Chapter 991 Pregnant With Twins

At this time, Raylan had already done a lot to appease Chantel and the rest. So, she did not want to continue blaming him.
Instead, she waved off his apology with an embarrassed smile.
"Forget it! Since you put it this way, then I'll be magnanimous. I'll not bicker with you over this matter for now."
"But, please remember to watch over those boxers so that they won't act absurdly. Otherwise, I won't let this matter rest."
Raylan nodded in agreement.
"Don't worry, Miss Jordan. I'll monitor this matter through and make sure that such incidents will never happen again."
With Raylan's assurance, Anderson and his group did not say anything further and got ready to leave.
Unexpectedly, Raylan stopped them.
He smiled and offered, "It was said that it's better to meet by chance than to be invited. I've never expected to meet you all in Ashax country. Since I'm indebted to you, then let me know if you plan to stay here longer. I can be your host and take you to tour the place to make amends for today's incident."
As he spoke, he took out a stack of business cards and gave them one each.
Chantel shot him a glance and replied, "We'll here for two more days. We'll contact you if we need to."
With that, Raylan nodded. Then, Anderson and his group left.
Outside the pub, Anderson and Chantel did not get into the same car.
When Chantel came, she drove her car. Anderson, too came in his own car. So they went in their own ways.
Mr. Jenkins was not going the same way and left on his own after saying goodbye.
Everybody had departed, but Anderson and Clarissa were still sat in the car.
At this moment, Clarissa could not help but let out a sigh of relief. She commented, "I didn't expect it. I thought we'll have a peaceful trip. I didn't expect something like this to happen."
Anderson agreed and nodded. "It's really unexpected."
Out of curiosity, Clarissa asked, "By the way, this Raylan gives me a strange vibe. I can see that he is an upright sort of person. How did he end up here running such a foul place? This is clearly no ordinary underground pub."
Anderson looked at her and answered, "Perhaps he has some insurmountable difficulties. I won't know about this. We had a good relationship when we were in university. After graduation, we went our own ways and lost contact. So, I don't know what happened to him over these years."
With an "oh", Clarissa nodded and stated,
"That's true. I can tell that Raylan is talented. If he stays here, he will be buried and forgotten."
Then, Anderson grasped her hand and responded,
"Well, don't get all emotional over others. How do you feel? Were you scared just now? Is your tummy all right?"
His concern made Clarissa smile. She shook her head and replied, "I'm fine. Your son is very obedient and didn't make a fuss. So don't worry."
Anderson smiled at her candid reply and pulled her into his arms.
Although Clarissa had repeatedly assured Anderson that she was fine, Anderson was still cautious. As soon as they were back in the hotel, he went to ask Robert to have a quick check on her.
Robert and Sierra were still awake as they were worried about Anderson and Clarissa. Learning that they were back, they went over to see both of them.
As for Chantel, she went back to her room and stayed there. Meanwhile, Clarissa related the incident at the pub to Sierra and Robert.
The incident at the pub shocked both Sierra and Robert as it was out of their expectation that such a thing could happen.
With a sigh of relief, Sierra said, "Thank goodness all is well. I'm worried that you'll run into trouble. We are strangers here and won't know what to do."
Clarissa smiled and patted Sierra's hand to comfort her.
"Mom, we're all right. Don't worry. It's just a misunderstanding."
In the same way, Anderson nodded and reassured Sierra, "That's right. Your health is not that good. Why don't you go back to your room and rest? We're fine. There won't be any problems."
With his reassurance, Sierra nodded.
At this time, Robert had finished giving Clarissa a quick checkup.
Immediately, Anderson asked nervously, "How is it? Is Clarissa all right?"
Without saying anything, Robert cast a glance at Anderson.
There was a strange expression on Robert's face.
It would be better if he had not looked at Anderson. Now, Anderson was even more nervous.
"Is Clarissa all right?"
Anderson repeated his question.
Surprisingly, Robert shook his head, but then he replied, "She's fine."
After a pause, Robert suddenly said, "You're lucky."
"Why?"
Both Anderson and Clarissa were lost for words. They could not understand what Robert meant.
Then, Robert congratulated Anderson in a low voice, "Congratulations! Looks like you'll be a father twice over."
For a moment, Anderson could not react, but he quickly recovered.
"What, what did you just say? What do you mean 'father twice over'?"
Although Anderson already knew the answer, he could not believe it.
Calmly, Robert answered, "Clarrisa is pregnant with twins. We don't know whether male or female. For sure, it's twins. Time to celebrate and be happy!"
Joy overcame Anderson when he heard those words.
He hugged Clarissa tightly and smothered her with kisses.
Seeing such a happy scene, Sierra and Robert knew that they were in the way. So, they quickly bade goodnight and returned to their room.
Meanwhile, Clarissa had not got over the shock yet.
After Sierra and Robert had left, Clarissa's head was still muddled. Robert's words kept echoing through her head.
Anderson saw her puzzled look and pinched her face lightly.
"Honey, what's on your mind? Aren't you happy?"
His words seemed to wake Clarissa, and she looked at Anderson.
Finally, she snapped out of her thoughts, and her face turned murky.
"What's there to be happy? Two more! There are already two children at home. Now there's going to be two more..."
Perhaps Clarissa was thinking how difficult life would be with so many children.
It was not that she did not like children, but four children would be more than a handful for her.
Even if she hired more domestic help, she would have no time for the children when they need her.
Anderson understood Clarissa's fears. He smiled and held her tightly in his arms.
"Don't worry, Clarissa. I'll be there to help you. I won't let the children pester you. This is our children, the symbol of our love. Oh, I'm so happy."
Actually, Clarissa was not unhappy.
After all, no mother would be unhappy when she found out that she was pregnant with twins.
Would not that be like a double bonus?
That thought made Clarissa smile.
Then, she propped her head against Anderson's chest and asked softly, "What do you think? Are they boys or girls?"
Anderson replied softly, "Doesn't matter. I'll love them all the same."
Then, Clarissa looked at him and stated,
"I hope they're girls."
Smiling happily, Clarissa said, "Girls are so nice. They're sweet and adorable like Anne."
Just as happily, Anderson chuckled and replied, "Either boys or girls are fine. If they are girls, then they'll be the Jordan family's princesses. If they're boys, then they'll help me protect you when they grow up. Wouldn't that be great?"
