Chapter 698 Believe In Yourself

Clarissa had already informed Anderson that she would be leaving today when he left this morning.
With Nora around, Anderson didn't have to worry about anything.
Furthermore, according to Clarissa, she went out this time only to work.
He didn't have to worry because it wouldn't be long before they returned in three or four days.
As a result, he did not send her off but instead commanded the driver to take them straight to the airport. He would pick them up later when they returned.
Clarissa was actually feeling a little guilty. She felt as if she had betrayed Anderson's trust in her.
However, if he was aware of this, he would be in a dilemma.
Thinking of this, Clarissa took a deep breath and managed to suppress the depression in her heart.
Nora and her went to the boarding gate as soon as they arrived at the airport.
They would have to take a seven-hour flight to F Country.
The two of them dozed on the journey, and by the time they got in Blink City, it was already night.
Clarissa had arranged for someone to pick her up in advance. The person was a young, robust man with blonde hair. He greeted her in fluent English.
"Hi, Seven. Long time no see."
Clarissa curled her lips and hugged him. Then she introduced Nora to him. "This is my friend."
The man reached out amiably to Nora. "My name is Sam, and I'm glad to meet you."
"I am Nora." Nora smiled and nodded.
After a cordial greeting, Sam led them to the parking lot.
"I heard you come here for the Flying competition. I really haven't seen you compete in a long time! Well, I can finally watch you race again."
Clarissa grinned. As for her identity as a race car driver, she had already told Nora about it.
Nora had become utterly devoted to her. Clarissa had told her a lot of things that not even Anderson was aware of.
Thus, she naturally would not tell Anderson about it.
With a chuckle, Clarissa said, "Perhaps my skills had deteriorated since I hadn't competed in some years. I'm not sure what the result will be this time."
Hearing that, Sam encouraged her with his sharp eyes and added, "Seven, believe in yourself. You're a superstar who has won the championship three years in a row. You've got this!"
Clarissa was infected by his words and laughed as well.
"Hope so!"
The two of them chatted and laughed, and soon got in the car.
Sam was a friend she had known before. He wasn't a racer, but he was fascinated with racing. He could be considered Clarissa's fan.
Since he worked for a tourism company, he was in charge of Clarissa's food and accommodation this time.
It wasn't that she didn't want to stay in Anderson's homes and hotels. However, she might have some encounters with the Holland family during this time.
There were other things she wanted to learn about and investigate as well.
If she were to examine such claims, she would have to speak with those people, which would then be made public.
Nora could help her keep the secret for the time being, but those people couldn't.
As a result, she did not want to live in his place. She couldn't disclose to Anderson the actual purpose of her trip until the competition ended.
Sam was a very talkative person. After all, he was a tour guide, and he had been conversing with them in the car for quite some time.
He was fluent in the languages of six countries and was familiar with the customs of each.
Therefore, when conversing with others, he could always find a variety of topics to talk about.
Moreover, he was astute, so he could tell whether the other party wanted to discuss a particular topic or not.
There was no doubt that it was a pleasure to deal with such a person. As a result, his business was also doing well.
When Clarissa left F Country six years ago, he was simply a small tour guide. He was now the boss of a large tourist corporation.
Along the way, he briefed her about the recent changes in F Country.
In fact, Clarissa didn't tell him that she and Anderson had been here for a long period just two years ago.
Half an hour later, the car came to a halt in front of the hotel's parking lot.
Sam chose the hotel for her, and it met her requirements. It was comfortable, and the surroundings were tranquil. Furthermore, the hotel maintained strict confidentiality.
After getting out of the car, he handed them the room access card and said with a smile, "I wish you a pleasant stay here during this period of time. You can contact me at any time if you have any questions."
Clarissa sincerely expressed her gratitude. "Sorry to trouble you."
"It's no problem."
After sending them to the hotel, Sam didn't stay long and soon left.
Clarissa and Nora took their room cards. The staff took them to their rooms once they had registered.
Sam was unquestionably dependable when it came to getting things done.
Both the rooms and hotel were good picks for her.
Aside from the comforts of a five-star hotel, the most significant aspect was the excellent environment.
It was especially calm and lovely, as per Clarissa's request. Also, because it was a private vacation hotel, it was quite safe and secure.
Later, Clarissa and Nora both inspected their respective rooms. They set down their baggage after double-checking that everything was in order.
They hadn't eaten anything because the flight was seven hours long, and the two of them had been asleep on the way.
So they headed out to find food after that.
At this time, it was about eight o'clock in the evening at home.
But it was six o'clock in the morning in F Country's Blink City.
There would undoubtedly be a time difference, but Clarissa had become accustomed to it for the past few years.
Not to mention Nora, this kind of issue was not in her consideration at all.
Because many of the breakfast restaurants outside had not yet opened, they could only dine at the hotel's restaurant.
After the meal, they went back to their rooms to rest and recover from jet lag.
They slept until three in the noon. When they woke up, Clarissa was about to take Nora out for a stroll.
It had been two years since Clarissa last visited Blink City, but she didn't see much of a difference.
Nora was aware of Clarissa's previous life in Blink City. She added with a smile, "If possible, I really want to go to the place where you used to live. Perhaps you'll run into someone you know."
"The place hasn't been there for a long time," Clarissa replied with a smile.
The last time Anderson had been injured, she had taken him to take a look.
The place had long been deserted. At that time, she found an abandoned car and drove it.
Now that she thought about it, things that happened only two or three years ago seemed to have happened a long time ago.
They took a walk outside for a while. However, they didn't find a good restaurant until the evening lights were turned on.
Later, Sam called her as soon as they finished their meal.
His happy voice came through just as Clarissa answered the phone.
"Hey, Seven. I've completed the task you requested earlier. I'll send you the address of the venue. You can go there tonight."
Clarissa pursed her lips and inquired, "What's the fee like?"
"With our relationship, I say no need for that! My friend owns the venue, and the car is fairly priced. I paid for it first, and you can pay me later together."
