Chapter 596 He Looked so Much Like Him
After turning on the lights in the walkway, Marty changed her into slippers and then carried her inside the house.
After some time, Evelyn had sobered up quite a bit.
Looking at the unfamiliar surroundings, she asked in a daze, "Where am I?"
Marty replied with a blank expression, "It's your home."
"My home?"
A look of surprise appeared on Evelyn's face.
The next second, she suddenly realized that she wasn't being helped up by Carrie but a man instead.
However, the man before her looked so handsome and had such good-looking eyes. But why did he look so familiar?
With a puzzled look on her face, she reached out and pinched his face.
Wait, something wasn't right!
Wasn't she just drinking? How did she arrive here?
Where was she?
Also, who was this before her? Why did this guy look so much like that bloke, Marty?
At the thought of that man, Evelyn's face turned sour.
After pinching his face, she started pinching his nose too before she scoffed, "Did you think I would believe you just because you got plastic surgery to look like Marty?"
"Haha! And you said this is my home? Bah! How can I not know what my own home looks like? Why don't you do some research before you try and cheat me? Did you really think I was a fool and so easy to cheat?"
With one hand resting on her waist, Evelyn continuously pointed at Marty's chest.
She looked up slightly with an arrogant look on her face.
It was as if to say she had seen more than he'd think, so it won't be as easy for him to cheat her.
With a frown on his face, Marty didn't know where she learned to behave like such a ruffian.
At that moment, he was too lazy to bicker with her or convince her so he pointed to the bathroom upstairs and asked, "So do you want me to wash you up or are you going to do it yourself?"
With a puzzled look on her face, Evelyn toward the direction he pointed in a daze.
Then, she asked something she shouldn't have asked tonight.
"What are we washing?"
Marty smiled faintly.
His smile was a little cold, but also a bit wicked.
Then, he slowly unbuttoned his coat and took off his suit.
As he smirked, he gently laughed, "Looks like you need my help washing."
After being stunned for a moment, Evelyn didn't have time to react before she felt her world turn upside down. The next second, she was being carried up and moved toward the bathroom upstairs.
A minute later, a woman's scream echoed from the bathroom upstairs.
"Ah! Marty! You bastard!"
"Didn't you just say you didn't know me? So you do now?"
"Boo hoo... I'm going to drown. Save me."
As the sound of running water sounded periodically, he pinched her chin and asked, "Look carefully now, who am I?"
After being choked from the water, Evelyn's eyes were red and she looked pitiful right now.
With a pout, she reluctantly said, "Marty."
"I'm your man, remember?"
Hearing that, Evelyn was about to cry.
However, she still nodded obediently. "Yes, I remember."
"That's a good girl."
Naturally, that night was absurd.
The next morning.
Evelyn was awakened by the pain on her body.
She was in pain from all over. She felt soreness from her neck to her arms to her waist, and all the way to her thighs. She felt as if she was run over by a truck.
With a frown, she rubbed her neck as she sat up.
When she took a look around, she realized she was in an unfamiliar room with luxurious decorations and warm colored surroundings that were delicately done from the decoration to the furniture. It seemed like the kind of style a woman would go for.
As the morning sun shone through the white curtains, it covered the room with a warm golden light that provided the resident some warmth.
At that moment, she frowned as she tried to figure out where she was.
After all, her memory had disappeared along with the alcohol last night.
The last memory she had was of her calling Carrie to come pick her up.
Aside from that, she couldn't remember anything after that.
Hence, she naturally couldn't remember that it was Marty who picked her up and sent her here.
So... where was she?
As Evelyn curiously got out of bed, she looked around the whole room. When she appeared before a mirror, she suddenly realized that she was no longer wearing the outfit that she was wearing when she went out for dinner last night.
Since who knows when, she had already changed into silk pajamas.
The pajamas were very well-made and it hung on her as if she had nothing on. Yet, the cutting of the pajamas looked pretty and even after a full night's sleep, there wasn't a hint or crease on it.
However, Evelyn was stunned.
At this moment, the door of the bedroom was pushed open while Marty walked in.
"You're awake?"
Seeing this, Evelyn was completely shocked. She only responded when she turned around to clearly see that it was Marty.
But then, she let out a sigh of relief.
"It's you? Where is this place? Why am I here?"
After staring at her for a while, she realized that she got blackout drunk yesterday and suddenly found it quite funny.
"What do you think?"
"Me?"
Evelyn was even more confused.
Why did he want her to say?
How could she know where this was if she couldn't remember anything?
However, looking at Marty's eyes, it seemed that she should know where she was.
What... what the hell was going on?
She was completely confused by him. So, when Marty saw her like this, he just laughed.
Without continuing this topic, he put a new set of clothes on the bed and said, "Get changed and come down to eat."
After that, he just turned around and walked out.
Evelyn was stunned by his series of actions. By the time she realized what was going on, Marty had already left.
He even closed the door for her thoughtfully.
She frowned. For some reason, she felt that he was being a little weird today somehow.
But she couldn't tell what was so off about him.
After taking at the clothes on the bed, she walked over and picked them up.
The clothes were brand new and was probably just bought not too long ago. It was of a very famous international brand and the design suits her a lot. Of course, the size was perfect as well.
After changing into the new set of clothes, Evelyn tidied herself up and walked out of the room.
Downstairs, in the dining room.
Marty was already sitting at the table and it was filled with all kinds of breakfast.
There were all kinds of cuisine available and there were even sandwiches and cakes.
Evelyn could have anything she wanted to eat.
When Evelyn went downstairs and saw the breakfast on the table, she asked in surprise, "Did you buy all these?"
Marty glanced at her and said in a cold voice, "Aria sent them over."
"Oh," Evelyn said.
Come to think of it, Marty had been so used to being pampered all these while, how could he possibly have gone out and bought all this on his own?
Since there was an assistant he could order around, he would definitely order his assistant to do his bidding.
Right now, she didn't really bother figuring out what happened last night. After all, she could guess as much. It was most likely that she got drunk and bumped into him last night so he brought her home.
And this was just one of his many residences.
