Chapter 1053 Repay You
He traveled around during this time only to relieve the irritation in his heart.
Thus, he didn't even think about Coby's goal.
Perhaps he had given it some thought. However, he did not dare to think about it again because he felt danger in his intuition.
Therefore, he was perplexed when Anderson mentioned it.
With a hint of befuddlement in his gaze, Luca looked at Anderson.
Anderson was not in a hurry. He waited quietly for Luca to speak.
Luca shook his head and glanced down after a long time. "I don't know. I really don't know what he intends to do with Jade of Heaven."
Then, Anderson added lightly, "I believe that you don't know about it, but since this matter has already happened and we're aware of it, I hope that you will not only care about your own good. If there is a chance, let's investigate it together. After all, if Coby has any ulterior motives, the entire Marsh family will be affected, and I'm afraid you can't be an exception."
When Luca heard the words, he suddenly grinned disappointedly.
"You're not aware that I've been kicked out of the family, are you? So, whether the family lives or dies in the future has nothing to do with me."
In a surprise, Anderson raised his eyebrows.
He had not expected Luca to be kicked out of the family.
Hence, he hesitated for a moment and said in a low voice, "Since that's the case, I won't force you. Thank you very much for telling me all this today. Mr. Marsh, if there's a chance in the future, I'll gladly repay you."
After that, he stood up.
Luca also stood up after seeing this.
After a moment of thought, he added, "I'll try my best to help locate Mrs. Jordan. But if Coby really wants to hide her, I'm afraid it'll be difficult to find her. So, don't get your hopes up."
Hearing this, Anderson stopped in his tracks and did not turn around.
After a while, he replied softly, "Thank you."
He then walked away.
The old wooden door creaked open, and he strolled out. Luca stood in the room for a long time, silently watching Anderson as he left.
As soon as Anderson walked out of Goddess Palace, he got in the car.
The driver turned around and asked, "Mr. Jordan, where are we going now?"
Anderson pondered for a moment, then said, "Let's go back to the castle first."
"Yes, sir."
Soon after, the car began to move toward the castle.
Sitting in the car, Anderson looked out of the window at the rapidly retreating scenery. He then narrowed his eyes slightly.
His fingers were unconsciously turning the wedding ring. Clarissa put it on when they got married.
The night was cool, and he cracked a sarcastic smirk at the corner of his mouth as if he were an eagle swooping down on his prey.
Coby, it turned out that this was your true colors.
I knew you were different from ordinary people after tracing you for so many years, but I didn't expect your background to be like this.
A person from a thousand years ago... No wonder you were able to flee when I caught you ten years ago.
I had no idea you were a part of the Marsh family at the time, but now that I knew... Ha!
Anderson removed the wedding ring on his finger, and the diamond on the ring changed color. In the dark, the blood-red color shone like a brilliant gem, emitting a dazzling light.
He gently pressed down on the diamond with varying frequencies.
At the same time, a group of people in an iron-gray building thousands of miles away screamed out in amazement when they saw the code that was displayed on the computer screen.
"The boss has sent a message! Everyone, come and have a look!"
......
Initially, Clarissa didn't intend to sleep.
She was probably more weak after becoming pregnant. She actually fell asleep at midnight.
Sierra was hesitant to sleep at first, and when she noticed Clarissa was already sleeping soundly, she decided to stay awake. She kept her eyes wide at first because she was frightened that someone might take advantage of their sleep to harm them.
But, in the end, she discovered that not only had no one entered but that the vast room was empty except for them.
It was already the next morning when she awoke.
Sierra had a nightmare. She had a dream that someone had grabbed her and Clarissa and severely tormented them. She was so frightened that she shuddered and jerked awake.
After she woke up, she looked for Clarissa everywhere.
"Clarissa, Clarissa!"
Upon hearing Sierra's voice, Clarissa held her hand. "Mom, I'm here. Don't be afraid. I'm here."
With time, Sierra's eyes gradually focused. Only then did she see that Clarissa was right in front. Other than her complexion, she was completely intact. She finally felt at ease after that.
The curtains were not drawn before going to bed last night, so the sun streamed in through the window, brightening the entire room.
"What time is it now?" Sierra inquired, raising her hand to shield her eyes.
Clarissa fixed her gaze on the wall clock. "It's nine o'clock in the morning."
"It's already so late?"
Sierra's expression abruptly shifted.
"Yes." Clarissa nodded calmly.
She'd worked it out by last night. She believed that keeping calm was preferable to be terrified and panicked.
After all, Coby did not intend to harm her yet. There was still room for turning back if she regained her composure and grasped Coby's purpose.
Thinking of this, Clarissa was no longer in a hurry.
When a servant heard them waking up, she quickly arrived with breakfast.
Clarissa didn't refuse. After the servants put the breakfast in order, she said, "I want to go to the bathroom."
For a brief period, the servant hesitated as if she was unsure about what to do.
Then, Clarissa raised her eyebrows and said unceremoniously, "Your boss only wanted to lock me up and didn't mention that I should pee on the bed, right? If you guys really don't mind, then I don't mind either. I'm just not sure if your boss will be able to deal with such consequences."
The servant's face changed as she heard this.
Immediately, she replied, "Please wait a moment. I'll ask for permission."
Soon, she came back with a slew of keys in her hand.
"Wait a minute. I'll unlock it for you now."
Sierra stood by her side, watching closely behind her.
Seeing the servant open the lock on her hands and feet, Clarissa grabbed the servant's wrist, gave a backhand twist, brought the servant to her chest, and grabbed her neck the next second.
The servant was so scared that she didn't dare to say anything and just stood there in a daze.
Clarissa turned to face a surveillance camera in front of her and said, "Coby, whatever your motive, let us go now! Otherwise, I will strangle her right now."
Her grasp on the servant became tighter, forcing the servant's eyes to turn white from the strength.
