Chapter 1030 Interesting Performance
Soon, Anderson came back with a cup of water.
Then, he personally fed Clarissa the water.
As Clarissa was too lazy to raise her hand, she took a few sips of water while letting him hold the cup. Once she quenched her thirst, she pushed the cup away.
After that, he placed the cup on the table next to him and took her coat over.
"The weather is starting to turn cold. Put on a coat so that you won't catch a cold."
Hearing that, Clarissa nodded, put on her coat, and got out of bed.
"Are you hungry? Dinner is almost ready. So, let's go down and have dinner."
"Alright."
With that, the two held hands and went downstairs.
In the living room, Anne was sitting on the sofa while watching her favorite cartoon.
On the other hand, Marf was still trying his best to finish building his Lego.
As soon as he saw Clarissa and Anderson coming down, he put down the toys and ran toward them.
"Mommy! Daddy!"
Suddenly, Anderson went one step ahead of Marf and carried him.
"How many times have I told you? Don't throw yourself at your mom because she's pregnant. What if she falls?"
Upon hearing his words, Clarissa laughed, "I won't fall that easily, alright?"
Mischievously, Marf turned his eyes and retorted, "I wasn't going to hug Mommy. I was going to hug you."
As he spoke, he kissed Anderson's cheek.
At once, Anderson was at a loss of words.
Seeing that, Clarissa burst out into laughter.
As Anderson's face darkened, he slapped Marf's little butt lightly.
"What a glib tongue you have."
After the three of them went downstairs, Sierra walked out of the kitchen.
"Clarissa, you're awake. All of you may have a seat in the dining room first. Dinner will be ready soon."
Clarissa nodded and went to the dining room with everyone.
For the past two days, Sierra was in a good mood. So, she personally prepared the dinner.
When Robert came over from the back garden, he saw the exquisite dishes on the dining table, and a grin appeared on his face.
"Sierra, you cook? That's rare, but unfortunately, it's not because of me. How sad."
Although he said so, he stretched his hand to one of the dishes.
Looking at Clarissa, Sierra ridiculed, "Did you see how he eats while winning? He must have plenty of mouths."
At the sight of them teasing each other, Clarissa laughed joyfully.
Upon hearing what Sierra said, Robert snorted, "I'm just telling the truth."
Nevertheless, Sierra could not be bothered with him. Instead, she turned to Anne and asked, "How is my cooking? Is it delicious?"
Anne nodded her head profusely.
"Yes! It's as delicious as Mom's cooking!"
Hearing that, Sierra burst into laughter.
"You're such a sweet talker."
With a smile, Clarissa took a stalk of broccoli and placed it on her plate.
"Except for meat, you should have some vegetables too, understand?"
Obediently, Anne nodded her head. Then, Marf pushed his plate over.
"Mommy, I want vegetables too."
Right away, Clarissa gave him a stalk of broccoli.
Just then, Anderson's discontented tone sounded beside her.
"They all have it, but what about mine?"
Stunned, Clarissa shot him a glare.
"Are you a kid?"
Hearing that, Anderson kept quiet.
Despite scowling at him, she still gave him a stalk of broccoli. Only then, he took his plate away with satisfaction.
Throughout the dinner, everyone enjoyed themselves to the fullest.
After the meal, the servants came to put away the dishes.
Then, Sierra brought everyone to the living room to walk around for digestion. While strolling around, she asked, "Do you guys want to watch tonight's performance?"
Naturally, Clarissa knew what she was referring to.
With that, she turned to look at Anderson, and he responded, "Why not? We have time in our hands anyway."
Clarissa then asked Anne and Marf, "Do the two of you want to watch the show?"
Right away, Marf came close and asked, "Is there a pretty woman?"
Hearing that, Clarissa chuckled, "Oh dear, pretty woman is all you can think of. Since when did you learn to be so lascivious? I am sure your father and I aren't the ones who teach you."
With a black face, Anderson pretended to be angry and teased, "Instead of pretty woman, they only have an ugly man there. Do you still want to go?"
For a few seconds, Marf was dumbfounded. Then, he harrumphed softly.
"I don't believe you."
After that, he fled.
Once again, he made Anderson speechless.
Looking at the scene, Clarissa laughed hysterically.
Anderson didn't manage to scare Marf. Besides, Anne had also grown up, so she wouldn't be easily scared too. In the end, he could only keep his pranks to himself.
Later, Anne ran over and hugged Clarissa. "Mommy, I want to watch the show."
To that, Clarissa nodded and said to Sierra, "Since they want it, let's go to the theater."
Sierra nodded as well. Right after that, she turned around and instructed the butler to buy the tickets.
Then, she smilingly explained, "The show will start at 10 pm, so it's still early. Let's wait for the butler to book the seats, and we'll go when it's almost time."
Clarissa nodded in agreement.
At 9:30 p.m.
After having dinner, they did some leisure activities together. When it was about time, they left the house and drove to the theater.
In Oyraka, the weather was humid during the day, but freezingly cold at night.
Hence, Clarissa wore a cashmere coat, while her two children wore a layer of thick coat. On the other hand, Anderson wore a black windbreaker, which further enhanced his cold and stern side. Under the night sky, he looked attractive.
Robert didn't have to go to the lab tonight, so he came along.
When they arrived at the theater, they were just in time.
Then, Clarissa asked Anderson to buy snacks for Anne and Marf. As the kids ate their snacks, they found their seats and sat down.
Sure enough, Sierra reserved the best seats for them, which were located in the center of the third row.
The distance of their seats from the stage was just right. In their seats, they could see the performer's expression clearly.
Feeling excited, Anne tugged at Clarissa's sleeve and asked in a soft voice, "Mommy, do I really get to see the Goddess in a while?"
As Clarissa didn't want to destroy her innocence, she nodded with a smile.
"Yes, definitely. So you have to be focused during the show, okay?"
"Okay, got it."
With that, Anne sat straight up and waited for the Goddess to appear.
At that moment, Clarissa and Anderson were sitting next to each other. Beside Anderson was Marf, and next to Marf were Sierra and Robert.
The hall was fairly quiet. Although it was time for the audience to enter the hall, everyone lowered their voices while talking.
Soon, all the audience were seated.
As the lights slowly dimmed, Clarissa fixed her gaze on the stage.
Then, the stage light turned on, and the audience gradually fell silent.
After that, soothing music sounded. A woman's voice could be heard humming from a distance, accompanied by melodious piano music. The whole melody was unique.
Following that, a group of dancers in white came on stage one after another from the back of the curtain.
When Clarissa saw that, she raised the corner of her mouth.
Initially, she thought it was just an ordinary performance, but now, it seemed interesting.
