Chapter 52 She Is Jealous
Clarissa's back froze instantly, and she didn't dare move.
In the dark, she opened her eyes wide without saying a word.
She thought, "Does he... really fall asleep?"
"He is usually well-behaved while sleeping. Why is he acting like this today? Is he really pretending to be sleeping?"
Clarissa waited for a moment, and Anderson didn't move anymore. It was so quiet that even the sound of a needle dropping to the ground could be heard. She could only hear his shallow breathing, which was quiet and serene.
She waited for a while. When she was sure that Anderson did not move again, she raised her hand and lifted his arm cautiously, trying to move it away.
However, as soon as she moved, she heard him moaning behind her.
Then, he wrapped his arm around her waist tightly immediately.
Besides, he moved his body to her and buried his handsome face in her long hair. He held her in his arms so tightly as if he was treating her like a big pillow.
Being hugged by him, Clarissa only felt that she almost couldn't breathe, and her body was very stiff.
He was close to her neck, breathing warm breath all over her hair, making her body weak and numb and stimulating her body.
Clarissa's mind went blank, and she was stunned in an instant.
However, Anderson seemed not to know that. He even moved his hand on her waist and held her tighter.
Clarissa gritted her teeth.
Such a posture could no longer be described as ambiguous.
It could be said to be dangerous.
She couldn't stand it anymore and didn't care whether she would wake him up or not. She held his hand and tried to push it away.
However, Anderson suddenly held her so tightly that she couldn't push away his hand no matter how much strength she used.
Just as she was trying hard to break free from his arm, she suddenly heard a muffled laugh from behind her.
Clarissa was stunned shocked. Only then did she come to sense.
She immediately turned her head.
The light was turned on.
In surprise, Clarissa stared at Anderson who was lying on the bed. Since he had been exposed, Anderson didn't pretended to be asleep anymore, but he didn't let go of her waist. He pillowed his head on his arm and looked at her with a smile.
"You finally stop pretending in sleep?"
His tone was full of ridicule.
Clarissa got so mad immediately that she said angrily, "You didn't fall asleep at all?"
"Aren't you the same?"
"I... "
Knowing that she was in the wrong, Clarissa couldn't find any words to refute him. She could only say with depression, "So what? I didn't annoy you when I pretended to be asleep. Why did you pretend to be asleep and annoy me?"
Anderson looked at her quietly.
Clarissa lowered her head slightly, revealing a trace of imperceptible guilty conscience and panic like a lost deer, which melted Anderson's heart.
She really didn't know how to lie.
She just told a small lie but she felt so guilty.
Anderson smiled silently and asked her, "What did you hear when you were outside the study tonight?"
Clarissa was stunned.
She looked up at him.
His eyes were brooding and dark, like the best black jade. Under the dim light, his eyes looked peaceful and calm.
Being looked at by him, Clarissa felt somewhat uneasy for no reason.
He was the one who had made a mistake, but he stared at her with such calm eyes. It was as if she was the one who had done something wrong!
Thinking of this, she felt a little annoyed.
She made up her mind, gritted her teeth and glared at him.
"What do you think? Naturally, I heard everything you said! What's wrong? Mr. Jordan, do you want to explain to me now?"
Anderson laughed again when he saw her irritated and furious look.
He reached out and rubbed her head, causing her hair, which had been messy due to sleep, to become even messier.
Clarissa suddenly jumped up like an angry little kitten.
"Don't touch me!"
Anderson let out a joyful laugh, as if her anger made him even happier.
Clarissa had always been indifferent and unemotional while facing others, but she got angry in front of him.
It was a look that no one in the world could see, and he was the only one to see it.
She didn't pretend to be unconcerned and showed her real emotions.
Clarissa couldn't stand him anymore when she saw him laughing all the time.
She didn't want to sleep on the bed, so she simply got up and wanted to go out.
Anderson's smile instantly disappeared and he pulled her.
"Where are you going?"
Clarissa said coldly, "Keep laughing! I'm going to sleep in the guest room."
"You can't."
Clarissa flew into a rage again.
"Anderson! Don't go too far! Although we got married not because of love, at least we were willing to get married!"
"Even if we are partners, shouldn't you respect my feelings? You not only flirted with another woman in front of me, but also don't allow me to sleep in the guest room!"
Anderson looked at her, and the expression in his eyes became more joyful.
"Mrs. Jordan, can I think that you're being jealous now?"
Clarissa didn't know what to say and widened her eyes.
There was a strange emotion in her heart, which made her panic so much that she had an impulse to escape.
She shook off his hand, "No! I will never be jealous of you! Let me tell you, you can flirt with whoever you want. Anyway, I'm not your real wife. When you make your mind one day, we can divorce directly."
As she spoke, she picked up a pillow and walked out.
Seeing that she was serious, Anderson pulled her in a hurry.
"Alright, it's my fault! You're not jealous. It's all my fault, okay?"
Clarissa ignored him.
Anderson explained hurriedly, "This is a misunderstanding. Other than you, I don't have any other women, let alone any mistresses. If you don't believe me, you can investigate it, or you can ask David."
Clarissa looked at him and sneered.
"David is your assistant. Do you think I'll ask him stupidly?"
Anderson suddenly didn't know what to say.
He thought about it and thought that she was right.
Sure enough, it was not easy to coax Clarissa. Even though he was so smart, he actually came up with such a bad idea when he was so nervous.
He changed a way and coaxed her gently, "Okay, just tell me what you want me to do. But I can swear that except you, I don't have any other women. If I lie to you, I will die in a terrible way."
Before he could finish his words, Clarissa's eyelids suddenly twitched.
She did not know why, but she suddenly felt disturbed in her heart. Before she could react, she had covered his mouth with her hand.
Anderson laughed.
Clarissa glared at him.
"Don't use this method to fool me. If oaths are useful, will there be so many scumbags in the world?"
Anderson took her hand and smiled, "Yes, oaths are useless, but my words are sincere. Baby, since I've married you, I won't flirt with any other women. My personal morality and family education don't allow me to do such a thing. Do you believe me?"
