Chapter 329 Lawfully Wedded Couple
Anderson curled his lips up and said, "I've said it before, you need to find the knack of making it."
Seeing that Clarissa was still frowning and looked frustrated, Anderson stopped what he was doing and walked to her back.
He then put his arms around her body and took a piece of dumpling wrapper for her. He held her hand to teach her hand-over-hand.
"Look, don't press it too hard here, or it can't turn. Just give it a gentle push and the pattern would be drawn. Turn and press it now. Isn't it easy?"
Clarissa was surprised to find that it was really easy to make dumplings after being taught by Anderson hand-over-hand.
Anderson held her hand again and taught her to make a few more in the same manner.
When they were making the fifth one, Clarissa couldn't hold it in anymore and said, "I'll try one myself."
Anderson's eyes darkened slightly and he nodded. "Well, go ahead."
She carefully held the dumpling wrappers and gently pleated them in the manner of which he had taught her.
Soon, a dumpling was made.
Although it was not as perfect as what he had done when he taught her just now, it was still a decent looking dumpling.
She was so happy that she took the dumpling and said to him with a wide smile, "Look, I know how to make it!"
The smile on Clarissa's face was contagious. Anderson's eyes seemed to be smiling too as they darkened.
He nodded and said, "Yes, you're so smart."
Clarissa was a little embarrassed by Anderson's sudden praise.
She brushed back the strands of hair on the side and said with an embarrassed smile, "It's because you've taught me well."
However, Clarissa forgot her hands were covered with flour from making the dumplings for the whole morning. Two white marks appeared on her cheeks after she brushed her hair back.
Just like a shy kitten.
Upon seeing this, Anderson's eyes darkened. All of a sudden, he held the back of her head and kissed her on her lips.
Clarissa was caught off guard by Anderson's kiss. She paused for a moment before she looked around in panic.
She hit his waist with her elbow and blamed him coquettishly, "What are you doing? We're in the old mansion! Grandma and Chantel are still outside!"
Anderson chuckled. "So what?"
Clarissa glared at him.
"You still dare to say that! What's going to happen if we are seen by others?"
"Clarissa, we're a lawfully wedded couple. It doesn't matter if someone sees us."
Clarissa was speechless.
Nevertheless, after all, the Old Madam, Chantel, and the others were all here. Although the Old Master was nowhere to be found, he might be here at any time.
If they were really seen kissing, she would probably so embarrassed.
Anderson knew that Clarissa was a shy person. Seeing that her ears were reddened, he curled up the corner of his lips and stopped teasing her.
Taking off the gloves, he said, "It's still early to have dinner. Shall I take you out for a walk?"
Clarissa took a glance at the time. It was not even six o'clock. It was still early.
So she nodded. "Okay."
The two of them took off their gloves and tidied things up. Then, they went out together hand in hand.
Most of the villas near the Jordan family were occupied by the descendants of the four great families.
More than ten years ago, after the demolition of the former compound, eighty percent of the people had moved here. So in fact, the nearby area here was equivalent to another compound.
On the way out, the two of them often met a few passers-by who greeted Anderson.
"Hey, Anderson!"
"Anderson, how're you doing!"
"Where are you going, Anderson?"
"Anderson, taking your wife out for a walk?"
There all kinds of greetings received by Anderson. It was obvious that the people around here were familiar with him.
Anderson nodded his head in return and did not make any reply to them. He was acting cold and aloof.
But in the face of these people, although he still had no obvious expression on his face, there was warmth in his eyes. He was not as indifferent as facing others.
Just then, a young boy walked towards them.
The boy has brush cut hair dyed in yellow and dressed in punk fashion. At first glance, Clarissa could tell that he was experiencing the teenage rebellion phase.
He was skateboarding. When he saw Anderson, his eyes lit up and rushed towards him.
He stomped his feet on the ground to brake. He shouted excitedly, "Anderson! You are back!"
When Anderson looked at him, his eyes were not as cold as before.
"Yeah, what are you doing?"
"Getting ready to go out and play."
The boy was amused again when his gaze fell on Clarissa.
Then he winked at Anderson dubiously.
"Anderson, is she your girlfriend? When are you going to hold the wedding ceremony? I want to attend it."
Anderson smiled and said, "It won't be long."
Clarissa was stunned. Before she could react, she was pulled forward by Anderson.
Behind him, the young boy shouted while smiling, "Good! You must inform me then. I will be your groomsmen!"
They had already walked some distance. Clarissa was still in a daze. She turned around and took a quick glance at the boy before asking Anderson, "Who is he?"
"The youngest child of the Holland family."
"What?"
To be honest, Clarissa had heard a lot about the Holland family, but she rarely met any of them.
As for the four great families in the Flaucford city, needless to say, Clarissa was familiar with the Levina family. As for the Blaine family, it was no stranger to Clarissa too because of Marty.
However, up to now, she hadn't seen the younger generation of the Holland family before.
She had only seen Claus, the patriarch of the Holland family, during the gathering at the Levine family last time.
Clarissa heard that Claus had three sons. The eldest was in the army, and the second son was a businessman. Both of them were outstanding among the younger generation. But there wasn't much news about the youngest son. It seemed that his family didn't pay much attention to him.
Now, it seemed like the young boy they had just met was the youngest son of the Holland family.
Clarissa seemed to be thinking about something, but she didn't think much about it. The two of them soon arrived at a nearby square.
The square was crowded with people and buzzing.
It was the new year. There was a space provided at the square to light fireworks. Although it was daytime and the fireworks were not as visible as they were at night, because of the lively atmosphere, many people were hanging out there.
Anderson held Clarissa's hand and placed it in the pocket of his coat to warm her hand.
When she saw that there was a roasted chestnut stall in front of her, she said, "Let's buy some snacks to eat!"
Anderson nodded. He brought her over and bought some of them. When he was paying for them, Clarissa's handphone suddenly rang.
She picked up the phone and looked at it. It was Lauren.
Clarissa's lips curled into a smile. She informed Anderson about it before walking to the side to answer the call.
Lauren was calling to tell her about the situation in Visstead and to ask her about Joy.
Clarissa told her everything in detail.
Joy was taken care of by Marry. In the old mansion, there was no need for Lauren to worry about it all as both the Old Madam and Josie were mothers of few children, so they were experienced when it came to look after a child.
