Chapter 313 Let Her Down
He smiled unconsciously, pushed open the door, and walked in. Then, he saw Natalia standing in front of the window in a white sweater. She seemed to be lost in thought.
He coughed lightly, walked over and asked, "What's wrong with you?"

Aidan had been standing there in silence. What was he thinking about? Why didn't he leave?

Aidan was taken aback and looked at her. For a moment, he didn't know what to say.

He came to apologize to her, hoping that she would forgive him, and then? Then they might part company, and they would never meet again! Otherwise, why didn't he speak?

Natalia shook her head with a smile on her face, but tears had run out of her eyes.
She wiped her tears in a hurry and said, "I don't feel wronged and I didn't say that against my will. It's just something in the past, and I don't want to mention it anymore. You can leave now."
Seeing her like this, Aidan felt more painful in heart. He almost couldn't breathe, as if his throat had been seized by something.
But in the end, he just nodded and said in a muffled voice, "Okay, have a good rest!"
After a pause, he said, "Remember to call me if you need anything, and you can ask for leave for a long time as long as you want. You don't need to come back to work in a hurry."
Without looking at him, Natalia said in a cold voice, "Got it."
Feeling her aloofness, Aidan had a bitter feeling for the first time. He smiled self-mockingly and turned to walk out without saying a word.
When he went downstairs, he saw Lanze sitting in the living room, as if she was waiting for someone.
He walked over and said politely, "Auntie, I have something to do, so I'll leave first."
Lanze turned around and looked at him in surprise, "Why are you leaving so soon? Stay and have dinner here."
Aidan shook his head, "No, I have something to do in the hospital temporarily, so I must leave."

Clarissa and Anderson did not know what had happened to Aidan.
Joy had been receiving treatment in the hospital. After more than a week, he finally recovered.
On the day he was discharged from the hospital, Clarissa went to pick up him and Lauren in person.
The Spring Festival would come in another twenty-some days. Clarissa let Lauren think about whether she should stay in Flaucford to celebrate the new year or return to Visstead.
