Chapter 961 Savior

Chantel snorted arrogantly. "That's more like it."
At that moment, Micah happened to come over, so she let him hold her arm as they walked away.
Then, Robert and Sierra went to the lounge.
As soon as he sat down, Robert asked with concern, "Are you alright? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"
Shaking her head, Sierra looked up and smile at him. "Robert, I'm so sorry. I've caused trouble for you again."
Upon hearing that, Robert frowned, looking a little displeased.
"How many times have I told you? We are husband and wife. It's normal for a husband and wife to support each other. What do you mean by causing trouble for me?"
With a pause, he then added, "Besides, it's clearly the woman who is being unreasonable, and you still let her walked all over you."
In response, Sierra smiled faintly. "Judging from the way she looked and her attitude, she doesn't seemed to be an ordinary person. It's best if we don't cause any trouble since we're new here. Furthermore, it's Tobias Jenkins' event today. He's a businessman, so to him, customer is always right. We better not offend the guests lest we ruin Tobias's event."
Of course, Robert knew what she was thinking, but when he saw her being bullied, he felt sorry for her.
Then, he discontinued the topic. Patting on Sierra's hand, he said, "Stay here. I'll get you a glass of water."
Sierra nodded and watched as he left.
Soon, Robert came back with a glass of water, but surprisingly, there was another middle-aged man following him.
The man seemed to be from Ascijan. However, he had a very dark eyes and big nose, somehow looking like a foreigner. At first glance, he was probably mixed-race.
Coming in with a smile, he said cheerfully, "Since you are here today, you should come to my place and have a good look. I have sent people back to renovate this place a few years ago. The front area is the stone-gambling hall, and behind is the manor I built. You will be staying in the manor while you are here. I promise that you will definitely like the environment."
Upon seeing him, Sierra stood up abruptly and smiled. "Of course, Tobias. I'm sure it's as nice as you say it is. We'll be disturbing for awhile."
In response, Tobias waved his hand, showing that he didn't mind. "Hey, what are you talking about? If it's not for Dr. Lane, I would've died in the desert a long time ago. Speaking of which, I owe you my life."
With a gentle expression, Robert replied, "It's nothing."
"To you, it's nothing, but to me, you're my savior."
Sitting down, the three of them continued to chat happily.
Five years ago, when Sierra and Robert were travelling, they bumped into Mr. Jenkins, who was bitten by a poisonous snake at that time and was on the verge of death. They brought him back to the castle for treatment, and they became friends afterward.
Tobias' mother was from Ascijan. Since Sierra and Robert wanted to come back to Ascijan to travel, and they didn't know anyone in the country, they contacted Tobias so that they could have someone they knew to guide them.
A while after they sat down, Tobias suddenly exclaimed, "Ah," then asked, "By the way, just now I heard a clamor outside. I only found out that it was you after asking around. What happened?"
As the topic was brought up again, Sierra's expression changed immediately, and Robert knitted his brows at the same timer.
With a smile, Sierra quickly explained. "It's not a big deal. I was separated from Robert, and when I was looking for him anxiously, I accidentally ran into a lady. I hope it did't affect your business."
Waving his hand, Tobias replied, "Of course not, but I know the lady you mentioned."
When Sierra heard that, she was surprised. "You know her?"
"Yes." Speaking of this, Tobias became excited and said mysteriously, "She is a member of the Jordan family in Flaucford. You've heard of the Jordan family, right?"
Sierra nodded. "I've heard of them. They are one of the four biggest families here, right?"
"Yes. I don't need to explain how powerful the Jordan family is. As far as I know, the lady is the daughter of Carlos Jordan, the founding father of the country, and her name is Chantel. In Flaucford, she was known to be very arrogant"
Immediately, Sierra's expression changed when she heard these words. Her face was turning slightly pale.
Reflexively, she patted her chest in relief. "Good thing I didn't mess with her. Otherwise, it will be bad."
But Robert interjected impassively. "So what? Is she going to make a fuss out of it and take revenge?"
Upon hearing that, Tobias shook his head. "Not to that extend. Although she is the eldest daughter of the Jordan family, the current head of the family is no longer Carlos Jordan, nor her, but her nephew Anderson Jordan. I haven't seen Anderson before, but I heard that he is a very reasonable and graceful person. He won't take such things seriously."
Only then did Sierra nod her head in relief.
As the three were chatting, suddenly, a staff member came in a rush.
"Boss, there is a lady who goes by the surname Jordan requests to see you."
In surprise, Tobias asked, "Miss Jordan? Which one?"
The staff glanced at Sierra.
He was Tobias' personal assistant, so naturally, he knew Sierra. Subsequently, he explained hurriedly. "The one who had a conflict with Mrs. Lane in the main hall earlier."
At that moment, Sierra and Robert's expressions changed.
Immediately, Robert sprang up from his seat with a dark expression. "She still wants to cause trouble, doesn't she? Sierra, stay here and don't move. I'll go out and teach her a lesson!"
"Robert!"
Sierra pulled him back, as she was afraid that he would act irrationally out of impulse.
Meanwhile, Tobias raised his hand and uttered in a deep voice, "Don't worry. I'll go out to see what's going on. Perhaps she's not here to see you. Besides, this is my place. Even if something happens, I will handle it, you don't need to worry."
As he spoke, he quickly walked out of the room.
Sierra pulled Robert to sit back down as her heart raced uneasily. Suddenly, a lovely female voice was heard outside the door.
"It turns out that you are the boss here. I was wondering why I couldn't find you. I have something important to discuss with you."
With a smile, Tobias responded, "Miss Jordan, welcome. Please forgive me if I didn't welcome you earlier. What do you want to discuss with me?"
"It's not convenient to talk here. Let's talk inside."
After that, she ignored Tobias's obstruction and walked into the lounge directly.
As soon as she entered the door, she saw a man and a woman sitting on the sofa.
In a hurry, Tobias followed behind and immediately explained. "Miss Jordan, let me introduce them to you. These two are my friends, Sierra Campos and Dr. Robert Lane."
Seeing that, Sierra gave her an awkward yet polite smile. Robert, however, remained as indifferent as ever, treating Chantel as if she was an enemy and was ready fight at any moment.
At the sight of them, Chantel her eyebrows and felt a little surprised.
