Chapter 878 Fulfil Her Wish
Emmeline nodded and didn't seem to mind. "Go ahead."
Yunne then walked out of the store, holding the phone.
As she walked away, Emmeline felt a twinge of tenderness and affection in her heart as she gazed at Yunne's slim back.
Actually, why was she so nice to Yunne?
Emmeline believed that, aside from the fact that Yunne had done everything she could to take care of her throughout this time, it was also because she was lovely.
In fact, there was one more reason. She thought Yunne was somewhat similar to Keira.
They were all young girls who looked like blooming flowers. They were both strong-willed at such a young and attractive age. They were, nevertheless, born in the mud. They were radically different from her in that they were full of optimism in their hearts.
However, Keira had already passed away.
Keira had sacrificed herself for Emmeline before she could be nice to her.
Therefore, her emotions were stirring up.
Sometimes when Emmeline stared at Yunne's slim physique, she seemed to see Keira through her.
She thought that there were some things she would never be able to make up for.
So, why not let the other girls who somewhat resembled Keira live happier?
This was also an indirect way for her to atone for Keira's death.
Emmeline's thoughts wandered off into the distance. At this point, the clerk had taken the outfit.
"Miss, would you like to try it on now?" she said, politely and respectfully.
Emmeline shook her head and replied, "No, it's not for me. It's for my sister. She went out to answer the phone, so please set it aside first."
The clerk had noticed that the girl standing next to her appeared uneasy. She appeared to be from a little town at a first impression. As a result, the clerk mistook Yunne for one of her servants.
Now, after listening to what she said, she understood Yunne was Emmeline's sister.
Her smile grew a little brighter, and she nodded with a smile. "Alright."
About three or four minutes later, Yunne came back.
Emmeline could still see a tinge of gloominess in her eyes when she returned, despite her best efforts to retain the smile on her face.
Emmeline couldn't help but frown when she saw this. "What's the matter?"
Yunne shook her head.
"Nothing. It's just... a call from my family."
Her smile seemed a little forced. She tapped her forehead and added, "It's nothing. Don't worry about it."
Emmeline frowned slightly. As far as she knew, Yunne was an orphan and had no family members. Was Yunne referring to the orphanage?
However, Emmeline did not give it much thought. She patted Yunne's shoulder and said, "Don't overthink it. Let's talk about it afterward."
Then, she motioned to the dress on the side and said, "Try it on."
Yunne nodded.
The clerk took the dress and led her to the fitting room.
After Yunne entered the fitting room, Emmeline was bored. So, she continued to shop in the store.
The bodyguards that accompanied them would not, of course, enter the store. Otherwise, they would affect the business and make everyone uncomfortable.
They didn't dare to go too far, though. They had been standing outside the door the entire time. This way, they could rush in as soon as there was any commotion inside.
Emmeline wandered around for a while but couldn't find anything she liked. When she noticed the two clerks following her, she waved her hand and said, "Go ahead and do your work. Don't worry about me. I'll take a look around."
When they saw this, they grinned and then said, "Okay, if you have any needs, please call us at any moment."
"Alright."
Emmeline nodded, and then the two left.
After they left, she turned around and walked to the door.
She came to a halt as she noticed Rudy standing near the door with a group of bodyguards. He was keeping a wary eye on the pedestrians around him.
At the same time, he caught sight of the store out of the corner of his eye.
Perhaps seeing Emmeline standing at the door, he thought she had something to tell him, so he hurried over.
"Miss Illington, what's wrong?"
He asked in a deep voice.
Emmeline looked at Rudy and noticed that he was tall and good-looking. He didn't have a particularly strong or thin physique.
His thick black eyebrows showed a kind of heroic spirit, and his serious demeanor at work made him exceedingly appealing.
No wonder Yunne had a crush on him!
She chuckled and said, "Nothing. It's just that you've been standing there all the time. Thank you for your hard work."
Rudy was stunned. He probably didn't expect her to say this, so he grinned, a little embarrassed.
"It isn't a problem. It's our duty, after all."
He was a man who wasn't adept at speaking. So, he was at a loss for words after.
As a result, he stood there and scratched his head dully.
Seeing this, Emmeline suddenly thought of something.
She chuckled. "Since you're here, you can do me a favor."
"Miss Illington, feel free to tell me what to do," Rudy responded swiftly, his face solemn.
Emmeline laughed and added, "You don't have to be so serious. I just want you to check out a dress."
"What?"
Rudy probably had never thought Emmeline would come to him for help one day.
When Emmeline noticed that he was stunned, she furrowed her brows and questioned, "What's wrong? Are you unwilling to do so?"
Rudy was immediately ashamed, and then he became flustered. He didn't know what to reply at that time.
After a long while, he stuttered, "No, it's just that... I..."
He didn't even know how to put his hands down. After a long time, he managed to say a complete sentence.
"Miss Illington, I'm a guy. I don't know how to appreciate women's clothing. I... I may not be able to help you with this."
Emmeline responded with a smile, "It doesn't matter. Just tell the truth. Sometimes we can't tell, and only men can decide if something looks good or not."
Rudy's heart beat faster as a result of her words.
For some reason, Jara's cold and stern face suddenly surfaced in his mind.
He shuddered and tried to decline, but Emmeline had already lost her cool and pulled him in.
"Okay, okay. You're a grown-up man. All I ask from you is to check a dress out, and yet you're still so hesitant. It's not like I'm going to devour you anyway."
After that, he was dragged into the store directly.
Rudy said nothing more.
"Mr. Holland, I have no intention of doing so. I have nothing on my mind and dare not do anything. Miss Illington made me do it."
"Don't be jealous and blame me later."
Rudy silently prayed in his heart. He had no idea that the dress Emmeline had requested him to assist with was actually Yunne's.
At this moment, inside the fitting room.
Yunne sat down, and the dress that should have been on her right now had been set to the side.
