Chapter 951 A Demon

With a cold face, he turned to Lily and asked, "Hey, is that thing in the coffin?"
Tied to a tree, Lily neither shook her head nor nodded at his question.
In fact, because she didn't know anything about Jade of Heaven, she wasn't sure if Mr. Gill had come to bury it that night.
But when he heard Sean's words, she was reminded of how strange his great-grandfather had acted recently. That was why she'd brought him here.
Hence, she couldn't help but be perplexed when she heard him ask this question at this point.
How could she possibly know if he had buried something in the coffin?
Seeing that she didn't respond, Sean couldn't bear waiting any longer. He took up his iron shovel and started prying open the coffin.
Although he was young and bold, she had nevertheless been dead for decades, so he was a little scared inside.
After prying for some time, he finally managed to open the lid of the coffin.
He took a few steps back as an awful rotten smell hit him in the face. After, he didn't get any closer till the odor of the corpse had faded a little.
However, there were just white bones in the coffin.
His expression changed drastically.
He refused to believe it. As a result, he took the shovel and fiddled with it a few more times in the coffin, turning over the bones and gazing at them, again and again, to ensure that nothing was hidden in it.
Immediately, a surge of anger rose from the bottom of his heart. He threw the shovel away and walked toward Lily.
The look on his face alerted Lily that something horrible was about to happen.
He must not have found what he was looking for and was planning to kill her. What should she do now?
Lily became terrified when she saw this. However, Sean was already approaching her at this point.
He pinched her cheeks and lifted her head. Following that, he gritted his teeth and said, "D*mn girl, how dare you lie to me!"
Lily's eyes were welling up with tears as she shook her head several times.
Sean laughed sinisterly.
"You said that it was buried here. Where is it? Come and show it to me!"
As he said, he untied the rope around her, then seized her hair and dragged her across the graveyard.
His string of deeds scared Lily out of her wits. By the time she regained her senses, he had dragged her to the tomb.
Sean pressed her body down, forcing her to face the white bones in the coffin. In a furious voice, he added, "Find and get the thing for me. I'll let you accompany your great-grandmother here if you can't find it today!"
His words had frightened Lily so much that her face turned pale.
Nodding repeatedly, she then quickly bent down to look around.
Even after he untied the rope around her feet, her wrists remained tied behind her back. Hence, it was inconvenient for her to move, but she persevered in her search.
She was scared Sean would bury her alive in a fit of rage.
Meanwhile, Sean rose and gave her a hard stare.
Bit by bit, Lily searched around the tombstone, and she eventually came to a halt in front of it.
Surprised, she raised her head to look at him and let out two whines.
Sean furrowed his brow. He wondered if she really found it. As a result, he squatted down as well.
Just in the next second, his expression shifted dramatically.
"Get lost!"
He slammed her to the ground, then rapidly began digging a shovel in front of the gravestone, paying no attention to her.
However, it didn't take long for him to quit digging.
Suddenly, he squatted down and carefully examined the spot.
The other section of soil was tight except for that, so it seemed like someone had dug it recently. Moreover, it hadn't rained in a long time, which meant the pit had come to an end.
But there was nothing in it.
So... someone had taken it away in advance!
As soon as he realized this, he darkened his face. Following that, he thoroughly examined the soil and discovered that it was still fresh.
"D*mn it!"
Sean couldn't help but curse as he threw the shovel on the ground.
Lily had no idea what was wrong. She gazed at him, terrified.
Then, Sean turned to face Lily.
He sneered and spat, "It seems that your great-grandfather regards that item as a gem. He'd rather sacrifice your life to keep that stuff. Do you think it's worth it for you to keep this thing a secret for him?"
Lily gave him a blank stare. In truth, she didn't grasp what he was saying.
Afterward, Sean squatted down and looked her in the eyes. Suddenly, he changed his tone.
"Little girl, how about we discuss something?"
Immediately, Lily was taken aback.
Indifferently, he stated, "Your great-grandfather is as stubborn as a stone. He refuses to give me the jade until he sees you. In this case, I must show him something and remind him that the right to talk is not in his hands but mine. Am I right?"
Till then, Lily did not understand what he was trying to do. She didn't even dare to say anything. All she could do was stare at him warily.
All of a sudden, Sean drew a gleaming knife from the back of his waist.
"In any case, this place is quite close to your house. What if I cut your fingers and send them to him? When he sees it, he'll realize how much you need him right now, and I'm someone who can do whatever I say. Perhaps he will then trade the jade for you by then. What do you think?"
Lily's eyes went as wide as saucers.
Furthermore, he inquired as to her thoughts.
Of course, she didn't think it was a good idea!
For a brief period, she felt both angry and fearful as she locked her gaze on him. At the same time, she sat on the ground and retreated in fear, one step at a time.
As he followed up, Sean was still chattering to himself.
"Don't worry," he added with an evil grin, "I'm good at it. I've studied medicine before and worked as a surgeon. I promise to only cut one of your fingers and not break it."
"Besides, you won't die without a finger. Most importantly, your great-grandfather will be able to save you in time, and you will still be able to go to the hospital. There is no other way, even if you are not as active in the future. You can consider it a good deed done on behalf of others. What do you think?"
Hearing what he said, Lily was nearly in tears.
She'd never seen such a psycho before!
He was not a human being but a demon!
Sean's expression suddenly turned aloof. "That's enough. Don't back off anymore. No matter what, you won't be able to get anywhere. Just give me your hands obediently!"
As he spoke, he was about to grab her hand.
However, at this moment, Lily suddenly raised her foot and kicked him between the legs.
The spot was a man's weakest point! Immediately, Sean let out a muffled groan and knelt in pain.
In the blink of an eye, Lily quickly kicked a clump of dirt into Sean's eyes. Sean screamed and let go of the knife in his hand to cover his eyes.
