Chapter 236 What Should I Do?

Clarissa hugged him more tightly and put her head on his shoulder.
Feeling her attachment, Anderson held her waist with more strength and said solemnly, "Don't be afraid. I'm here."
"Okay."
Clarissa nodded and said in a crying tone, "I'm fine."
How could she be fine?
Her palm had been bedding. Anderson's rough hands were covered by calluses because he exercised with various sports equipment all year around, but hers were different.
She had never done such a fierce exercise before, and her hands were very tender. After swinging to the cliff by the rope and climbing such a long way, her hands had got badly mutilated.
If her hands didn't get numb due to the pain, she couldn't be able to get here.
Anderson understood naturally this, so he felt more distressed.
His heart ached so much that he didn't even bear to blame her for acting on her own and being over-confident.
Soon, the two reached the ground.
Clarissa could no longer hold on and lost consciousness. Anderson untied the rope from her waist and said in a deep voice, "Where is the ambulance?"
"It's parked on the side of the road. The doctor is also there."
As soon as Anderson heard this, he ran towards the road with her in his arms.
......
Clarissa didn't know how long she had been in a coma.
She only remembered that after she fainted, a man with a very heavy British accent treated her wounds, and said a few words in crappy Chinese.
She had always been leaning in a warm embrace.
The familiar smell and breathing made her mind and body completely relaxed, and she could feel the pain on her body particularly clearly. Waves of pain penetrated her.
"It hurts…"
She groaned softly.
Anderson held her in his arms and glanced at the opposite doctor with cold eyes.
"She said that it hurts. Didn't you hear that?"
The doctor spread his hands helplessly, "I can't give her painkillers now. She has been injected with cyanide. Now using painkillers will only make her suffer from sequelae. Of course, if you don't mind, I can do it."
"There's no need!"
Anderson answered in an apathetic voice and then hugged Clarissa more tightly.
"Clarissa, hold on. It's all right. You will feel better soon."
Clarissa's lips were pale. Hearing his voice, she moved her lips and didn't groan anymore.
Anderson reached out to wipe off the cold sweat from her forehead. Seeing her weak and pale face, he felt terribly painful in heart.
He wished that he could bear this pain on behalf of her.
At this moment , his phone rang.
Nora's voice sounded as soon as he answered it, "Mr. Jordan, I found out that it was Lara who kidnapped Mrs. Jordan! She has known that Mrs. Jordan escaped and is searching for her everywhere."
Anderson sneered, "Search? How dared she kidnap my woman?"
On the phone, Nora's heart trembled, "I know what to do."
Anderson hung up the phone. The doctor sat across him and felt scared when he listened to their conversation.
"Anderson, calm down. Although that person is disrespectful to your wife, but fortunately she has been saved. You can just get even with that person and don't hurt other innocent people."
Anderson looked at him indifferently, "Innocent? Do you know who the person kidnapped her is?"
The doctor didn't know much about Clarissa and subconsciously asked, "Who?"
"Her younger sister."
The doctor suddenly widened his blue eyes and opened his mouth wide in surprise.
"Do you still believe her family is innocent now?"
The doctor was silent.
If they were really sisters, and their relationship had become so bad, how could their parents not know about it?
That was obviously impossible.
He sighed and didn't speak anymore.
Clarissa had fallen asleep. Anderson looked down at her, and a touch of softness and distress flashed across her eyes.
Seeing this, the doctor was even more surprised.
"Anderson, is she the girl you met in California five years ago?"
Anderson nodded.
"She looks so young. Is she an adult? Are you robbing the cradle?"
Hearing his words, Anserson's face suddenly darkened.
He frowned with displeasure, "What are you talking about? Do I look very old?"
"Don't you? You're almost 30 years old, but she doesn't seem to be even 20 years old."
Anderson was speechless.
He didn't bother to talk to him again.
It didn't take long before they got to the hospital.
Although the doctor had bandaged Clarissa's wounds in the car and gave her a basic check-up, Anderson was still worried.
He was afraid that there would be any hidden injuries on her body, so he found a female doctor to give her a detailed examination after arriving at the hospital. Only when he heard that there was nothing wrong with Clarissa, he was completely relieved.
......
Clarissa woke up at four o'clock in the afternoon.
When she woke up, bars of sunlight slanted down from the window. It was not hot but quite cool in the ward because the air conditioner was turned on.
She blinked, and it took her a few seconds to get used to the lights. Then she supported her body and tried to sit up.
Unexpectedly, she felt so painful when she pressed her hands on the bed.
Only then did she remember that her palms were injured. She raised her hands, only to see that her two palms were tightly wrapped in gauze, just like two bear paws.
Her face darkened a little.
The door was suddenly pushed open from the outside.
Anderson appeared at the door, and he immediately became unhappy when he saw her sitting up.
"Why don't you lie down obediently?"
His tone was very harsh, and he walked over with a cold face.
Clarissa was stunned and felt a little guilty.
"I... didn't mean it. I just wanted to sit up, because my body is a little stiff after lying down for so long."
She explained in a hurry. Hearing this, Anderson's face softened a little.
But he still looked angry.
Looking at her bandaged hands, he said coldly, "Why didn't you ring the bell when you wanted to sit up? Why do you always like to make yourself suffer?"
Clarissa didn't speak anymore.
Looking at him with her big black eyes, she felt a little aggrieved.
Anderson asked the doctor to come over to give her a check-up.
The check-up was completed soon, and there was nothing wrong with her body. The drugs in her body had been removed, but it took some time for the injuries on her hands to recover.
Anderson was more relieved. After the doctor left, he sat down by the hospital bed.
Holding her seriously bandaged hand, he asked, "Does it still hurt?"
Clarissa felt a little sad and shook her head dejectedly.
Anderson raised his eyebrows and noticed her emotions. A mischievous smile flashed across his eyes.
However, he pretended to be annoyed and said in a deep voice, "Are you feeling wronged?"
Clarissa did not speak.
But the expression on her face clearly showed her grievance.
"You are wronged, but have you ever thought about me? Lara is just a woman who can be dealt with easily, but you have to risk your life to take revenge. If something bad happens to you, what should I do? Have you thought about it?"
