaze.
Energence International Crop was next to the Jordan Group.
Clarissa asked David to stop the car when they were so far away from the company.
She opened the car door and got off the car. Then she patted her wrinkled pants and said with a smile, "Thank you! I can walk to the company from here. You can go now!"
Anderson looked at her, but there was no expression on his face.
He ordered David to drive to the Jordan Group.
Clarissa breathed a sigh of relief.
It was her first time to work in Energence International Crop, so she didn't want anyone to know her relationship with Anderson. She didn't want to cause any bad effects.
She walked to the company. Although it was her first day at work, she could omit lots of process, because she had familiarized herself with the personnel in the department yesterday.
At eight o'clock in the morning, she held a meeting in the department.
