Chapter 609 Forgot The Password

Sneering, Forbos replied, "Of course, I like the most valuable item. Do you really think I'm collecting it for fun?"
With a smile, Evelyn said, "Well, it's very simple. Things like jade pendants, or paintings are quite valuable, and it's easy to carry. You can have a look by then."
Suddenly, Forbos felt that today's Evelyn was a little strange.
She was being too obedient.
She was obedient that it made him feel slightly unreal.
But it was also true that because of the current situation, Evelyn might not dare to disobey him.
However, she was so active in telling him where her collection was, and even invited him to take it. She also asked him what he preferred and suggested he should take something lighter.
She must be out of her mind!
Looking at Evelyn again, Forbos had become more suspicious.
However, it seemed that Evelyn didn't notice it at all. She was so focused on driving, as if she was just giving a casual suggestion and didn't think too much about it.
Just when Forbos was being restless and feeling uneasy.
Suddenly, Evelyn exclaimed and pointed to a retail shop not far away.
"They sell suitcases over there. Do you want to buy one?"
Immediately, Forbos turned to look at the store. They were not in the city, and there were very few pedestrians around. The store was not big, and there were only two shop assistants.
But he still looked up vigilantly, and as expected, he saw the surveillance camera.
Turning his head coldly, he pressed the knife against her waist a little harder as he gritted his teeth and said, "Don't talk nonsense! Keep driving!"
However, Evelyn curled her lips and muttered. "You don't know how to appreciate people's kindness."
After that, she really stopped talking and drove silently.
About twenty minutes later, the car stopped at the villa area.
Pointing to a villa not far in front of them, Evelyn said, "Over there. Do you want to go by yourself or should I take you in?"
Then, Forbos looked left and right vigilantly, and because it was Evelyn who brought him in, the guards did not suspect anything.
However, it was a high-grade villa area, and the security facilities were perfect.
Hence, he was not sure what would happen if he went in alone, and left Evelyn alone in the car.
Therefore, he decided to bring her with him.
With the knife against Evelyn's waist, Forbos shouted in a low voice. "You will go in with me."
Raising her eyebrows, Evelyn didn't refuse, and went with him.
Then, Forbos pushed her to the door and instructed her to open it.
At the moment, Evelyn was in trouble.
In truth, she did not know the password here.
This wasn't her home at all.
When she was drunk the last time, Marty brought her to this place, and it was where she woke up the next day.
Earlier at the abandoned factory, she had lied to Forbos so he would bring her out, but that was all nonsense.
Initially, she thought she would try to use her last resort to save herself, but she didn't expect Forbos to agree.
But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't remember the password here.
Last time, Marty told her that this would be her home in the future. After her mother recovered, she needed a better environment to recuperate. This place was comfortable and quiet, which was very suitable for recuperation.
At that time, she didn't care much about it, thinking that she might not necessarily agree to move here.
So when Marty told her the password, she didn't keep it in mind.
Now it was awkward!
Seeing that she had been standing still, Forbos's face darkened.
"What are you doing? Why aren't you opening the door?"
Frozed, Evelyn smiled awkwardly.
"Erm... sorry, I forgot the password. Can you let me make a phone call and ask?"
With his eyes wide opened, he looked at her in disbelief.
"Didn't you say that this is your home? How could you forget the password of your own house?"
Upon listening to his question, Evelyn forced a smile. "I travel often so I don't come home as much. Besides, I have to stay in my apartment for a few days to deal with you. So after back and forth, I forgot the password."
"Furthermore, it's too big for me to live here alone. It's inconvenient sometimes, so it's more like a warehouse. I seldom come back. Thus, it's normal that I can't remember the password."
However, why would Forbos trust her so easily?
Upon hearing her explanation, he looked at her coldly and sneered. "Did you just found a random home to lie to me?"
At once, Evelyn shook her head.
"Of course not. Do you look like someone who can be fooled so easily? Besides, this is really my home. I even know the color of the carpet inside. If you don't believe me, I'll tell you now, and you can go in and verify it later."
These words made Forbos somewhat believe in her.
With suspicion, he looked at Evelyn, and asked, "Who do you want to call?"
Pursing her lips, Evelyn said, "My boyfriend."
After that, she added, "He's been on a business trip abroad recently, so he probably doesn't know that I'm missing yet. If I call him, he won't be aware of it."
"If you really don't trust me, I can put him on speaker. If anything happens, you can stab me to death directly. I have no regrets."
After giving it some thought, Forbos felt that although this possessed a certain risk, it was not a big problem.
After all, he was abroad. Even if he noticed something wrong, he wouldn't be able to save her from afar anyway.
When he was dealing with those people in the afternoon, he had already arranged the escape route.
Now, he just needed to go in and take the money, then he would drive directly to the dock.
Twenty minutes would be enough for him to finish this mission.
For someone who was abroad, he would not be able to do anything in twenty minutes.
As he thought about this, he was relieved.
However, he had no idea that it was this phone call that would betray him.
Because he didn't know the identity of the boyfriend that Evelyn talked about, he wouldn't expect that the man would be the second son of the Blaine family. In Flaucford, he was really powerful. He could arrange for someone to come within five minutes, let alone twenty minutes.
However, at this moment, Forbos did not even think of this possibility.
The huge fortune inside was tempting him, and there was no going back for him.
Previously, those people took advantage of him and threatened him to give them 10 million dollars before they were willing to let him go.
He had no choice but to think of ways to raise money.
After knowing that he had an adopted daughter who was a celebrity, they laid their eyes on Evelyn and targeted her.
In truth, Forbos was not fully willing to kidnap Evelyn.
After all, if he followed his original idea, even if he didn't sign the divorce agreement with Evelyn's mother, there was no need to kidnap her and ruin their relationship to this extent.
And neither of these choices were good for him.
