Chapter 43 Destiny Fragrance

The two of them soon walked inside. After passing through the garden, they saw a wide lake.
In the night, the light of the street lamps and the moonlight fell on the lake, and the waters of the lake was sparkling. The lake was so big.
The doorman led them up the stairs and into the hall. After taking the escalator, they finally arrived at the private box Anderson had booked.
The name of the box was Moonlight, which fitted the artistic conception here quite well.
The decoration inside was also very exquisite. The design was antique and classic, and it was modern and advanced in some details, which made the guests feel more comfortable and convenient.
There was a big window in the south, and the lake was outside the window. Standing here, they could see more scenery. They could even see the lights on the arch bridge in the distance. The lights were bright and the scenery was elegant, which had a distinctive flavor.
She smiled and said, "The scenery here is so beautiful. I like here so much."
Anderson smiled.
He had studied her hobbies, so he took her here.
They sat down and then ordered the dishes.
Anderson ordered Clarissa's favorite dishes again.
Clarissa was a little embarrassed by his thoughtfulness. She always felt that she had taken a lot of advantages, but she had nothing to return to him.
She thought of Anthony. When she was waiting for the stars to come back in the afternoon, she saw his article on the Internet.
Anthony posted an article online as she asked, and it had caused a strong reaction.
Although it had not worked yet, she was confident that as long as he did as her plan, Anthony's problem would be solved successfully soon.
So she said to Anderson, "You don't have to worry about Anthony. I've started to handle with this matter. It won't be long before solving the problem."
Anderson looked at her with a faint smile and said lightly, "I feel that you're not only my good wife, but also my nice helper."
Clarissa was stunned.
At that moment, a thought flashed through her mind.
She looked at Anderson and did not say anything. However, she made up her mind in her heart.
After dinner, Clarissa wanted to go to the toilet.
There was a toilet in the private box, but its sound insulation was not good, so she was too embarrassed to use it.
The public toilet was at the end of the corridor, next to the elevator. Clarissa went out of the door and went to the Ladies under the guidance of a waiter.
As soon as she came out of the Ladies, she saw some familiar figures walking toward her.
Clarissa was stunned. She didn't know why, but she took a step back.
She happened to hide behind a pillar at the door of the bathroom.
Elliot and Lara was walking in this direction, and there was a middle-aged man wearing black-framed glasses with them.
Clarissa recognized him. He was the famous director, Freddie Jordan.
The three of them were talking and laughing.
Freddie smiled and said, "I've heard that Mr. Duncan has a very beautiful wife, but I don't know who she is. It turns out to be Lara."
Elliot smiled and said, "Director Jordan, thank you for taking care of Lara these years. I hope we can have a cordial working relationship."
"Of course. I'm the one who watched Lara become famous. She has great potential and will definitely become the youngest movie queen."
Lara said with a smile, "Thanks for your blessing words, Director Jordan."
"'Destiny Fragrance' is a play that I have polished with tremendous concentration for several years. Lara, you can't let me down!"
Lara nodded obediently, "Director Jordan, don't worry. I will do my best to act in the play. I will never let you down."
"That's good. Now I'm relieved."
They walked past her.
Clarissa was thin and was wearing a black clothes, and the light was dim, so she hid behind the pillar and no one found her.
It was not until the three of them entered the elevator that she came out from behind the pillar.
Staring in the direction they left, she frowned slightly.
She had read "Destiny Fragrance" by chance before.
When she read it, she liked it very much.
Many TV plays were led by the male characters. Even if it was a costume drama, it was about the emperor and his imperial concubines.
The stories were all about imperial concubines fought with each other in order to win the emperor's favor.
However, this play was different. This was a story about war, peace and change of dynasties, and it was written completely from the viewpoint of women.
When Clarissa finished reading it, she felt touched and excited.
From this play, she saw a different opinion about value.
That was, women's lives were not only about love. If she was given the same resources and status with a man, she would not be worse than a man.
But the story was very complicated and it was about six countries. It needed a lot of investment, and it would not be easy to shoot it.
That was why although this play was a hot topic at that time, it was shelved because there were no investors.
For the past few years, she had never heard of any news that the film would be shot.
She didn't expect that the shooting was about to start.
Moreover, it seemed that Lara would act the leading role.
Clarissa lowered her head slightly and came up with an idea.
When she returned to the box, Anderson had paid the bill.
Clarissa was a little embarrassed.
She had promised to treat him to dinner, but he finally paid the bill.
Anderson held her hand and walked out. As they walked, he said, "Mrs. Jordan, do you forget that we've got married? My money is yours. No matter who paid the bill, it doesn't matter."
After hearing his words, Clarissa's face blushed.
She mumbled in a low voice, "Then you suffer lots of losses, don't you?"
Anderson smiled, "Yes. Since you know it, you should compensate me tonight."
As he said this, he pinched her palm ambiguously and meaningfully.
Clarissa's back froze all of a sudden.
She turned her head to look at him, gritted her teeth and said, "Don't even think about it!"
After that, she quickly shook off his hand and got into the car first.
Anderson followed her with a faint smile on his face. After getting on the car, he said joyfully, "I just want you to help me prepare the bath water tonight. Why are you so excited? Do you want to do something else?"
Clarissa got speechless.
She knew that Anderson was extremely naughty!
He always liked to tease her!
Back home, Clarissa surfed on the Internet and searched for the information about "Destiny Fragrance".
She had seen this play two years ago. She remembered the general story, but she had forgotten the specific details.
Fortunately, two years ago, this play was very hot in the circle, and there was a lot of news about it on the Internet.
She could piece up the story with data gathered from various sources.
Clarissa sorted out the information she searched and made them into a document. Then she sent a copy to Evelyn.
Soon, Evelyn replied to her.
"Clarissa, do you want me to act in this play?"
Clarissa didn't want to keep her guessing, so she simply said, "Yes. You can have a look to see whether you like it or not first. Tell me your feelings after reading it."
The next second, Evelyn sent a voice message with excitement.
"Clarissa, I don't have to read it. I've read it two years ago. I like this play very much! Clarissa, do you want me to act the leading role, Ava Lee?"
Clarissa was speechless.
A few seconds later, she replied to Evelyn.
"Don't dream about it!"
Evelyn had nothing to say.
Clarissa spoke so straightforwardly!
