Chapter 19 He Is Not Short Of Money

They had been shopping from afternoon to night.
Clarissa was so hungry.
In order to thank her for going shopping together with him, Anderson specially invited her to dinner.
Clarissa was so hungry, so she didn't refuse him hypocritically. At seven o'clock in the evening, they went to The Curry Palace to eat.
She ate ten crabs which were in season at a stretch.
The young man at the next table was shocked. He thought, "This man looks so rich and handsome, but how could he starve his girlfriend to such an extent? How many days hasn't she eaten?"
When Clarissa was so hungry, she ate very quickly and never cared about her image.
This was the habit she formed during her work in the past few years.
Most of the time, she was very busy and couldn't eat on time. How could she care about her image when eating?
She just wanted to finish eating as soon as possible and then continue to work.
After eating the tenth crab, Clarissa still wanted to eat another one, but the plate of crabs on the table was suddenly taken away by Anderson.
She looked up at Anderson in a daze and asked with confusion, "What are you doing?"
Anderson handed the plate to the waiter and said in a deep voice, "Eating too many crabs will chill your body. Eat something else."
Clarissa puckered her mouth with dissatisfaction, but she knew that what he said was right, so she didn't say anything.
However, she looked at the other dishes on the table and felt a little full, so she had no more appetite.
She simply put down the bowl and chopsticks.
Seeing that she had put down her chopsticks, Anderson didn't want to eat anymore.
After calling the waiter to pay the bill, they got up together and walked out.
The black Rolls-Royce was parked on the side of the road. David got out of the car and opened the door for them respectfully.
Clarissa greeted him with a smile, "Hi, David, have you eaten yet?"
David always felt that her smile was a little sinister. He nodded with a smile in a hurry, "Yes."
"Well, that's good."
Clarissa got into the car and said to Anderson in a low voice, "Mr. Jordan, your assistant actually drove your car to eat and left you in the restaurant. I think he is too arrogant."
David's body suddenly froze and he explained with a bitter face, "Mr. Jordan, I didn't. I just ate in a restaurant nearby."
However, Anderson nodded with a smile, as if he didn't hear what David said.
"Yes, he's a little arrogant indeed. I'll punish him later."
"Okay."
Clarissa took revenge on David successfully and David's face was bitter. Anderson rubbed her head dotingly.
When the car started, Anderson suddenly took out a bag from behind and handed it to her.
"Here you are."
Clarissa was stunned. She took it and had a look. Inside the bag, it was the dress she had tried on in the store.
"Why did you buy this?"
Anderson smiled, "You like it, don't you? David bought it because you like it."
Clarissa glanced at David.
David understood what Anderson meant and nodded in a hurry.
"Yes. Miss Chapman, I bought it. Well... I lied to your best friend in the afternoon, but I didn't mean it. Please forgive me!"
Clarissa looked at him. After a moment, she suddenly smiled.
In fact, she just wanted to tease David. She didn't expect him to be so nervous.
She nodded and took out her phone, "I'll transfer the money to you right now."
"Oh, no."
David refused her quickly. In fact, the dress was bought by Anderson. How dare he accept Clarissa's money?
He smiled awkwardly and said, "Well... actually, I just advised Mr. Jordan, and it was him who made the decision. If you want to return the money, just give it to Mr. Jordan!"
After that, he shut up immediately and didn't speak anymore.
Clarissa looked at Anderson in surprise. Anderson said blandly, "I'm not short of money."
Clarissa was speechless.
She thought, "Of course I know you're not short of money. Is there any need for you to tell me about it?"
Anderson turned to look at her with a smile, "If you want to thank me, how about doing me a favor?"
"What is it?"
Anderson pulled out a piece of paper from a pile of documents next to him.
Clarissa took it over and had a look. It was a case about a very popular male actor in Energence International Crop.
The actor's name was Anthony Perry. He acted in a costume drama. He was famous because he looked very handsome in ancient costume.
But he was involved in a scandal. His ex-girlfriend suddenly accused him of not only betraying her and hitting her, but also cheating her a large sum of money before he became famous, and so far he had not returned the money to her.
Betraying his girlfriend was so damaging to his career, and he even cheated her money and hit her.
Whether the matter was true or false, if the news was reported, it would create a bad impression.
If it was serious, his career as an actor would have to be stopped, and his future would be ruined.
Clarissa looked at Anderson with puzzlement.
"He is an actor in your company. Isn't there anyone in your company who helped him to do public relations?"
"They did, but it's not very effective. There are too many actors in the company at present, so it's impossible for us to focus on his business."
Clarissa frowned.
"Why do you worry about it? You are the president of the company. Isn't it a waste of your energy to worry about an actor?"
Anderson pursed his lips and paused.
After a while, he said, "He is my cousin."
Clarissa got speechless.
......
Clarissa knew about Anderson's family history in advance because of Anthony.
She didn't expect that the love story of his parents was so romantic.
It was said that Anderson's father used to be an elegant and handsome young man.
But he didn't like the blind date arranged by his family. Instead, he fell in love with a girl from a poor family.
His family didn't agree to let them be together, so he eloped with the girl. When he came back, their child had grown tall. When his parents saw that, they couldn't separate them and could only agree.
Of course, their child was Anderson.
Anthony was the only child of his mother's younger sister. Even though he didn't often contact his aunt's family, he would help them if they really got into trouble.
After hearing Anderson's words, Clarissa was overjoyed.
"I didn't expect that your father was quite brave. He must be living a happy life with your mother now!"
Anderson looked out of the window and said in a melancholy voice, "Maybe! If they're still alive."
Clarissa was stunned.
Her smile froze on her face.
After several seconds, she came to sense and stopped smiling. In a low voice, she said, "I'm sorry. I didn't know..."
"It doesn't matter."
Anderson looked back at her, "It's been so many years. I've already accepted the truth."
Clarissa didn't know what to say for a moment. The atmosphere suddenly became awkward.
She had to bring the topic to Anthony, "I can help you with this. I'm free recently, but I have to meet him first."
"Okay." Anderson nodded. "You can meet him the day after tomorrow! He went abroad for relaxation recently. I'll ask him to book a flight tomorrow."
"All right."
Not long after they discussed about it, the car arrived at Clarissa's apartment.
She opened the car door and got out of the car. Then she turned around and waved goodbye to Anderson.
In the dark night, Clarissa suddenly felt that Anderson, who was sitting in the back seat elegantly, was a little lonely. He was like a lonely lamp that was shining in the long night, and his loneliness could not be described by words.
She suddenly felt a little painful in her heart, as if her heart was stung by something all of a sudden, and her heart beat a little faster.
Anderson smiled at her and gestured for her to go upstairs. Clarissa nodded and turned around to walk towards the apartment without hesitation.
Anderson didn't leave until she entered the apartment. Clarissa turned around and looked in the direction his car left. She thought for a while, and then took out her phone to make a call.
"Hello, I want to ask you something. Are you familiar with Anthony?"
