Chapter 469 Throwing Herself At Him

The atmosphere on the table was silent. Clarissa had been quietly eating, with no expression on her face.
After a while, she put down the cutlery and said nonchalantly, "I'm full. Please enjoy yourselves."
After that, she got up and prepared to leave.
However, someone suddenly grabbed her hand. Anderson also put down his cutlery and said, "We'll leave together."
Clarissa raised her eyebrows.
Charmaine was seated across from them. She had been busy taking care of them, so she hadn't had time to eat.
At this time, the two hosts both left their seats, so she felt a little awkward. She didn't know whether she should continue eating or not.
Clarissa smiled and said, "Charmaine, I'm sorry. You've been so busy making lunch for us for such a long time and haven't had time to eat. I get tired very easily after I'm pregnant, so I let Anderson accompany me to rest first. You don't mind being here alone, do you?"
Charmaine forced a smile and replied, "I don't mind."
"Good to hear that."
Clarissa turned around and left. Anderson helped her up the stairs and returned to their bedroom.
As soon as she entered the bedroom, Clarissa said directly, "I don't like her."
Anderson smiled and helped her sit on the bed. He said indifferently, "I don't like her either."
Clarissa looked up at him and frowned.
"She's so cunning. If it weren't for Old Madam Jordan and your mother's sake, I really don't wish to entertain her."
Anderson pondered for a moment.
"Do you want me to go downstairs and kick her out?"
Clarissa was speechless.
She remained silent for two seconds before she waved her hand in annoyance.
"Forget it! After all, she is still your cousin and Old Madam Jordan has her back. Although Old Madam Jordan may not necessarily say anything, if words are spread to her hometown, people might think that Old Madam Jordan and we were bullying her and that we were heartless. It will make us look bad."
Anderson laughed in a low voice. He squatted down in front of her and helped her to take off her shoes.
He helped her to lean against the head of the bed and kissed her forehead before saying, "I guess her visit is only for today. When she visits again, just tell her that there is nobody at home. She won't come here anymore after a few times."
Clarissa nodded and closed her eyes.
"I'm a little tired. I want to take a nap for a while."
"Well, go ahead. I'll stay here to keep you company."
"All right."
Clarissa quickly dozed off. Anderson held her hand until she fell asleep and tucked her hand under the blanket. Then, he got up and left.
Anderson did not go downstairs. Instead, he went to the study.
He scanned the books on the bookshelves before he picked up a history book to read.
As soon as he walked out of the study, Anderson saw a graceful figure coming towards him.
He could not help but frown.
"Anderson, is Clarissa sleeping?"
There was no expression on his face. He looked at Charmaine who had a soup bowl in her hand.
Anderson had thought that she would leave on her own after lunch, but much to his surprise, she was still there.
He said indifferently, "She's asleep. What's the matter?"
"Nothing. I saw that you didn't eat much at noon. Just now, I have prepared desserts for you. It's good for your health and it is most suitable to drink it for afternoon tea..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Anderson interrupted her.
"There's no need for that. I'm not interested in desserts."
After that, he walked past her and was about to go out.
However, Charmaine suddenly took two quick steps and stopped him.
"Anderson!"
Anderson frowned slightly.
"Is there anything else?"
"I.. I..."
Overwhelmed by his strong presence, Charmaine stuttered, unable to say a word, as she blushed.
Moments later, she said, "Anderson, I saw that you ate a lot of nourishing and heaty dishes at lunch. The weather is getting cold and you'll get sick easily. Therefore, you'd better drink this bowl of soup."
As Anderson's gaze swept across the bowl of soup in her hand, a cold glint flashed across his eyes.
"You already know that the weather is getting cold, yet you still prepared such a nourishing and heaty meal for us? And now, you are telling me to drink the soup to cool myself down. Don't you have anything better to do?"
Anyone who knew Anderson would know that he was a direct person who never beat around the bush.
But she didn't expect that he would be so frank.
His words were straightforward and cold, embarrassing her.
It was the first time that Charmaine had been treated this way, so she was a little embarrassed.
"Anderson, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it. I just want to do better..."
Charmaine looked flustered and humble, like a cute little bunny who had done something wrong.
Although Charmaine's beauty did not stand out among the rest, her appearance could be considered to be above average among a group of young girls.
In particular, her gentle and piteous temperament was a well-liked image of a lot of men.
Any other man would not bear to chide her under such circumstances.
On the contrary, he would probably try to comfort her so that she would not blame herself too much.
However, Anderson who was standing in front of her just threw her a cold glance, and then he didn't say anything more. He just walked past her and left.
"You don't have to come here anymore if it's not necessary. Clarissa is in good health. There's no need for you to take care of her."
Charmaine shuddered.
Seeing that Anderson was about to leave, she made up her mind. She gritted her teeth and suddenly put down the soup bowl in her hand. Then without warning, she rushed over and reached out from behind to wrap her arms around his waist.
"Anderson!"
Almost in the next second, Charmaine was pushed away forcefully.
However, how could she give up just like that? She threw herself at him while crying and begging him.
"Anderson! I beg you, please help me! You're the only one that I can turn to now. If you don't help me, I will die. I beg you."
Anderson couldn't bear it any longer and shouted, "Let go of me!"
"No! If you don't help me, I won't let you go. Anderson, Clarissa has been pregnant for three months. You are so young, don't you have needs too? Let me help you? I can..."
Upon hearing her explicit and shameless words, Anderson couldn't believe his own ears.
An absolute rage welled up in his chest. With a livid face, he shook her off.
He then turned around and looked at Charmaine who fell to the ground with a gloomy face. He gnashed his teeth and said. "Did you come here just for this?"
Charmaine didn't reply and only cried. Her v-neck dress, after a few struggles, was exposing half of her porcelain skin.
Anderson felt the veins on his forehead throb. He couldn't hide the disgust and disdain in his eyes.
He roared angrily, "Pattie!"
At this time, Pattie was busy in the backyard and could not hear him. Anderson saw that no one responded, but he strode down stairs to find Pattie by himself.
However, Charmaine on the ground suddenly got up and hugged him from behind again.
"Please don't go! Anderson, I like you. Do you know how much I like you? In the past, I used to think that I was not good enough for you, but it was not until you got married that I realized that you didn't care about that at all.
"Clarissa's social standard is even lower than mine. So why can't I be your woman if she can? Anderson, please let me stay here! I will be a good girl. I will definitely do a better job in pleasing you than Clarissa."
