Chapter 580 A Coincidence at the Art Exhibition
In a short while, she successfully unlocked the password.
As soon as she downloaded the email, she would be able to see what was inside.
On the document, she saw some detailed information about the introduction of the Icarus Association and the situation of the people involved when Mark died.
There were many too many incidents. If she was to list out to the suspicious ones, the search area would be really big.
However, the person who sent this email was obviously an expert at investigating this kind of thing. Therefore, there were no other suspects on it who were suspicious. Only a few people who were closely related to the death of Mark at that time were circled.
As for the rest of the people, Clarissa chose to ignore them. Finally, she had her eyes on one of them.
The man looked sallow and thin. He was not tall; at most 1.75 meters to 1.74 meters. He was wearing a black jacket, with a flat-cut hair, and his face was a little pale.
His face was emaciated, and with the facial features of an ordinary person from Ascijian, he didn't look particularly outstanding or ugly. He seemed to the kind that could be invisible as soon as he blended into the crowd.
The only thing that stood out was that pair of eyes.
The pair of eyes was really too special. Although he was very thin, the eyes did not seem to be unhealthy at all. Instead, it looked energized and sharp, as if they were like the eyes of the eagles flying in the sky. The kind that would frighten someone with just a glance.
Suddenly, Clarissa had an intuition.
She seemed to have seen that pair of eyes somewhere before.
Although she couldn't think of it, when she looked directly into the eyes on the screen, she was sure of it.
They were so familiar. It was as if, a long time ago, she had once looked straight into this pair of eyes. On top of that, she seemed to have interacted with them before.
When on earth did this happen?
With this thought in mind, she frowned. For some reason, she felt a slight headache.
After she thought about it for a long time, there was no conclusion.
Finally, Clarissa shook her head feebly, taking a deep breath, and got rid of the mild headache.
Dragging the mouse, she continued to read.
It was clearly stated that this person had a lot to do with the death of Mark.
At that time, a passerby, who was an old man, saw this person came out from the place where Mark lived.
And a few minutes after he came out, someone went up and found Mark's body.
In short, if there was no other evidence or any proof of an accident, it was very likely that this person was the murderer of Mark.
Knitting her brows, Clarissa noted down the leads attentively and analyzed them.
As she thought about it, she looked at the time again, and estimated that Anderson had not arrived yet. Still, she forwarded the email to him, so when he got off the plane, he should be able to see it immediately.
After doing everything, she turned off the computer, and let out a sigh of relief while sitting.
Then, she got up, and stretched her body that was slightly stiff at the moment, and went downstairs.
At noon, Clarissa and Anne had dinner at home.
After the meal, they hopped on the car, and set off with the driver.
The children's art exhibition was held in the city center.
There were a few associations for teenagers over there. Although Anne didn't go, she was very familiar with them because she had a classmate there.
After handing in the tickets, Clarissa and Anna went to the exhibition.
Initially, she thought that it was only a simple exhibition, but she didn't expect that she would meet two familiar people here.
They were Marty and Evelyn.
At the same time, Marty and Evelyn were walking toward them from the opposite direction.
Evelyn had a grim expression, but Marty, on the other hand, seemed to be in high spirits. He was seen pointing at the paintings constantly and explaining something to her.
When Clarissa saw them, she walked over with a smile and greeted them.
"You're here too. What a coincidence."
They were surprised when they noticed Clarissa and Anne. Subconsciously, Evelyn covered her facemask with her hat.
Immediately, Marty's eyes lit up when he saw Clarissa.
"Clarissa, what a coincidence! You brought Anne to the exhibition!"
Nodding, Clarissa turned to look at Evelyn, who was nervous.
Suddenly, she couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"Alright, stop covering. I recognized it was you not because I saw your face."
After all, she was an artist who was brought up by Clarissa. If she had to look at her face in order to recognize her, then she was not qualified to bring up an artist.
Hearing this, Evelyn immediately let out a sigh of relief.
In the meantime, Clarissa's gaze shifted between the two of them. Suddenly, she smiled and said, "Why are the two of you together... What's going on?"
Without waiting for Marty to speak, Evelyn quickly waved her hand.
"No, no, It's not like what you think. We just happened to meet..."
But, Marty interrupted her before she could finish.
He held Evelyn's hand and said, "Yes, I took her out to see the exhibition today."
Upon hearing his reply, Clarissa raised her eyebrows.
As soon as he finished speaking, Evelyn became anxious.
She wanted to explain but did not know how to.
In the end, she could only smile and say, "Don't listen to his nonsense. Have you ever seen a man bringing a girl out on a date in a children's art exhibition?"
As she spoke, she emphasized on the word 'child' deliberately.
Something seemed to have happened to Marty recently because ever since he took her to the children's amusement park last time, he seemed to have found a new hobby.
He would take her out to participate in different activities frequently.
There were many activities, but they all had one thing in common, which was, they were all very childish. The activities were all something only the children like to play and see.
Feeling helpless, Evelyn tried to protest, but Marty did not listen to her and continued to do what he wanted.
In the end, she had no choice but to shut up.
Since he was the boss, he had the final say. He could do whatever he wanted.
Seeing how the both of them were acting, Clarissa could guess what was going, as she smiled and said, "If that's the case, you guys should continue. I won't disturb you any further. I'll take Anne over there to take a look."
It was only then that Evelyn and Marty waved goodbye to her.
Before they parted, Marty couldn't help but squat down and touch Anne's head. He smiled and said, "Anne is getting more and more beautiful. When you grow up, Uncle Marty will take you out to play."
Blinking her bright eyes, Anne said suddenly, "Uncle Marty, you are lying."
Stunned, Marty then smiled immediately.
"How so?"
Unexpectedly, Anne crossed her arms, and snorted.
"You won't play with me in the future. Since you have a beautiful girlfriend now, you will naturally have your own baby with her in the future. You will play with your new baby"
