Chapter 176 Anderson's Apology

When they had to leave, Matteo came to take Anne.
Seeing that Anne didn't want to leave her, Clarissa felt a little sad.
Unexpectedly, Anne suddenly grabbed the hem of her clothes, blinked her big eyes and said crisply, "Mommy, I heard from great grandma said that you and daddy will soon give birth to a little brother for me. Is this true? "
Clarissa was so confused.
Matteo's body froze.
Even Anderson, who was standing aside, stopped his movements and looked at her in astonishment.
Time seemed to have stopped at that moment!
Anne was a little stunned. After several seconds, she found that she had said something that she shouldn't say!
She exclaimed, and suddenly covered her mouth with her chubby hands.
She blinked her big and watery eyes, and looked at Clarissa pitifully.
She thought, "Woowoo... mommy, I didn't mean that!"
"I don't want to lie to you, and I just want to stay with you!"
"Great grandma said that as long as you give birth to my little brother, you will never leave daddy and will be with me forever!"
"Mommy... I'm so sorry!"
Clarissa turned her head and looked at Anderson.
There was a complicated expression in Anderson's handsome face. The corner of his mouth twitched slightly, and he almost wanted to leave here as soon as possible.
On the opposite side, Matteo finally reacted and smiled awkwardly.
"Well... What should I say..."
Matteo was so embarrassed that she didn't know how to explain it. She had experienced so many things in her life, but she became at a loss about such a trivial matter.
Clarissa suddenly laughed.
"I was just wondering why I and Anne are so fated! I liked her very much when I first saw her. She even kept calling me mommy. It turns out that we're really family. It seems that my hunch is quite right."
Everyone was dumbfounded.
Clarissa did not mention that they deliberately hid their identities. She did not say anything else, and didn't get angry.
She just said like this blandly and eased the embarrassed situation.
Well...
She was so considerate!
Matteo was so moved that she was about to cry. With tears in her eyes, she stepped forward and held Clarissa's hand, sobbing, "Clarissa, I'm sorry. I..."
"I understand." Clarissa smiled and patted her hand gently to comfort her.
"Every parent cares about their children. You love Anderson so much, so you wanted to see what kind of woman he had got married with. Although your method is a little wrong, your original intention is good, and I can understand you."
Matteo was so touched that she burst into tears.
"I knew that you're so considerate and sweet."
Clarissa smiled blandly and didn't say anything else.
She looked at Anne and squatted down.
Anne covered her face with her hands and looked so upset, because she had done something wrong just now.
Clarissa was amused by her. She reached out and took off Anne's chubby hand from her face. She said with a smile, "Don't cover your beautiful little face, otherwise your face will become ugly!"
Anne looked at Clarissa cautiously through her fingers and asked, "Mommy, aren't you angry?"
Clarissa shook her head, "I'm not angry."
"But I lied and I am a bad girl!"
"Good girl, as long as you don't do this again next time."
"Really? As long as I change, you won't be angry anymore?"
"Yeah, really."
Clarissa nodded solemnly, and Anne suddenly became very happy. She released her hands and threw herself into Clarissa's arms.
"Woowoo... Mommy, I miss you so much. Now I finally have my own mommy."
Hugging Anne's small and soft body, Clarissa felt so warm in her heart.
Even the slight discomfort in her heart seemed to have disappeared a lot.
She smiled, patted Anne's back gently and said lovingly, "Yeah, you have your mommy now. I will love you."
Anne was overjoyed.
But their time could no longer be delayed. Anderson glanced at his watch and said, "We are going to the airport. Grandma, go back early after staying here to play for a few days."
After a pause, he said, "I will bring Clarissa back to Flaucford to see you after a period of time."
Anne naturally didn't want to be separated from Clarissa, but she was very obedient. After sending Clarissa to the airport, she said goodbye to her reluctantly.
Before leaving, Clarissa kissed Anne on the forehead and gave Anne a small jade pendant that she had been wearing all the time. It was the amulet she had been wearing since childhood. She heard that Anne was not in good health, so she hoped that this could bring Anne the good luck.
After bidding farewell, they boarded the plane.
It took another two and a half hours to get back. As soon as they got on the plane, Clarissa sat in the seat and closed her eyes. Obviously, she didn't want to talk to Anderson.
She no longer smiled and put on a cold face, looking really mad.
Anderson glanced at her anxiously and felt regretful, but he knew that it was indeed his fault.
He should have stopped Matteo and Anne from lying to Clarissa, and he shouldn't have allowed them to do what they wanted. At this moment, he was really embarrassed.
As the plane took off, the cabin fell into silence, and no one spoke loudly. Some people talked to each other from time to time, but their voices were so low that they almost couldn't be heard under the sound of the airflow.
Anderson didn't know if she was asleep. Seeing her like this, he felt very aggrieved, but he didn't dare to say anything or ask anything.
Finally, he took off his coat and covered her body, because he was afraid that she would catch a cold.
Unexpectedly, as soon as he covered her with the coat, she threw away the coat.
Was she not alseep?
Anderson became more nervous and asked her in a low voice, "Are you angry?"
Clarissa snorted coldly and didn't answer him.
Anderson could only explain with grievances, "I originally wanted to tell you, but I didn't want to make grandma embarrassed. What's more, I wanted her to explain to you on her own, and I thought it would be better. I didn't except that Anne would say it today. Clarissa, I didn't mean it."
Clarissa finally opened her eyes and looked at him with a sneer.
"So, this is the reason why you hid it from me?"
Anderson immediately put on a serious face and said in a deep voice, "No."
"Then why do you explain to me?"
"I…"
He was suddenly stuck for words.
As the president of the Jordan Group, he had never begged someone so humbly. At this moment, he wanted to beg her, but he didn't know what to say.
Finally, he felt so annoyed and said solemnly "I'm so sorry!"
Clarissa smiled so coldly.
"I know that I shouldn't have helped grandma lie to you. I am really so sorry!"
"Ha!"
"Clarissa, forgive me!"
Clarissa turned her face and ignored him.
Anderson glanced at her, reached out his fingers, carefully pinched the corner of her clothes and then shook it lightly.
"Honey."
Oh!
He had never acted in such a pettishly charming manner!
Clarissa was almost gooseflesh all over. Turning her head, she glared at him, gritted her teeth and said, "Let go of me!"
