Chapter 439 Value Their Friendship

Although Clarissa told herself not to be bothered by her words again and again, she still felt a little strange after hearing the same thing a few time.
Thinking of this, she couldn't help but laugh at herself.
Having doubts was just a deep-seated bad habit that humans could not get rid of.
She turned to look at Nora.
"Nora, let's go back."
Nora nodded and got in the driver's seat to start the car engine.
While the car was driving on the road, Clarissa was holding the phone, and her mind was wandering.
Just then, a "Ding" sound suddenly came from her cell phone.
She picked it up and saw a text message.
Clarissa frowned. Looking at the sender of the text message, she subconsciously didn't feel like opening it.
However, after hesitating for a moment, she still decided to click open it.
The text message was sent by Jara. The content was very simple. It was a photo.
In the photo, there was a blond, blue-eyed man with a full beard. A scar that cut through the whole face from his forehead to his chin was apparent.
Judging from the angle the photo was taken, it should be secretly taken by someone.
The light on the photo was a little dim, and the quality of the photos was a little blurry, but even so, the appearance of the person in the photo could be seen clearly.
Clarissa frowned, and scrolled it down, and soon it reached the bottom.
At the bottom, there was a very short message.
"His name is Y. He is the head of the Sapphire family and person in charge of the Toulson Group in the F Country. If you find him, you can easily find out about Mark's death."
Clarissa was shocked. The person in the photo should be the same person Dylan had mentioned just now.
If that was the case, then the truth of the matter would soon be revealed.
Thinking of this, her eyes dimmed slightly. She hesitated before tapping on the sender's number.
The call was soon connected. Jara's magnetic and smiling voice came through the phone.
"Seven, you miss me already?"
Clarissa didn't want to talk nonsense with him, so she went straight to the point. "Why do you help me?"
Jara chuckled.
"Mark is not only your friend but also my subordinate. Since you have already gone to F Country, I wouldn't bother to go there anymore. However, I could share a piece of information that I know with you."
Clarissa snorted slightly, and inexplicably felt that he was gloating.
"Why are you being so kind?"
Jara smiled faintly and said, "Seven, am I such a heartless person in your eyes? Besides, this is just a piece of cake. Not only you will be grateful for me, but it also shows that I value our friendship very much. That's why I'm more than happy to help."
Clarissa thought for a while, it seemed that it was something he would do.
She sneered and said, "You're that kind of person who would jump at opportunities as and when they arise."
Jara didn't seem to be able to hear the mockery in her words. He sighed, "Seven, if you want to praise me for being so diligent and smart, why don't you just say so straightforwardly? How can I tell that you were praising me if you're being so reserved?"
After a pause, he said with a smile, "But as long as it's what you say, I'll like it. Even if you misunderstood me that I did it for my personal interest, I'll still accept it because I like you a lot."
Clarissa suddenly froze as her face turned blue with anger.
Jara always had such an ability to piss her off with just a few words.
She ground her teeth. "Jara, I can't be bothered to waste my time on you!"
Then she hung up the phone directly.
When Clarissa returned to the hospital, she realized that Anderson had already returned after the examination.
It was very quiet in the ward. David and the others waited outside the door. When they saw her, they greeted her respectfully.
Clarissa nodded and pushed open the door. She saw Anderson leaning on the bed, reading a book.
Seeing that she was back, his eyes deepened. He put down the book and asked, "Where did you go?"
Clarissa didn't hide the truth from him. She told Anderson that she went to the villa to interrogate Dylan and told him all the information that Dylan told her.
However, in the end, she still did not tell him the fact that Jara had sent her a message. She only showed the photo to Anderson.
With the premise that she interrogated Dylan before, even if she didn't explain, Anderson easily and naturally believed that the photo was provided by Dylan.
Sure enough, Anderson did not ask much when he saw the photo. He only said, "I'll get David to investigate this person right away."
Clarissa nodded.
Although they were in a foreign country, David, as Anderson's special assistant, was of course very proactive.
It only took an hour for him to find the results.
David stood in front of them and calmly reported, "The man in the photo is called 'Samuel', and his nickname is 'Blade Scar'. He is now the person in charge of the biggest casino in the underground of Blink City.
After some further verification, there is proof that the casino is indeed operated by Blade Scar on the surface, but it is actually inextricably linked to the Sapphire family.
If I'm not wrong, it should be an important stronghold of the Sapphire family in Blink City."
Clarissa nodded as she listened to his report.
Then she turned to Anderson and said, "If that's the case, the information that Dylan gave us is not wrong."
Anderson also nodded.
He thought for a while and said, "We can send someone there to have a look first."
However, Clarissa shook her head and rejected his proposal.
"I don't trust others to go there. If we alert the enemy, our efforts will go down the drain. I want to go there in person."
Anderson's facial expression darkened when he heard her words.
"No, I don't agree."
Clarissa knew what he was worried that something bad would happen to her now that she was pregnant.
She smiled faintly and comforted him, "It doesn't matter. I will bring Nora with me. She will protect me and make sure I'm safe all the way. Nothing will happen to me."
Seeing this, Nora quickly stepped forward and promised, "Don't worry, sir. As long as I'm alive, I won't let anything happen to Clarissa."
Anderson looked at her deeply and was silent for a while.
Clarissa was afraid that he would disagree, so she held his hand and said coyly, "Don't think too much. If you are still really worried, you can send another two men to follow me, but they can't be too obvious. This is not like home. The underground forces here are complicated, and our whereabouts have been exposed. I am afraid that if we are too high-profile, we would attract some unnecessary trouble to ourselves."
In fact, there was no need for her to remind him of this.  Anderson had thought about this before.
After a moment of silence, he looked at David and ordered, "Go with Madam tomorrow."
David was startled and quickly nodded his head.
"Yes."
Thus, the matter was decided for the time being.
Clarissa decided to go there in the afternoon the next day to avoid the problems that might be incurred by a delay.
The next day at two o'clock in the afternoon, the three drove to the gate of the casino.
Speaking of which, the trade name of this casino was also pretty interesting. However, for a casino operating abroad, it had a trade name that echoed Ascijan culture.
