Chapter 276 Meet In The Bar
Anderson nodded before speaking.
"I thought you hated her very much. I didn't expect you to help her. Aren't you jealous?"
"Jealous of whom? Gabriela?"
Anderson nodded seriously.
Clarissa bust into laughter.
"Why? Just because she deliberately got close to you while having lunch?"
Anderson frowned.
Feeling that she was unconcerned, he frowned harder.
Clarissa laughed happily.
"Alright, she's even your ex-girlfriend, but I am not jealous about this. If I get jealous just because you two sat and ate together, I will live in jealousy every day!"
Clarissa always looked at the bright side of things, and she was very clear about something.
She knew what belonged to her and what didn't, and she understood what was true and what was false.
She would never make herself unhappy because of meaningless things.
She was happy, but Anderson got upset.
He looked at her with resentment, "How do I feel that you don't care about me at all?"
Clarissa was amused.
"You think I don't care about you just because I am not jealous? Anderson, can you be maturer?"
Anderson was even more depressed.
Clarissa didn't want to continue this topic with him anymore. She said, "By the way, Gabriela found me just now. She looked at me with vicious eyes. It seems that she was afraid of me saying it. Do you think she will hate me because of this?"
Anderson's face darkened.
"She dares not."
After a pause, he said, "Since it is something related to the actor in Energence International Crop, I will ask David to investigate it later. Don't worry. Nothing bad will happen."
Clarissa nodded.
No matter what, Gabriela was a member of the Levine family, and the Levine family and the Jordan family were old family friends.
She didn't want anything terrible to happen to Gabriela for the sake of Matteo.
In the evening, Anderson received a call from Ruben and was invited to drink in a bar. Ruben seemed to be in a bad mood because his tone was unhappy.
Anderson didn't care if he was in a good mood. After all, even if he was sombre, he would naturally be accompanied by many beauties, and he didn't need to worry about him.
Although he didn't want to go, Clarissa did.
After all, she had lived in Flaucford for so long, but she hadn't been to a bar yet. She didn't know if there was any difference between the bar here and the bar in Visstead.
Seeing this, Anderson didn't want to disappoint her, so he changed his route and drove to L-VE bar.
This bar was famous in Flaucford. As soon as they entered, they were shocked by the noisy music inside.
It was very lively and crowded in the hall, and the music blasted. Under the brightly colored lights, lots of young men and women were dancing with the beat of the music, venting the remaining energy during the day.
Although it was not the first time Clarissa had come to a bar, she couldn't get used to the lights and music.
At the same time, she was a little curious and excited.
They looked around the hall, but didn't see Ruben.
Anderson was about to call him. As soon as he took out his phone, someone patted his shoulder. He turned around and saw Ruben standing next to him.
Clarissa was startled and asked, "Where were you just now?"
Ruben glanced across the lively hall and said in a deep voice, "Follow me."
Anderson and Clarissa were stunned and had to keep up with him.
The corridor on the second floor was very spacious, with boxes on the left and rows of small bar counters on the right. Sitting on the chairs in front of bar counters, they could see the performance on the stage on the first floor.
Ruben did not enter the box but took them to a large bar counter with the best sightseeing location to sit down.
A waiter came to ask them what they wanted, and Ruben ordered a dozen beers.
Clarissa felt a little uneasy when she saw the crowd coming and going around.
"Ruben, why are you here alone? What are you doing?"
Ruben glanced at her and said blandly, "What can I do in this place? Drinking, Of course."
Clarissa became interested, "Drinking alone? Tut, it seems that you have something on mind."
Ruben's face suddenly became unnatural.
As if he had been seen through.
"No..."
He shook his head, but couldn't help looking around. Obviously, he was lying.
Clarissa smiled. Since he didn't want to say it, she couldn't force him.
While chatting, they drank a little.
Clarissa had to go to work the next day, so she couldn't drink too much. After drinking a few glasses of wine, she ordered a juice and sipped it.
At this moment, a familiar figure attracted her attention.
Next to the bar counter not far away, a girl walked in from outside.
She wore a light yellow blouse with a white short skirt, and her shoulder-length short hair hung down loosely. She looked so quite and sweet.
Such a girl was rare in such a bar.
But what attracted Clarissa was not this, but her identity.
Natalia?
Why was she here?
After seeing her twice in Visstead, Clarissa had a deep impression of her.
But she didn't expect to meet her here.
She turned her head to look at Ruben, only to see that he was also looking at Natalia with obsessed eyes, and her heart skipped a beat.
"Ruben, do you know her?"
Clarissa asked, pointing at Natalia's back.
Ruben came to sense. A complicated expression flashed across his eyes as he shook his head.
Clarissa smiled, "I know her, but I'm not very familiar with her. She seems to be a member of the Levine family, but she's a distant relative."
There was no expression in Ruben's face.
However, his eyes became more affectionate as he looked at Natalia.
Clarissa was a little confused.
Seeing this, Anderson frowned and said solemnly, "Ruben, if you really like her, chase after her boldly. What's the point of drinking with depression here?"
Ruben was shocked, and his face turned slightly pale.
Clarissa glanced at him, and then looked at Natalia who was sitting not far away and smiled, "It seems that you knew that she would come here, so you came here to wait for her on purpose?"
Ruben did not answer her, giving tacit consent to her words.
Clarissa was puzzled.
"If you like her, just pursue her. You're capable, rich, and handsome. What are you afraid of?"
Ruben was stunned. He opened his mouth and wanted to say something, but he gave up.
Clarissa wanted to persuade him again, but Anderson suddenly pinched her palm under the table.
He said blandly, "Alright, just drink if you don't chase after her. Don't always look at her. People who don't know will think you are following her."
Clarissa was amused, but she understood something.
Perhaps Ruben was too embarrassed to say what was on his mind.
Since Ruben didn't want to say it, they couldn't force him.
They all stopped talking, and Ruben drank one glass after another. He was simply drinking in sorrow.
At the bar, Natalia had a few words with a man who was sitting there and then left.
