Chapter 613 Hurt Badly

After Marty left, Evelyn went to take a bath.
When she came out of the shower, Carrie had already prepared the food for her.
After suffering for over a day, in truth, she was completely exhausted both physically and mentally, and she had no energy to do anything.
Because Marty had thought of that, he told her to rest at home while he went to find out more about the situation.
Everything should wait until tomorrow after she had a good rest.
Indeed, Evelyn was hungry at that moment. When she saw the delicious food, she picked up her chopsticks without hesitation and began to eat.
When Carrie knew that she had returned safely, she was very happy.
So during dinner, Carrie kept talking to her, trying to help relieve the boredom.
At this moment, Carrie's cell phone rang suddenly.
Evelyn's cell phone had been taken away by Forbos, and when they caught him, they hadn't had time to find it, so she didn't have a phone with her now.
Taking out the phone, Carrie looked at the caller's identity on the screen, and her eyes lit up.
After some thought, she quickly looked at Evelyn and said excitedly, "Evelyn, it's Anthony. He must have known that you're back, so he called to check on you."
On the other hand, Evelyn had yet to know that Anthony was there that night.
After hearing that, she was stunned for a moment. "I thought the news is blocked from the crew? How did he know?"
Immediately, Carrie told her about the coincidental encounter.
After hearing what her explanation, Evelyn was surprised.
Seeing the phone was still ringing, she laughed and said, "Then hurry up and answer it. What are you waiting for?"
In a hurry, Carrie answered the phone.
As soon as the call was connected, she heard an urgent voice coming from the other end of the call.
"Carrie, I heard that Evelyn has been found? Is it true?"
Upon answering the call, Carrie glanced at Evelyn. Only after receiving the affirmation from her eyes, she said, "Yes, it's true. Thank you for your concern, Anthony."
Hearing that, Anthony seemed to have let out a sigh of relief.
"It's good to know that she's back. By the way, is she okay? Is she injured?"
"No, she's fine. She's not injured."
"Who kidnapped her? Did you find out anything? How did she get back?"
Anthony had too many questions to ask, but Carrie wasn't sure if she could tell him these things in the moment.
So she turned to look at Evelyn, asking for help.
Seeing this, Evelyn smiled and stretched out her hand.
She picked up the phone.
With the phone in hand, she chuckled and said, "I'm fine, Anthony. I'll tell you the details when I get back to the set! Don't worry about me."
It was only when Anthony heard her voice that he was certain she was really alright.
At the same time, he let out a sigh of relief and felt lucky.
"Phew—do you know that I was scared to death at that time? Your assistant hurt her leg that night in order to find you. Everyone was so anxious. Fortunately, you are alright now. If there was an accident, we would be so troubled."
Upon hearing his words, Evelyn was a little surprised.
Turning to look at Carrie, she asked, "You were hurt?"
Without expecting that Anthony would speak out about this matter, Carrie quickly waved her hand.
"it's nothing, I'm fine."
Then, Evelyn did not say anything else and said to Anthony, "Well, please help me keep this a secret for the time being. I'll talk about it when I get back to the set."
Of course, Anthony knew that Evelyn's disappearance was confidential. Other than the director, no one else in the crew knew about it.
Everyone thought that she just asked for leave.
So he agreed. After they exchange several sentences, they hung up the phone.
After hanging up the phone, Evelyn looked at Carrie and ordered. "Come here."
Shrinking a little, Carrie said with a dry smile, "Evelyn, what are you doing?"
Unwilling to waste time talking nonsense to her, Evelyn repeated. "Nothing's wrong. Just come over here."
Knowing that couldn't avoid it, she could only walk over slowly.
As soon as she approached, Evelyn grabbed her and sat her down on the sofa.
Then, without saying a word, she bent down to pull up her trousers.
"Which leg was hurt?"
Seeing that, she immediately wanted to hide. While hiding, she said, "Evelyn, I'm fine. I'm really fine."
However, Evelyn didn't have the time to listen to her explanation. She frowned and shouted coldly, "Don't move!"
Hearing that, Carrie had to stop, and Evelyn asked again, "Which leg is hurt? Tell me. If you don't tell me, I'll see it myself."
After realizing that she really couldn't avoid it, Carrie had to point at her right leg in a grievance.
"This one."
It was only then that Evelyn pulled up her trousers on her right leg and rolled it upwards.
As expected, when she rolled it up, she could see that there was a large bruise around her knees, and the center was wrapped in gauze. She guessed that it must the wound.
Because the wound was wrapped with gauze, she couldn't see it, but judging from the bruises around it, she could tell that it must be serious.
Consequently, her face darkened, as she pressed her hand gently around the wound and asked, "Is it still hurting?"
Immediately, Carrie shook her head.
"No, it doesn't hurt anymore. Really, it's not so serious. Anthony is making a fuss out of it and thought it's very serious, but really, it doesn't hurt anymore."
After making sure that she was not lying, Evelyn finally felt relieved.
It was no wonder that when she was outside just now, she felt that there was something wrong with the way Carrie walked.
It turned out that she had hurt her leg.
Then, she asked Carrie to put down her trousers, and said, "You'd better stay with me and let it recover these few days. Don't run around. I'll ask Aria to buy whatever you need."
Although Carrie knew the injury on her leg was not that serious, running around would indeed affect her recovery.
So she nodded obediently.
After the meal, Evelyn was about to get some rest.
Just then, a loud noise came from outside.
She frowned, while Carrie became nervous suddenly, as she grabbed Evelyn's arm and asked, "Evelyn, who's coming?"
After listening carefully for a while, she knitted her brows, as if she realized something suddenly and walked quickly to the door.
Outside the door, a few people were still bickering over something when the door was suddenly opened.
Then, they saw Evelyn and Carrie appeared at the door together.
Immediately, Aria stepped forward with a long face and bent down to say, "Sorry to disturb you, Miss Hussain."
Not far away, Jeffrey, who was being held by two bodyguards, saw Evelyn and immediately wanted to run toward her, but he was blocked.
"Evelyn, are you all right? It's so good to know that you're all right. This group of people actually stopped me from seeing you. Who gave them the right to do that?"
While he was speaking, he was so angry that his face turned red. Seeing this, Evelyn frowned.
Then, she said to Aria, "Let him go."
Frowned, Aria obviously knew who Jeffrey was. He knew that Jeffrey had a special relationship with Evelyn and that Evelyn might get angry if he was hurt. Otherwise, he would have kicked him out already.
How could he let him make such a loud noise to disturb Evelyn?
After being silent for a few seconds, Aria finally waved his hand, so they would to let go of Jeffrey.
